I just called to first see it it’s closed as reported by Unilocal.Nope it’s still open! Secondly, I wanted to see if their prime rib would be served tonight. The hostess tersely says the chef decides between brunch and dinner. Feeling like I should spend my money elsewhere as the new restaurants are happy to have a customer ask. We know all the names at Market, but whoever answered the phone doesn’t get it.

I came here a few times for my sister’s birthday brunch(12 people) in our party. I gotta say, great food. You get a complimentary mimosa… after that is $ 2. You can’t go wrong with that place. I got the French toast which has raspberry sauce on top. it was amazing. The pink lemonade cocktail was good, but it has a sweet taste.

Ordered the Duck Hash(served under 2 poached eggs and hollandaise sauce) for brunch and a side of(cheddar) grits. The food was outstanding. Service was only decent, but the restaurant décor was appealing and the ambiance pleasant. Would love to sit outdoors next time!

Excellent food. It’s definitely one of the best brunch places in the area. I consider myself a bit of an eggs benedict connoisseur and this was the best I’ve ever had. Now I want brunch…

The food was average, at best. Most any restaurant in downtown Morristown provides a better value. This did a provide a truly unique experience for the area; rude service peppered with the occasional condescending comments. We went a group of five for brunch and asked if could sit outside and the hostess said«no». Little further explanation other than maybe we wouldn’t fit. Another milling hostess type person was quick to ask if we wanted to sit at the bar, which was closed and there no lights on. However there was nobody in the entire place so five people outside could not possibly kill the atmosphere. During ordering, one guest asked if a plate could come with the sauce on the side and the waiter said«No». Followup guest question, since the waiter offered no followup to his verbose response, was whether it could come with no sauce and he was okay with that. We were baffled why a meal could come with no sauce, but not sauce on the side. We also order a «home made muffin» which looked like the discount muffin from Dunkin that was a few hours old. The waiter kindly asked if the guest wanted it with the meal or during and it was ordered during. It came about 10 minutes before the food. If you’re going to ask, deliver on the order, or don’t bother asking. Free first drink during brunch is a nice idea. The food quality was average, and I would say was prepared by someone with moderate experience and no ‘flare’ or education in how to prepare a nice meal. Contrasting to end of elm in Morristown(simile price point) would put this joint well in last place. I will never return and would prefer to roll the dice with any new place that opens in downtown Morristown or Basking Ridge sight unseen. I hope this place closes so a a new restaurant can open in this nice building. Overall staff vibe is condescending, short and useless.

Stopped for lunch on a weekday. Very cool interior, nice bar and outside porch area. I ordered fish tacos with a side salad $ 12…very tasty and typical price for this area. I will definitely be back for happy hour and dinner. Also, important to note… the fries, while ordinary shoestrings, were exceptionally crispy… definitely worth ordering.

Was in town for a wedding and used Unilocal to find a nice place for lunch near our hotel. This place was just wonderful. The food was really delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and service was pleasant. I had the crab cake sandwich and thought it was near-perfect! If there would have been time, we would have gone back again to try more things because I suspect everything is great. Too bad I don’t get out to NJ more often :)

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! Have not enjoyed a meal out with this level of professional attention to detail in some time. Excellent brunch!

Went there for brunch, food was excellent! Service was not great, took the 10 min to get a broken high chair no front bar, second one had a broken strap buckle. 3rd time was a charm. Very loud could not carry on a conversation, it was also very hot, need to get the AC unit fixed or turn it on sooner. If your serving people outside close the door, keep the AC going on when it’s 86 degrees outside. Decent beer selection, again the food was great.

Two of us arrived for Brunch at 1pm. After being seated immediately we were greeted with a free Mimosa. How bad could that be? The noise however, ruined the meal for us. Hard wood surfaces bounced the sound off everywhere. Food, with ear plugs, would be very well sized and delicious. I had the slightly overdone French Toast that was still soft and tasty in the center. My guest enjoyed a vegetarian offering and took loads home for dinner. Unfortunately, we would not choose to return until some work is done on adjusting the sound levels. Hearing each other is a must.

Nice food and friendly service. The French toast was very nice but more like a pie/dessert — good to share since it was quite sweet and too much for one person. The Frittata with potatoes and smoked Gouda was delicious and light surprisingly! Servers were very nice and pleasant. Place was incredibly busy so had to wait 10 minutes for our table even though reserved it. Not a problem because my daughter was celebrating a birthday brunch in another area of the restaurant so we had time.

I have been here a few times for brunch. The food is great, so is the complimentary mimosa! I thought it stopped there, but the fact that the mimosas are then $ 1 each after that can turn your Sunday funday to dangerously drunk quickly. I always get the duck hash. It is so incredibly good and everyone I’ve ever been with has gotten it and loved it too. My biggest issue here is the service. This past time that I came for brunch we waited at least 10 minutes to be greeted at our table. From there we were continuously asking for anything that we needed. I worked in the service industry for 4 years so I know not to be needy, but I felt we were kind of being neglected. They get all of their stars for brunch food.

I would give this place 2.5 stars(not sure why Unilocal doesn’t have a half star option yet lol). Bread is just ok, the shrimp cocktail was great. the mussels were great. the main entrée I got which was ribs over risotto was very average. Did not have the wow factor and it was too saucy. For an upscale place & price I think it should have been better. Servers were prompt & friendly though. The place was very noisy so not good if you are looking for comfort or something more cozy/intimate.

Came here for brunch as part of a group of 11 people. We didn’t have a reservation but we were seated quickly at 11:30, which I didn’t expect. Our drink orders were taken quickly and brought out right away. My friend told us that you get a complimentary mimosa with your brunch order, and every mimosa after that is $ 1, so we took advantage of that. Coffee and tea are also included in your order. The coffee was excellent, as were the mimosas. As for food, we ordered as a group the croque mousier, huevos rancheros, duck hash, eggs benedict, johnny cakes, and skillet french toast. The only complaint anyone had in regards to the food was that the huevos rancheros weren’t described accurately… there were black beans instead of refried beans, and my friend had to ask for sour cream. I had the skillet french toast and thought it was delicious… it was doughy and the fruit compote was the perfect touch. I do wish they offered real maple syrup, but I didn’t ask so maybe it is available. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly and took care of our group. I’d definitely come back.

As a local, I try to patronize local establishments. However, every time my friend and I decide to have a drink and bite to eat at the bar the bartender is very unsocial and often rushes you because it’s 9:30 and she wants to go home! This bar could be so much more!

Had a nice little brunch on the porch this morning. My omelette was perfect, I’ve never had fluffier eggs in my life. The boyfriend enjoyed his steak and eggs. Totally priced right. Everything was unbelievably fresh. Staff was super accommodating and friendly. I think we’ll be skipping Morristown and heading over here from now on!

The first time I came here was for my sister’s birthday with some family and friends. We all got brunch that included free first mimosas and if you decide to order another one is a $ 1. You can’t beat that price. I ordered the french toast and it was delish. Now it’s been my go to. The service was great! There’s also reservations you can make. I’ve been there twice and it’s always busy.

A group of my friends and I came here for brunch to celebrate my birthday. I have to say that I really enjoyed Market ! Our group was relatively large(12 people) but we did not encounter any issues that often comes with dining with a large party. Some of our group showed up a little earlier than our reservation so we headed over to the bar to grab a morning cocktail. The pink lemonade cocktail was very tasty but a little too sweet. Some friends ordered Bloody Mary’s and they were average. After only a short while, we got to our table and perused the brunch menu. I decided on the crab cake benedict, as did a few other people at the table, and was very happy with my choice ! I ate every last bite! I also tried the French toast and that was also incredible. Market also provides a complimentary Mimosa with each brunch order. This was not posted anywhere on the menu but I heard from a friend who has been there for brunch so make sure you ask to get yours ! Every Mimosa after that is only $ 1 so you can’t go wrong ! Our server was great. He was quick and efficient. Since we were a large party and all ordering the Mimosas, he had to keep coming back to our table for refills. He looked calm and collected. Not at all overwhelmed which I’m sure many servers would be when they are brining 12 drinks at a time to the table. Kudos to him ! All in all, Market was a great place for brunch. They have an outdoor eating area so I most definitely plan to head there again on a nice day to enjoy breakfast on the huge porch.

Lunch at Market is surprisingly affordable, salads and sandwiches are 8 – 12 but the service is, uh, relaxed so you’ll be here a while. No idea what the name’s supposed to mean, don’t see much evidence of farm-to-table cooking here, unless you consider grilled cheese or falafel to be New Jersey farm food LOL! Pretty common middle-of-the-road American fare with burgers, wraps, fried fish and Cobb salad. At lunch a huge plate of mussels in a deeply aromatic white wine, garlic and butter sauce came with a generous side of fresh hot thin french fries, cheap at $ 10. I see others have called out those same mussels for the dreaded food poisoning. uh. I’ll update this review as needed :) The po boy wrap was a large piece of fried cod, sliced hard boiled egg, tomato and lettuce all in a flour tortilla but surprisingly stingy on the mayo, just need a bit more to bind it all together. Grilled cheese and tomato bisque(guess they can charge more for«bisque» than for«soup» :) brought a huge bowl but a sandwich kinda thin on the old cheese. A falafel«burger» was an overwhelming slab of deeply fried dough, beware the shredded carrots inside. Our server was friendly and the kitchen cranked out our food pretty quickly, but I feel that’s required at lunch, especially because there were fewer than 10 tables at lunch and it’s a big place. Service not really on the ball tho, my dining companion’s falafel arrived with a whole lotta carrot inside even tho he directly and clearly said *no* carrots cos he was sorta interested in living a little while longer. they replaced his food after a longish wait. Happened to notice that happy hour is 4 – 7, no crafts on draft but it’s not all coors light, I spotted Goose Island IPA, Brooklyn, Stella Artois.
