I love this place! I am a noob when it comes to wine but this was the best wine tasting experience ever! First, thanks to California Passport Tours for setting up our visit. Secondly, Steve and his lovely wife Laura are so funny, sweet and welcoming!!! They are so passionate about wine making and the quality shows in the wine… AMAZING! Steve and Laura explained the process, blends, history and offered a variety of their wines for tasting. Steve personally poured the wine and kept track of everyone’s order(no one was skipped and everyone had the opportunity to try EVERY wine offered). Also important, our glasses were never empty. ;) I would highly recommend them! Their wine tasting hours are limited but definitely worth the wait! You haven’t tasted great cab wine until you visit here! ^_^

Top wine and winemaker South of Napa. Hidden gem in a low key estate with a focus on low key hosting and 65degree wine making. Old world style with new world controls so pure bliss and no headaches. Four yeasts are mixed with French oak, pure Cabernet franc grapes in French oak with one oxygen exposure. Expensive but well worth it as Morton Steak chain attests to. I wish they would join county and local wine association to help place us further in the map and teach other local wine makers how to do it right

Would really have liked to write a review about our EmmaLilly experience but when we got to the winery, despite the sigh saying open Saturday and Sunday 1 – 5, it was closed. It was 3:30 and there was no explanation. checked their web site but it is not helpful. We understand that small businesses might have to close from time to time but would expect at least a «sorry …» sign for customers who drive out during their posted business hours. After seeing their signs all over the back roads of East Morgan Hill, we thought we would give them a try… guess not. We will just continue patronizing the other wineries in Morgan Hill that are actually open when they say they are.

FANTASTIC! You wont meet nicer people, or drink better wine anywhere else! A true boutique-style winery with attention paid to every detail in the wine-making process. Truly handcrafted, complex, and well-rounded cabernet offerings.

Delicious Cabs and Bordeaux in Morgan Hill? Yes! Emmalily Vineyards — tucked behind Morgan Hill’s iconic cone-shaped El Toro mountain north west side about 10 minutes off 101’s Cochrane exit. Sold at restaurants like Morton’s and Odeum and named after the owners’ two daughters, enjoy great reds and great people. In addition to vineyard dogs but there is also two pot belly pigs, a Shetland pony and a horse! For a nice scenic route googlemap through Almaden to scenic McKean/Oak Glen Rds — take a left when road ends past Calero Reservoir and a right on Dahlberg. Check facebook site for tasting dates/times:
