Riverside University Health System Medical Center

This was used to be Riverside County Regional Medical Center, (RCRMC) but its always been a teaching school for interns, guided by professional doctors. based on my recent follow ups, they pretty much improved how it works, my appointment seems to be alot more faster compared to before, usually my appointments would take me 6 hrs. to finish but now they last for 2 hrs. its still slow but i can tolerate that, considering this is a public hospital paid by my insurance.
i know most of the previous reviews on RCRMC, have bad reviews but to me…
im thankful for this hospital bec. they saved my life from a swine flu, i was one of the few who survived (they said) its also the same time i was diagnosed for diabetes 7 yrs. ago, i am aware about my health, im educated (they offer diabetes class) has given my own psychiatrist to make sure i have good mental state, i have a dietician that motivates my exercises and gives me information for eating healthy. i was given a better explanation based on my chronic cough and sleep apnea. i also have to thank IEHP for everything.
based on my long time patient here’s a little tip for you:
APPOINTMENTS — call early, they open at 7:30am.
ER — you will have to wait longer (about 6 – 8 hrs) if its not a life or death situation, so if you only have an ear infection, prepare for a long wait. if you’re an IEHP patient, they offer a nurse hotline, ask for it on your next visit or call your provider.
PARKING — best parking is in the morning from 6 – 9, you will find some open parking when you come in the afternoon but all the fronts are taken.
CAFETERIA FOOD — its cheap and very good, i must say too good for a hospital ;)
1 star off, because their pharmacy was kinda slow, which is why i switched to walgreens and its closer to my house.
