We went and wanted to try something different. Food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We weren’t sure about an item on the menu so they came out with a sample of it, so we could see if we liked it! Brought a bottle of wine because it’s BYOB so that’s nice. Loved it, will definitely come again!

The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers are huge. The only reason I’m rating four stars and not five is that we were completely rushed from course to course. Was difficult to enjoy company with the wait staff trying to take plates away that we weren’t done with yet. Prices very reasonable and byo helps.

Could not finish eating the humus… as it was coated with red chilli powder. They should not use so much chilli and destroy the delicate taste of humus. The kubede kebab was nice.

Dropped in with two friends w/out a reservation. We were promptly seated with the kind understanding they were fitting us in before other reserved tables started to arrive so we had to be aware of the time. To start we had the dolmeh, potato salad, and pureed eggplant with bread. All were delicious and distinct from other non-Persian versions I have had at Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurants. The steak kebab(Kabob-e-Kubideh) was amazingly paired with one of their special rices. The meat was SO moist and well seasoned. I was in heaven and then the dessert took it to another level. The Persian baklava was not soaked and soggy like others I have tried — instead it was flavorful and perfectly drizzled in rose water. I can see myself craving this place whenever I need a middle eastern food fix and that’s too bad because live in Washington DC!

We felt pampered and will definitely come back often. The staff is very welcoming, they take their time to answer all their questions(and you may have a few considering how authentic it is) and they make sure your experience is satisfying. The portions are generous though not disproportionately huge as in many places in the US. What I liked the most is its authenticity and excellent quality in a non pretentious environment. This is a BYOB place.

Its a five star for two things… 1) there humus and bread is one of the best humus salads I have had in America. And with the fresh warm bread you simply can’t stop eating. 2) there fillet mingon kebab was so so juicy… I warmed up the left overs the next day, and it still had that juicy amazing taste. Now, all the other stuff that I ordered here was mediocre @best. Including the yogurt salad, and the yogurt drink. And last but not least: we got to try to pomegranate soup, we wouldn’t of been able to finish it, if we would of got it as a main dish, so just ask to try it before you decide to order it, It is a very unique and refreshing soup, that you won’t find anywhere else.

We ordered takeout here the other night, the gentleman who helped us was very friendly and our food was ready in about 20 minutes. I went with a the fanjoon stew and I’ll admit that while it definitely was not aesthetically appealing it was very tasty. The portion was generous and was served with a large side of basmati and saffron rice. Of course we had to share an order of baklava and they were very good. They were rolled up to look like pretty little flowers. I would like to dine in at this place on my next visit.

Reading some of the poor reviews, i wonder if they know the meaning of «fine» dining? perhaps they would better at a diner, or a burger king. that being said the food was impeccable. I enjoyed the many different flavors of the dishes I had. Starting with the appetizer Kashk-e-Bademjan, and Hummus. Both outstanding! I had a Shirazi Salad, and Gourmeh Sabzi, which was delicous so many flavors and a hint of lime. My friend had Grilled Fresh Vegetables, which were also very good. For dessert we had Persian Ice Cream and Baklava. The service was welcoming, and prices were just right. I will be coming back for more.

High expectations, left feeling disappointed. The food was average… but the service seemed a bit snob-ish. They gave us a hard time for not making reservations YET at 7:30 there was only 1 table occupied. I was tempted to leave but since we were there with another couple we stayed… regrettably. We started with: Salad-e-Olivieh– potato salad with chopped chicken breast, Persian pickles, peas, and eggs — it wasn’t all that great… bland actually. As an entrée I ordered the Chicken Kabob — Succulent boneless chicken breast marinated in our special seasoning… for $ 17 bucks the portion size was equivalent to a childs size… disappointing. The service wasn’t good as well. When we asked for an explanation of certain items we were given a bit of an attitude and begrudgingly given info… Prices are high but it’s a BYOB in Morristown so it’s expected. Skip this place… better options in Morristown…

Had a perfect lunch at Marjan today, eating at one of the 2 outside deuces on a gorgeous day(low 80s, low humidity). I started with their Shirazi Salad, of diced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and the Persian version of feta cheese, drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice, which came with a large warm flatbread. Simple, but executed perfectly. My wife had the chicken salad, which included a chicken kabob over lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and olives. The kabobs were wonderfully flavored with saffron and other spices and seemed like a cross between Greek and an Indian curry. For my entrée, I had the Kabob-e-Kubideh, consisting of two skewers of freshly ground sirloin mixed beef and lamb, seasoned and grilled to perfection. The skewers were accompanied by delectably light and flavorful basmati/saffron rice and a delicious grilled tomato. Again, simple, but executed perfectly. Service was great and the price was right — only $ 35. Can’t wait to go back.

An excellent gastronomic journey into old Persia! 2 people ordered a house combination and a side of green salad. The house combo(39.95) had chicken, lamb and beef kabobs along with saffron rice, grilled tomatoes and parsley garnish and some lime. The green salad(6.95) was a very nice combination of mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, shredded carrots, bell peppers. We asked for bread which arrived half way through our meal and turned out to be whole wheat tortilla warmed up — not exactly Persian, ok, so it wasn’t perfect but close enough. It was in poor taste to charge for this bread. But this trespass is forgiven. My dinner companion ordered Persian hot tea which was nicely flavored. All in all an excellent meal, the service could have been a tad better. But credit goes to them for working out what I could and could not eat when I pointed out allergy to Sumac.

I had been stuck in traffic all morning and didn’t get lunch until 2:30 after my meeting. I was so happy the kitchen would serve either menu. The service was great even though I was the only one in the restaurant. The Babahganoush was outstanding with little pools of black garlic to swirl in. My kebab wrap was delicious; the yogurt sauce augmented perfectly. I’ll certainly go back!

So happy I got to try this place. For Persian food I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I didn’t know if it would be like Turkish/Greek or similar to Moroccan cuisine. In any case it was closer to Turkish but the seasoning is different. If you’re someone who isn’t big on bold favor this may not be your place. Let’s start with the restaurant: it’s a very cozy place. Not too big and not a hole in the wall. They offered outside seating. Tables were pretty normal, they do put a tiny plant on each table tho. I feel like that’s a tradition of some sort. For food which I thought was rather enjoyable, we started off with an eggplant dip. Very interesting flavor. Nothing like baba ganoush. It was more bold in flavor and def has some cumin in it. It can with a huge naan like bread, super fresh & super delicious. My friend and I decided to go with two of the combination entrees so we can try different things. We got one Kabob-e Sultani which included a habob-e-barg(filet marinated in their special seasoning) and kabob-e-kubideh(ground beef with lamb kofta type). This was a great selection. The meets were all well prepared and very well seasoned. The Kabob-e-Kubideh was my favorite. It was very similar to kofta but you can taste the lamb. Our second entrée was Kabob-e-Bakhtiyary which was filet mignon and chicken kabob marinated in special seasoning. This was a safer choice I would say. Basically grilled meats with some awesome veggies. Overall this was a pretty good experience. I’m not sure I would ever crave the food here or if I would feel the need to come back. Def not an out of the world experience nor a bad experience.

It is a very exotic restaurant. Dinning here is like you are actually traveling to Persia. We ordered kabob and khoresht with basmati rice. they are OK. The dessert called bakalava has a very special flavor but really enticing and tasty. Their home made lentil soup and bread are absolutely exceptional. The waiter is also nice and attentive. Just like Indian food, Persian food will only taste and smell great to the person actually eating it. Don’t bring their food home, which was something I did, and my refrigerator was full of bad odor…

Decent little BYOB Persian spot. I’d probably go more for a 3.5, but it’s closer to a 3 than a 4. Anyway, staff was very nice and good was decent. I had the Kabob-e-Kubideh at the recommendation of the waitress. It had a nice flavor but wasn’t spicy enough for my palate. They brought out two spicy sauces that were just meh. That’s ok, not everything is meant to be spicy. My main concern was the toughness and dryness of the meat. I think it could’ve better been prepared. You tell them how you want it cooked, but I think they err on the side of overdone, so keep that in mind. I would be happy to return here.
