Bob Evans. Home of the incredible shrinking pancake? I have taken my family to Bob Evans, oh about once a month or so. Today’s pancakes came out about half sized, and we complained to the manager. She told us that there is some variation in the size. They were literally half the size of any other time I have ordered them. They used to. cover the plate, and I could. barely eat three. I ate 4 and was still hungry. Plus had bacon and eggs. They did offer to bring more, but apparently the half size pancake is the new normal. Not impressed.

There’s a reason the place is empty for dinner. Not sure why they are even open. Not typical of a Bob Evans where we live. Our server was busy doing her side work and didn’t bring out all of our food. She forgot my daughters pancakes and gave sausage vs bacon which she asked for. She said they would be right out and she disappeared to do her side work. She eventually came back and I asked for them and she said she wasn’t sure what was going on with the kitchen. She returned a few minutes later with them. My wife and other daughter’s turnkey was not hot but only luke warm. She didn’t want to send it back because we are traveling and she wanted to eat and go My pot roast was all fat and shreds of meat. No chunks at all. Seems like they got the bottom of the pot. It was obvious to see but once again we needed to get on the road and I didn’t want to complain. Checked out and the manager didn’t make eye contact or ask how our meal was. Seems they just wanted to get done. It was only 7p Maybe shut down for dinner if you can’t offer decent food and service. Just a thought

Ok, so it’s a chain. Beyond that, we had some really good warm food in our bellies without a long wait. The place was packed and they said they were under staffed but to be honestly it wasn’t that bad! I suggest breakfast. The omelet is low calorie and filling. My son had the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. There were two large chicken breasts and a heapong scoop a mash. Bellies warm and full. Happy kids. No complaints here!

Lousy service. We waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken, 5 minutes to get coffee and another 7 minutes to get creamer. The waitress was gloomy and never smiled once. Our food took another 25 minutes and was lukewarm at best. Obviously it sat for a while because the table which came in 20 minutes after us got their food at the same time. Will never eat here again.

Horrible service. Restaurant was almost empty, but we were ignored anyway after being seated. We got up and left after waiting 15 minutes.

Service was horrible. We waited 15 minutes for a seat for 2, we’re never told that there was going to be a long wait. When we were finally seated, we saw no one for another 10 minutes. The table next to us had been there over half an hour and were just getting their drinks, so we decided to leave. When we informed the person we saw behind the counter we were leaving, she replied«‘kay, later.» Needless to say I was about the most angry I have ever been at a restaurant. This place hardly even qualifies for the title of a restaurant, though, it’s more of a joke. I don’t recommend my worst enemies eat there. By the way, this was on a football Saturday several hours after a game, at about 8pm. There were 40,000 extra people in the city. A decent manager would have had more than 3 people working.

who can say no to gravy? we did a quick search on Unilocal for nearby places that were open at 9am on a Sunday… ta da Bob Evans! The food was good and fast and well priced. It reminds me of Perkins.

Nice clean restaurant. Service was a okay. The baby changing table was not in the best location. It was located right next to the sinks… luckily no one needed the sinks as I was changing a diaper.
