Its an ok place to stay really. I do t k ow what these other reviewers are talking about. It’s not a five star hotel but a decent place to rest your head while traveling on a long trip. Wifi isn’t free but it has a pool and is clean so it balances out.

The room was clean, but kind of expensive($ 79 with AARP discount) for what you get. Has free WiFi(good connection), a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. No smoky smell. They are completely smoke free now. Some amenities nearby. There were some holes in the wall. Good TV w/cable. It was OK.

Only gave it one star because I couldn’t give it ½. It’s old, noisey and generally somewhere you don’t want to be! They have Wi-Fi but it’s so far away it may be in the next business

Don’t stay here unless you are a smoker. I am not and couldn’t breathe by the next morning. We had a non smoking room, but the whole hotel had a smoking haze in the hallway that drifted under our door. We had to put towels down in front of door to keep smoke out. Also the next morning someones vehicle had been hit. We didn’t stay for breakfast. I would rather pay more money for a better place.

Dated, old feeling. Room was non smoking but smelled smoked in. Bathroom door was sticky and hard to open and close. They had a continental breakfast consisting of a couple of cheap danishes and tiny«blueberry» muffins, a small juice dispenser, and a coffeepot. All of this was topped off with charming flypaper hanging overhead. I think it may be the least expensive place to stay in Morgantown, but I’d sample somewhere else next time I visit.

You get what you pay for at the EconoLodge– unless you get there so late at night and so desperate that the only thing left is the«jacuzzi suite.» Then you pay $ 30 extra to get a round bed with a mirrored ceiling and a giant jacuzzi-style bathtub. These things did not seem worth it when we collapsed into our room. But we ended up staying there on our return trip because without the jacuzzi or the mirrored ceilings it wasn’t too expensive, and they allowed dogs, and the location was right. Morgantown occupies a very useful middle position at the west end of I-68, and I-68 occupies a very useful niche of being a safe, fast, pleasant alternative to the Pennsylvania turnpike(I-70 as it runs through parts of Pennsylvania). You might be able to do better, but you could sure do a heck of a lot worse. And there’s even a Shoney’s next door, if that’s your thing, although we scrounged breakfast from the nearby Target(which contains a Starbucks) and McDonald’s(which contains sausage biscuits).
