The Giant Eagle deserves 5 stars! Parking is plentiful, the store is clean and well-lit and everyone is always friendly(even the customers!). I have a severely restricted diet due to my food allergies and Giant Eagle is a hidden gem in Morgantown. For others who have dairy allergies, are vegan or vegetarian, or have Celiac disease and can’t eat gluten, the Giant Eagle will be a nice surprise for you. There is a small but well-stocked ‘natural’ section a little past the fruits and veggies. If you are gluten-free, you will be in luck because there is an ENTIRESHELF dedicated to gluten-free products! However, they have essentials for anyone who is… dietarily challenged. Earth Balance butter(soy, soy-free, and whipped) Vegan yogurt(usually sold out — coconut, soy, mixed berry, almond) Daiya cheese(blocks) Amy’s frozen meals(including vegan cheese pizza) Tom’s of Maine toothpaste Bob’s Red Mill Silk soy milk Soy/rice/almond milk in aseptic containers(these are the non-refrigerated boxes) Canned soups: vegan lentil soup, organic canned noodles for kids(not vegan), soup stocks Blue tortilla chips — salt free(I forgot the brand name) If you are Jewish, Mexican, or Asian, there is also a small but basic selection of foods from your motherland so you’ll be able to make your home cooked meals with the sauces and spices that are available. Heck, I was even able to find mirin which is not a well-known Japanese product! Kudos to the grocery store buyer at the Giant Eagle! I am so happy that if I am even in dire need for something like vegan ice cream at 2AM, I know where to go! For the rest of the population who do not have food restrictions: — The fruit and veggie selection is good. It’s usually well stocked and fresh and things are not rotting in the store. — Booze: There is a special section in the store that sells booze(wine and hard alcohol). Blue Laws say you have to buy alcohol after 1PM on Sundays. — Coupons: You can use in-store Giant Eagle coupons as well as those you get from the newspaper or online. Save even more with using our Giant Eagle grocery card. — Greeting cards: There is an entire aisle of greeting cards, kids’ stickers, and seasonal cards. — Office Supplies: They actually sell printer ink here and there is a small but limited selection of HP ink! Notebook paper, highlighters, pens and crayons are aplenty.

Évaluation du lieu : 5 San Francisco, CA
I’m giving this place 5 stars for several reasons, even though I have found several grocery stores far superior. Keep in mind, this is West Virginia… 1. Open 24 hours. I worked at a movie theater in college(read my review: Hollywood Theater) and would get out of work pretty late sometimes, especially Thursdays. We would preview the movies coming out on Fridays so we’d end up leaving around 1:30am. This is late for me! I had class the next morning at 9:30am, so yes I needed my sleep(I don’t have to defend myself, even though I am). Anyway, I’d stop by GE at 2am to get enough food for a few days and then head home. There was obviously nobody around at that hour and that means no lines! 2. Really cheap prices compared to Kroger’s at the time. 10 for $ 10 on a bunch of stuff like canned soup, mac & cheese, water bottles, etc. 3. Their produce section was actually decent, getting a lot of fresh produce on Monday evenings. I learned the tips and tricks as to getting the freshest produce by heading over at certain times of day when they were restocking the shelves. 4. Did I mention their cheap prices?! I was a college student! 5. Spending $ 50 or more on groceries got me pretty sweet discounts on gas. Nuff said.
