This used to be my favorite Erik’s until a year or so ago when it seems management changed. They used to be extremely quick to get your orders out and I never had an issue. Now, I have a 50% chance of my order being incorrect in some way and it takes way longer. All the employees are perfectly nice, it is just not an efficient or accurate process anymore. It’s still Erik’s, so the food is fine, but the service quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Very slow making sandwhiches. Several people waiting for food. Orders often get mixed up. They usually only have 1 person making orders and 1 person taking orders. I only get 30 minutes and often have to wait 10 to 15 minutes.

Tried to get one of the only low carb items on the menu and ordered a side house salad. Turns out the salad comes loaded with pasta salad and croutons. After declining their offer to «pick off the croutons and pasta», we asked for a refund and it took them twenty minutes to process the refund. As they were doing the refund we found out they had overcharged us by four dollars for the salad, and the entire time they were doing the refund they acted extremely put off, saying, «we don’t give refunds very often» and saying to their manager«well, we offered to remake the salad». At least the overcooked chili was edible… Kind of. Will not be returning to Erik’s Deli again. Yuck.

I would give them no stars if I could! Place is ridiculous! Tell me, what is the point of putting in a phone order if it won’t be ready by the time I get there? They didn’t even start making my order until 3 minutes after my arrival. As I was waiting, the manager or lead was directing her staff to do tasks but in a very degrading way in front of other patrons. In my personal opinion, it was rude and disrespectful. So unfortunate cause their food is delicious but it doesn’t make up for the lack in customer service. Don’t think I’ll be going there until they shape up and replace the management they currently have. This place needs some shaping up!

I ordered the salsa ranch salad to go pretty dam small. The morgan hill eris deli always seems to be something out of bread or soap or small ass salad. Have much better luck in SJ

Love this Erik’s! My wife and I have been to this Erik’s many times and have always received excellent service and great food. What impresses me the most are the times we have come in close to closing and still receive the same high level of customer service and the food is always fresh. We are never made to feel that we need to rush because of the time :-)

We came here just for a bite we were the second customers here, and two young ladies behind us, we ordered and waited about 20 minutes before my BF got angry. I went up to the counter twice and they had prepared everyone’s meals but our and I had already asked once. They ignored me both times I came up their and I had to interrupt a transaction to get her attention when we asked for a refund, then we were told to wait. She said it must have not printed out but I was asked what I was waiting for the first time and they still did not make it. By then I had to keep my boyfriend calm he was gripping his credit card so tight I thought his hand would bleed. He even tipped them when he ordered, thus were hurried, curt, and I had the feeling that both ladies behind the counter were upset before we walked in. It was a waste of time in Our day for which we were trying to enjoy after scratching our plans to go to the beach due to to much traffic.

I come here fairly frequently and I like the food. Sometimes my orders get messed up, but it’s not a sit down restaurant so I don’t expect perfection. I am giving this a two star because of my recent experience. I came in to a completely empty store — no customers and definitely no visible employees. I waited five minutes and finally a guy came from the back all flustered and upset. I placed my order and he ran through the place looking for his coworker. He brought her back and they fought about who would make my order. Then, as he rang me up he got very angry when the cash register wasn’t responding the way he wanted it to. He was literally slamming the register, I was scared and felt like he has anger issues. Talk about uncomfortable. The two also bickered about who would call the manager to report a problem, and kept going back and forth. It was weird and inappropriate behavior the whole time.

I really enjoyed the Turkey Walnut Pedro and vegetable soup however the cashier and the deli lady were very curt and in a hurry. I did not experience quality customer service here.

Had a wonderful chicken Gorgonzola salad tonight on my way to Monterey! My guy and I are taking a long weekend and Eriks is hop off/hop on 101 at Cochrane Road. Great chicken rice and veggie soup too! Everything was really fresh and we didn’t have to wait long at all. They’re very efficient! I’m only removing one star for the length of time it takes them to bus the tables. They obviously had just gotten done with the dinner rush and many of the tables were very dirty. We found one that was clean but we had to look for a while. That’s the only reason I’m taking away one star. Otherwise it was a great experience as usual, and we will always stop at Erik’s on our way to Cannery Row! Love the fact that they will give you take out cups for your drinks too! We each took a drink for the road!

Didn’t get to taste the food. The service just to order was so awful. The cashier would stop while attempting to take our order to talk to the pervious customer and or the other employees. I had to stop and repeat a few times. Finally got annoyed and walked out.

I like this deli, never had a problem… except for the potato salad. .It tastes like it’s processed, mushy, and tasteless. Update week of 6÷1÷15 — last two visits the guy making sandwiches wore gloves then opened the door to the patio wearing the same gloves and going back in with no change in gloves… gross!

Super bad customer service. It’s not hard to take a sandwich order. They messed up my moms order, refunded her(which was nice of them) and then charged something wrong. One of the chicks working there… No idea her name was acting like I was annoying when I asked her for a box. It’s not hard to just be NICE. Food isn’t good enough to endure that.

This Eric’s was horrendous. I ordered the Del Monte Special and was treated to an avocado sandwich which was missing the cheese, and they used the stem end of a tomato that was not ripe. I also ordered the Marrakech express, not only did I get wrong sandwich, but it was not edible. The lettuce was brown around the edges, the pita pocket was not a pocket! It was pulled apart so it had to be eaten with fingers. Apart from the food, someone had thrown up in the doorway and while I was getting my order it remained. The smell was awful. None of the employees standing in prep area bothered to clean it up during the 15 minutes I waited. Also the dishes of customers litter the outside tables, waiting to be cleaned up. I only gave this Eric’s one star because I was unable to give zero star. This place has changed throughout the years, Eric’s Deli’s are quite delicious, just not this one.

This is the worst Erik’s Deli I have EVER eaten at. I’ve lived in Morgan Hill most of my life and have NEVER been disappointed with the Erik’s that’s in the Vineyard shopping center. THIS Erik’s however has given me multiple bad experiences ever since they opened. My most recent experience happened today when I ordered a Marakesh Express to go. Firstly, the guy behind the register By the time I got around to eating the sandwich, it was clearly not even remotely close to the sandwich I normally order. They basically took another sandwich’s ingredients and shoved it in a pita. They put FETA in it, huge chunks of lettuce, and chopped up cucumber and tomato. WTF?! THISISSUPPOSEDTOBE A HOTSANDWICH. OBVIOUSLYMANAGEMENTISN’T TRAININGTHEIRPEOPLEPROPERLY. Also, every time I’ve come in, tables are ALWAYS filthy. A few times when I’ve tried to sit and eat there I can’t find a clean table to sit at and would have to bus MYOWNTABLE, just so I could sit down. Another time a few months ago, my family tried to eat there and we sat down, waited for our sandwiches, my mother’s sandwich never came. She had paid for it, and when she went to go ask about after the rest of us had practically finished our sandwiches, they gave her a hard time, denied her ordering it, and didnt even try to apologize or make reparations. NEVEREVEREATINGATTHISERIK’s AGAIN. STEERCLEAR.

Cashier did not listen. Acted like we were bothering her by being there. Took our sandwich and salad order. Gave us a number. We sat at a table and after a short while, a limited English speaking employee brought a sandwich. Very difficult to communicate with him, but finally figured out it was not ours, in spite of the fact that we had a table number. Then a little later, he brought my wife’s sandwich, but no salad. Waited a couple of minutes, then went to the cashier to ask about the salad. «Oh, you didn’t get your salad?» She then told an employee to make it, so they still hadn’t made the salad. Food was really good though. No TP in the women’s restroom. No excuse for that as the dispenser had room for two rolls.

Nice guy behind the counter… Mediocre to just ok Sandwiches. I didn’t find anything special here. I actually thought it was kind of expensive. The tables weren’t that clean. crumbs and dirty plates. No value for the money. Sorry folks.

This is the place to go on a cold night… wait any night is a good night to go to Erik’s Deli. All the sandwiches are Delicious and I have tried all of them… not all in the same sitting. The soup is ok you can tell it comes from a bag and they just heat it up, but I don’t come here for the soup. Inside is very clean well lit day or night. I think it is awesome that they use mason jars for your drink and real plates and silverware. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
