Smittys Kountry Kreme

Great ice cream but since they started accepting credit they charge you more and don’t have it posted anywhere. This used to be illegal but now I’m not sure

This is a really good local ice cream shop. The owner is local and all the ice cream is made on site. They only have soft serve but that is all they need. I always get the cookie dough mess (like a blizzard). I have never tried their food but I heard it is really good as well.

I love Smitty’s!!! They have the best soft serve ice cream for low prices! A baby cone (larger than one scoop at most places) is $ 1.65. All the flavors are delicious but chocolate, butter pecan and swirl (chocolate and vanilla) are my favorites! I go here more often than I should but it’s just THAT good!

When I am hospitalized with a coronary, I am sending the bill Smitty’s! I was visiting a friend here for a week here recently and I ended up going to Smitty’s, not once… not twice… not even thrice… BUT 5 times!!! That was the length of time that I stayed, by the way. This is the way soft serve used to taste, smooth, creamy, truly a thing of beauty! As Bobby K. stated, portions are ridiculous!!! A baby or small is more than enough for the average human being… but I got a few mediums… and finished them? Don’t judge, it could and will happen to you! They have something called the ‘Hillbilly Mess’, I feel that this is their version of a Blizzard (™), sundaes, covered cones (gads those looked delectable) and actual food (hot dogs, fries and soda). They also have these flavored swirls (I tried the strawberry), which is sort of like having a sundae on a cone, delish and novel! And as the hills of Morgantown were coming into the warm Spring temperatures, this place started really hoppin’! I can tell it’s a really popular local joint, and understandably so! Lord, why are you waiting? You need to be there now! Summer hours are, on average, open until 9 so you still may have some time! YUM!
