WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! We pick up food for a lunch break take it back to work. open it up and one of the chicken clubs(we got 2) had no bacon. i called and explained, The lady on the phone informed me that i had to bring the food back for a new one or could be refunded the difference(cost of bacon). I asked if they had a book where they could record my info so at a later date i could return for a free replacement since i was at work and that is how ALL other food places work. she said no, that since she asked me to bring the food back and i refused that all she could do was refund the cost of bacon. i asked for a manager and she said she was the manager… BULLSHIT! i will never spend another dime there, and since i work around the corner we eat there constanly. NOTANYMORE! It wasnt my fault that THEY messed up the order, so i must leave work and drive back over there to correct it.

They are very good as far as fast food joints go. The staff makes it worth going for sure. They just changed owners so not sure how that affect them but I love this place. My waitress always knew me and my husband when we came in they bring out your food and will sit and chat with you, they actually really care about their customers there. The food is on par with like a Gus Jr kind of place, better than Farmer Boys but obviously not a four star fancy place. It’s worth going for sure if you want quick and yummy comfort food. French toast is super delicious and they have the best sausage ever it’s HUGE

I use to live around the corner and come here all the time. That was 4 years ago. I loved the fries and the two chili cheese dogs for $ 3.99. Apparently the owners at that time retired and this place is under new ownership. That being said, this place has really taken a dive since then. The prices have sky rocketed and the food is sub par. Now, one chili cheese dog is $ 4.00! They say it’s a larger, all beef dog now. I liked them the way they were. Anyway, I got the deluxe burger combo for $ 3.89. What a joke. I can look past the burger coming out plain(nothing but meat & cheese) when I asked for ketchup & mustard instead of thousand, but the burger patty itself was literally paper thin and smaller than my fist(Adding cheese was .60 cents extra btw). Very disappointing and unsatisfying. I will say the fries are still delicious. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to the once great Tom’s #1 World Famous Chiliburgers.

I’ve been coming to this place my whole life. Their fries are awesome! But. I had my last visit a few months ago. Get this, go thru the drive thru, I order bean n cheese burrito special«$ 1.50» as it saws on the window, some fries and a side of ranch. Get to the window girl saws my total is almost $ 10. I tell her it sounds wrong, I just ordered fries cheap burrito n ranch. She says well I charged u for the more expensive $ 6 burrito. Then she saws let me see if he already made it, she comes back says he already started. So W.e. I pay. Mind u 50 cent card charge. I ask for some extra Salsa for the extra LG burrito, sge says 50 cent per side… ok I pay for 4 of them plus another debit charge. Then I get my order, my ranch isn’t there, I wait while I’m ignored, then miss attitude finally asked me anything else, I reply with I ordered ranch it’s not in there. She goes, comes back«u didn’t pay for ranch it’s another 50 cents.» I say u know what nevermind give me my money back.. She leaves 5 mins later comes back u can just have the ranch. I said forget it u treated me like crap, overcharged me made me wait forever then now all the sudden u wanna satisfy me. This is one of MANY rediculous things that happen here. I’m done last straw good luck toms enjoy ur hobo customers I’m never coming back.!!

This is the first visit here where the food has been terrible. We used to be regulars. Normally the fries here are out of this world great, but today they were soggy, not crisp at all. Not even ranch dressing could dress up these fries. The patty-melt’s meat was like a boot: overcooked. I lost interest and threw most of it away. Whatever they use in the bathroom to cover up the smell was prevalent from any corner of the building. It wasn’t very appetizing, more like nauseating. Sorry, once a regular here, but it is going to be a really, really long time, before I come back again… if I do.

Came in for breakfast with a friend and the food was okay. Typical old school diner feel and look. I can’t get rid of the thought of the location. DONOTGOINTOTHEBATHROOM! Went to wash my hands but left feeling worse then when I walked in.

After a very long day at work, I was starving. It was dark outside and I decided to go through the drive thru, so I did not get a good look at the outside of the building or the inside, but the menu board and what I could see from the car was very old, in poor repair and had a general«musty» feel — as I said, I was starving. Once I began to eat my avocado burger with cheese(no bacon) and chili cheese fries, I noticed a few things: 1. Burger bun almost stale 2. Bun tasted strange, similar to another food item(which I could not pinpoint) and had a faint plastic after taste, but only in certain places 3. Burger should have been warmer given the short time it took me to drive back and the cheese was not even close to melted indicating the burger likely never made it to the proper temperature before being served After noticing this, I decided to look up other people’s reviews. After seeing more concerns over cleanliness, strange tasting food and temperatures, I looked up the Riverside County Dept of Environmental Health facility inspection reports. They have received the bare minimum score to receive an A(90 which is passing) rating 5 out of the last 12 inspections. The other 7 inspections had slightly higher scores. Anything below the minimum score of 90 is labeled as «This establishment does not comply with minimum sanitary standards.» Then I reviewed the violations which mostly all pertain to basic sanitation and contamination, hold/cold holding temperatures and utensils/equipment not being properly cleaned or installed. This explained everything. Needless to say I am still hungry as most of the meal went into the garbage. Yes, the service was friendly/fast and the chili cheese fries tasted great, but I would rather pay more for the food so the staff could be properly trained and managed to be better than just meeting the bare«minimum sanitary standards» than a potential food borne illness or this imagination of what really happened in the preparation of the food(why was there a plastic after taste?). If you have never had a food borne illness, it is NOT something that you would ever want to experience, trust me. This is coming from personal experience as well as professional.

Ordered the steak sandwich… It was over cooked and eat too much fat! The fries tasted funny… like the oil was very old and you can taste I other food flavors from the oil ewww! The ranch is not that great either… soda selection sur who in the world wants RC. cola? The mayo they use is yellow in color like oily gooey looking… I had asked for a side of it that’s how I know… so gross! Anyhow I asked for a refund…

This was A-OK. I really wasn’t hungry when I got here but I wanted to eat something so I wasn’t starving come supper time. A typical fast food burger– very thin factory patty. But it looks like you can have about a hundred variations if you want. Bacon was good, not that paper-thin stuff Jack uses. I’d say upgrade the meat a notch and you’d have something worth coming back for. But a very serviceable hamburger.

Stick to the burgers and fries. Ordered steak and eggs. Medium rare. 1st steak. Well done. 2nd steak. Warmed up? I dont know what it was. 3rd steak. Rare. Cook it a little more. Finally I said what ever. This steak was more like carne Asada fat. Half my bite was fat that I spit out. Manager apologize and refunded me.

Two trips here so far. One dine in and another drive thru. Pros: The chili cheese fries and chili burger were great. The buffalo wings and fried zucchini were also pretty good. Cons: The onion rings were too toasty and oily and not flaky at all. The soda tastes like there’s mildew in the soda lines. Waited in the drive thru for about 10 minutes and waited at the dine in area 15 minutes the second time. Service was subpar. No suggestions or smiles. Asked for hot sauce and peppers after getting the meal, she said she’d get it… but didn’t. I Asked someone else.

The food here was so delicious and hot! It took me a while to find something good to eat near Perris and we drove by this gem. The portions are really big and the environment was calm. I recommend the chili fries! Im so picky with them and this place got it right!

My family and I went here for 1 cheeseburger, 1 ice tea and 1 water. We were stuck in the drive thru for over ten minutes. The lobby was empty with the exception of one person. There were two cars ahead of us. The worker in the drive thru was rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend coming here. The burger was only decent and really heavy on the lettuce with a skimpy patty. Pretty lame if you ask me.

It was ok. Fast service. They’re nice people. Cooked to order. I didn’t care for the taste of the hash browns. Couldn’t put my finger on it. The eggs were greasy. I asked for crispy bacon, it wasnt. All together, inexpensive, you get what you pay for. Filled the empty. Probably won’t rush right back.

It’s OKAY. I love the chili cheese fries with or without pastrami. I don’t like the carne asada fries. It taste like chili cheese fries with carne asada meat. it was dry. I will never order it again-I took one bite and threw it away. My family and I have dined inside. It’s not super clean and some table’s were dirty. But inside definitely needs some upgrade. The restroom was clean. The worker’s are sweet. They even serve you if they’re not too busy. Besides all that I will go back for my chili cheese fries.

Not intended to be a groundbreaking reasturaunt. It is just a run of the mill diner with terrific chili cheese fries and almost anything else they have with chili on it. If your looking for a place that will make you rethink your life, go somewhere else. If you want a affordable meal that is enough for 2, go to Tom’s.

This little franchise is a little known gem of the city. It’s food is amazing, the people are warm and friendly, and their grande quesodilla is hands down the best value in food

Food = BELOWAVERAGE(Cheap) Dining Room = BELOWAVERAGE(Dated) Cleanliness = SUBSTANDARD(Dirty Tables) I wanted to like Tom’s, I’ve known a few folks that have eaten here for years and remain loyal customers. And so I ordered up a deluxe chiliburger and chilicheese fries – their house specialty! Sadly I noticed a sea of dirty tables, grease and smears of ketchup and mustard, straw paper wads etc. Frankly, it was hard to get past the unclean and dated furnishings which felt like I was eating in a GOODWILL store! I wanted to shower after. The deluxe chiliburger was mostly big bun. When I ordered it I asked the lady what«deluxe» meant, she said it was just a word used by the cooks to know which burger to make. On the oustide, it just looked like two halves of a bun with nothing inbetween – I thought they’d forgot the burger! I opened it up and found my burger inside, it was about the size of a silver dollar – literally leaving about an inch of naked bun all the way around! A smear of chili and mustard lay under the thin coin size patty. This was no chiliburger, or even ‘DELUXE’ burger, but more like a JOKEBURGER! The chilicheese fries were probably usually okay, but MY fries were under done, which when chili was added, made them limp and less loveable. Some cold shredded cheese was sprinkled on top, but far from the melty mouthfull that’s wished for. The chili itself, what I ate, was a little stale and somewhat burnt tasting – probably because I was eating near closing time, and the residue of an all-day chili pot. The chili appeared meaty and looked good, but kind of tasteless and lacking any personality or true flavor. Well as I said, I wanted to like Tom’s #1, but after my near $ 7 meal at 9pm, in a room 2 dirty and dated to ignore, it will be a long time B-4 I’m back. maybe after a nice renovation. or even perhaps. demolition!
