I’m very disappointed in the care I received at Med Express. The doctor spent a total of 4 ½ minutes with me, including physical exam. He cut me off mid sentence after asking about my symptoms. He then told me I had a virus, but gave me an antibiotic. I’m no doctor but I’m also fairly intelligent and I know this isn’t appropriate. I was coughing continuously and he said my lungs were clear but then said I had bronchitis. I had to ask for cough medicine and what he gave me was essentially an over the counter medicine. The very next day, I made an appointment with my PCP and was told that I do indeed have bronchitis and the antibiotic and cough medicine I was given were basically given to pacify me. My PCP gave me the correct medicine, including a steroid, and threw away the other medications. I immediately felt better. I wasted a $ 30 co-pay and $ 10 on medications.

I went to this place years ago while I was in college. I had visited the ER and stayed overnight due to some complications from my gallbladder. Long story short, my ER doctor told me to go here for follow up if I needed anything, so I did. I had to bring in a sample before I went and when I handed it to the nurse before I went into the examination room, I heard her cackling with the front desk secretaries and the staff doctor there at the time, commenting on how disgusting I was. I was horribly ill and at the lowest of my lows. Not only was that beyond unnecessary, it was catty, unprofessional and downright appalling. No need to go into further detail. I would have called to report them but I was too sick to care at the time. Careful with this place.

They were once good, but now it seems like they are in it for the money rather than patient care.

Best urgent care clinic in North Central WV. The clinic is easy to find(right off the Interstate), clean and spacious inside, and decorated more like a specialist office instead of an emergency room. Great customer service and friendly doctors. Open almost all day and they do not take appointments. The wait can feel a little long but it is really short compared to the emergency room. The clinic offers most of the typical doctor’s office services but also covers more extensive things like x-rays.
