I have become a regular customer here. The staff is friendly and they do a good job. I have had manicures and pedicures here, as well as waxing.

One of the worst manicures I’ve had in a long time. This was my first(and last) time here. The entire manicure took no more than 20 minutes from start to finish. My cuticles were not soaked and it was very painful when the manicurist proceeded to push them back dry with just a little cuticle oil. She barely clipped and cleaned my cuticles and I left the place with them looking just as bad as when I came in. The nail polish application was very sloppy and started chipping that same day. Definitely, not recommended.

I went for pedicure. Everything was great until she is was ready to paint my nails,.I pointed out that two toe nails were clipped short crooked and pointing severly right instead of straight. I couldn’t understand her, she started to clip the really short side. I stopped and repeated this went on four times. Finally I asked for the file fixed it myself. I gave her a sparkle top coat, she was pointing to the bottle and i just couldn’t understand what she said. I just said, yes that is the one I would like used. She put it on, it was old, think and globby. A disagreement follows she rolls her eyes and throws a hissy fit and start to handle me rough. I told her if she didn’t calm down, I would leave. In the meantime, NOBODY stepped in and tried to resolve the problem or explained to her or me what was being said. I don’t need this, I tip to well for this kind of sevice. She got $ 5 on I told the person at the register that her behavior was unacceptable and I would not be returning. The other tech was sad, she usually received a $ 15 tip with no complaints from me. To many other places with better service. Try the one accross the street.

The quick details: Technician: Jenny Service: Pink/White Gels.(Full set = $ 100, pink refill $ 35 or $ 30, pink/white refill $ 45) Quick service? Yep, always get seen within 15 minutes of arriving, even with a special request for Jenny I’ve been to a bunch of different nail salons, and with the exception of a few, they just keep getting better and better. I was previously faithful to Gomo’s Nails in Philadelphia, and had been consistently getting what I thought to be gels… then I found out that it wasn’t gel that I was getting, more like acrylics with a gel overlay. I’ve been going to Swan for a while now, and absolutely love it. I always ask for Jenny, and she does an phenomenal job. When she did a pink/white refill for me, she gently filed down the existing gel so that barely any was left, then re-applied it, which left no refill marks and ensured that my nails were nice and thin, not big and thick like with acrylics. Now that i know what real gels look like, I’ve quit Gomo’s forever!
