I’ve been here a few times, they are so nice and very professional that I wish they were a pawn shop. Since the one in gilroy is the opposite. I really got the most out of my gold and silver here. They don’t low ball you.

I walked into morgan Hill Gold and Silver. I had $ 4,000 to buy silver coins. I told the man at the counter what i wanted to do. He said a price and i tried to negotiate the price he rudely screamed at me «I’ve gotta eat too!» And a few more choice words i just walked out and couldn’t believe that a business would treat a customer like that. Beware.

I did a lot of Unilocal research to find someone to whom I was comfortable selling some old, unworn jewelry. I also liked the fact that they’ve been in business for 30 years.
As the other Unilocal reviewers said, I was treated professionally and politely, and feel that I got a good price for my jewelry. :-)

Gilroy, CA
Call before you go if you are counting on their being open. They take odd days off, and for me, probably just bad luck but out of the last 5 – 6 times going there I’ve found a closed door 2X. This last time, I rode my bicycle out from Gilroy, a bit of a ride, Yes I should have called first, but I was not pleased to find that closed sign.
They are cheerful, friendly, professional, and pay well. I’ve done a lot of good business with ‘em and recommend ‘em. For me, I’m gonna stick with my more local buyer in Gilroy, but if I lived in Morgan Hill I think the days off would be much less of a bother.
The map doesn’t look right — they’re on the West side of Monterey, with a bus stop right out front — super accessible on the #68 bus. You can hop on the #68 from the Capitol flea market and take your gold and silver buys right here and turn ‘em into cash.

I was impressed with the knowledgable and friendly atmosphere at their family owned shop in Morgan Hill. Who would have thought that the broken chains, bracelets, earrings, and other assorted odds and ends that had been sitting in a box for years would have yeilded some ready cash just in time for Christmas Shopping!

I have dealt with MH Gold & Silver a few times when selling mostly bullion items; mostly Gold Eagles (AGE’s) I needed to liquidate.
These guys are quite knowledgeable, and friendly to deal with. The only small issue is that they only pay 97% of the spot price for gold eagles and certain bullion items. You might not always get the best deal here, but they are very convenient, and no-​nonsense to trade with locally.

My first time there and the shop looked well-​kept. I believe the owner Phil (I’m bad with names) was more than helpful and in my opinion an honest guy. I would definitely go back and I would recommend this place to anyone who either wants to buy/​sell their precious metals, or to anyone who just wants to get some information.

I went to Morgan Hill Gold and Silver. Really cool guys that know what they are talking about. Open from 11−7PM Weekdays and are even open on weekends.
