My husband and I had lunch here today, it was very good, hot, fresh and the service was terrific. The manager came to out table and asked after us and as we were leaving the owner/cook followed us to our car. My husband at first thought he left something but was just to thank us, ask after our meal and to tell us to ask for him and he would gladly explain the menu and anything else. Overall a very nice lunch.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. The chips and salsa are amazing, as well as the food. Wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Excellent salsa and the pork is amazing. The nachos are good and they offer an assortment plate that has a few of each type. Good food. As good as the other guys and in most ways better.

Survival log 5÷21÷14 11:30 am: Me and my crew arrive at Si Señor. We’re exhausted, and have been lacking nourishment for quite some time. 11:35 am: We were seated pretty quick. It feels great to have the weight lifted off our tired feet. We are greeted with chips and warm salsa — perfection. 11:40 am: We put in our orders. The waiting begins. The surrounding area is relatively packed with the locals. Must be lunch time, or something. 12:00 pm: no sign of the waitress. Has she deserted us? Why has she forsaken us? 12:20 pm: waitress returns. She alerts me that they are out of provisions to make my dish. Fifty minutes after I order to tell me they can’t make my dish? Ludicrous! 12:30 pm: The food arrives. Food is placed in front of me. My mouth waters. Oh sweet succulent food. I am about to delve into my plate when the waitress comes out and tells me that it is not my order. WHYDOYOUTEASEME!!! 12:32 pm: Everyone has food but me. Sucks to mess up the order of the guy writing the review. 12:33 pm: Finally. Food has arrived. 12:39 pm: Food gone. Portions mediocre. Now for the check. Hopefully our vehicle starts after having not been started in a while. 12:47 pm: check asked for. 12:49 pm: check received. 12:51 pm: noticed that our check was wrong. We were charged for a plate nobody ordered. Oops. 12:54 pm: We finally leave this god forsaken place. On to the next journey of our lives. Oh by the way, the restaurant forces a 18% gratuity for 6+ people, which I’m pretty sure is illegal. Not 100% though. General notes on our 1.67 hour escapade: we did show up around lunch hour and it was pretty packed. There was only three waitresses. The staff was kind and moderately attentive despite it being busy. All in all, we took an early lunch to get back early and beat the crowd. However, we showed up past the end of our normal lunch hour. If you are in a rush, I do not recommend. Staff/service:4/5 Food:3/5 Speed: −100÷5 Overall: 1⁄5 The staff generally tried to help out, just maybe not in the most efficient way possible. I guess It’s tough for a restaurant when you are dealing with six engineers who design processes to be more efficient. This place needs work. ASAP. We won’t be coming back.

I guess I can start a blog, we got here at 11:30, it is now 12:25 and still no lunch. We have eaten two servings of chips and salsa and may run out of time and have to go back to work before we get our entrees. Some of the entrees got here at 12:30 the rest straggled in a few minutes later. If you are hungry don’t order the tacos, a small chipmunk could probably eat it all. The carnitas are not bad, a little more seasoning would help. They should not put sliced hot dogs in the charro beans. Word has it the quesadilla was good but on the small side, enchiladas were reported to be very good. Bill came was wrong, tried to add another item that we didn’t order I doubt it was intentional. The bill came with an 18% automatic tip because there were 6 of us. 18% for unacceptable service, wtf? Probably should pass on this place for a while.
