Not a bad little place, clean, with a lot of stock. More than a hole-in-the-wall little guy, but not a big corporate place like Cabela’s. Folks were friendly and attentive. Archery guy was out on the day I first came in so I had to return the next day. They only had three crossbows in stock, which I thought was a little thin for just five weeks before archery season opens. They don’t sell the low-end crossbows; their cheapest one is $ 699. I spent maybe 20 minutes with the Archery manager asking a lot of questions. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions patiently. The only negative was that the bow he was offering was last year’s model, not made any more, and he didn’t disclose that. I also spent some time at the gun counter. The salesman was great; he knew a lot about guns and was happy to show me anything. I would have no problem sending my friends there, and I think they would treat a woman or first time purchaser respectfully and not be condescending like I’ve seen at some other gun stores. It does seem their prices are pretty high; for example, they are asking $ 619 for the ubiquitous Glock 19 Gen 4, but $ 559 or $ 579 is more typical at many other local gun stores. I don’t know if they price match or if they’d negotiate.
