Pancakes make people happy! Yummy brunch spot. Worth the trip.

I just love this place; plenty of vegan options. The kitchen makes tofu products taste good. Lots of excellent other breakfast choices, including freshly squeezed OJ. The lunch manu is pretty compressive as well. Coffee is good. Service is friendly, engaging and trying very hard to satisfy customers. Ambience is a notch above a typical Pancake House/Diner. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. Plan ahead! This restaurant gets very busy. I say that is a reflection of it’s quality.

This place was a good place for breakfast. I was with a group of 10 hungry people who were away on business and it didn’t disappoint. The food was good, the service was good. The wait was long, but once we were there it was like meh well just wait. The only thing in*will* complain about is, It was a REALLYCOLDDAY and the waiting area was freezing, and the front door doesn’t close automatically and one of the guys I was with kept getting up to close the door because it was SOCOLD.

This place is a good breakfast choice if you are in town, with both good and not so great points to our breakfast. My kids did have the pancakes and waffles and they were very good, I must say. They loved it. Our server was also super nice and accommodating with a great personality. However, I had an omelette and found it to be just OK and the potatoes it was served with not so great. My wife felt the same way about her Benedict. I did not say anything since we were in a hurry and I did not want to wait for another plate. Maybe they were having an off day, maybe not. However, this place does open at 7am and I would be back for sure.

The rodeo was amazing. Food was fast fresh and most importantly the pancakes were delicious. Definitely worth stopping in.

CROWDED. If you are claustrophobic or don’t like crowds this isn’t the spot for you. 20min wait minimum. Unfortunately we got the closest table to the entrance and like many establishments, every time the front door opened a blast of icy air rushed in. We were pretty cold most of the time. Service was good, the waitress was prompt. Food was good, I kinda wish I’d tried something more savory and less sweet. It is true that the french toast is a little wet inside. Prices weren’t too bad. I Maybe would try again at a less«prime time» than Sunday brunch.

Very bad service. We were seated at the table for more than 10 minutes and we were not even offered water. It was not that the servers were not around. The place was not busy either. Really bad.

My son and I had a pleasant breakfast at the Morristown Pancake House. I had fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, and the Wrangler Skillet — bacon, spinach, peppers, onions, roasted potatoes, and scrambled eggs. It was a very large plate of food that I couldn’t finish… and quite tasty. My son had his usual — sunny side up with bacon, potatoes, and toast Wolfed it down as usual. Service was very good on a busy Saturday morning. Definitely would recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised. I thought this would be a glorified IHOP, however it was much better. We had to wait for 15 minutes, but it was Sunday morning and it was expected. The service was great, and the food was even better. I had the egg benedict florentine, which was excellent. A perfect amount of hollandaise and a perfect amount of spinach, and it was not soggy. My boyfriend had the bleu cheese burger. It was not over cooked and it was very flavorful. Another great dish was the american french toast. They ran out of that, but substituted one piece with the limon one, which was excellent, as per our friends. Next time, I will order this. Also, the challah french toast was great and the strawberries on top were extremely fresh. All of the food was some of the best we’ve had in this area. I don’t love breakfast/brunch food usually, but this was on par. The service was good too. Our waiter was super nice and patient with us. Our food was brought out promptly. He was very knowledgable about the menu, and guided us in the right direction. We will come back here very soon. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to this location and the one in Rutherford. Pretty trendy ambience considering I think of old-fashioned, out-dated décor when I hear the words«pancake house».(Although the color blue is psychologically an appetite suppressant) I came on a weekday morning so I was sat immediately. I ordered the Mexicali omelet both times I’ve come. It was a fiesta in my mouth and very cheesy. Yum! The home fries with peppers and onions are delish too. I’ve had a short stack from here too, with pecans cooked inside. Not sure if they weren’t accustomed to this method of making them or their pancakes just suck, but mine were rubbery. I know it’s cliché, but I like IHOP’s pancakes– fluffy and slighty soggy from the melted butter. My fiancé had the Chicken Carumba sandwich and didn’t like it too much. I agreed, I think it was the chipotle sauce that wasn’t too appetizing. Overall I’d come back again for the omelets and free wifi.

This place was great. Food was all very good, service was friendly and the décor is cute. We also felt like the prices were solid for the location. Brunch for four for like $ 45 bucks. I would go back for sure.

3.8÷4 stars. Was super excited when I learned there was a Pancake House that served Gluten Free AND Vegan pancakes, waffles and French toast! Better yet, they serve«normal» versions too so everyone can enjoy together! How did I not know about this sooner? Called ahead and although it was very crowded once I arrived(11:30 on a Sunday), my party of 5 was seated in under 10 minutes! The server was very nice and the service was pretty quick. Loved all the signs around too– warm décor. I had some coffee with almond milk(yay) to start. For my breakfast I ordered the special Blueberry Limon pancakes– in the GF and Vegan style. The pancakes were a little rubbery and overly lemony, but at the same time the best I’ve had at a «normal» joint for GF& Vegan. I’m definitely coming back to try other pancake varieties, waffles and French toast though! Others in my party ordered Daddy-O, Chocolate Chip Pancakes(regular and kiddie) & Taylor Ham & Cheese. The real maple syrup was tasty, although I didn’t compare it to the regular. The home fries were delicious– not overly fried at all. Everyone was satisfied and the bill was not steep at all.

Read about this place on Unilocal and thought it would be nice to bring family here on Sunday. I arrived around 1130am, restaurant was busy, gave my name and request for 5. We waited for over 1hr for a table to open meanwhile plenty of «tables for two» and parties of 6 were being seated ahead of us. Went to check on table with host who appeared flustered and confused when I asked how much longer the wait was going to be. Each time giving me some excuse about how busy they were. Finally after my entire party becoming hangry, we were seated. Our server was much better, promptly taking our order, bringing out drinks and refilling them. The food was delicious however not sure if that was because we were hangry or if it indeed was that good. Would I go back? Sure however after 30min of waiting, I will make sure to walk out and go to surrounding places instead.

Returning to central NJ as a vegan can be a challenge, especially for a warm and fuzzy brunch experience. Morristown Pancake House popped up and we were instantly impressed by how many clearly labeled vegan options they listed on their menu. Not only pancakes, waffles, and French toast, but vegan options for nachos, quesadillas, chili, and breakfast skillets. We ordered the cream cheese stuffed French toast with strawberries and chocolate chips and the nachos, all vegan. Along with a side of vegan sausages. First off, our waiter Tony was accommodating and knowledgeable, and went as far as to assure us that their vegan food is cooked separately. Much appreciated. The food? I’m trying not to gush too hard but I can honestly say that we had one of the best brunch experiences as vegans we have ever had. I am still fantasizing about my next visit. We might have to make a tradition out of Morristown Pancake House.

I would like to start by saying that I was in the Morristown area and found this breakfast establishment on Unilocal. The reviews were decent so my boyfriend and I decided to try it. We entered around 830am and the place was pretty empty. We were seated immediately and our waitress was pleasant. Not overly personable, but pleasant. The atmosphere was adorable and the coffee and cappuccino were delicious. While we were waiting for our food, more people began to enter and by the time we left the place was pretty full. The staff maintained composure, were still very friendly, and seemed to handle the rush very well. Kudos. My boyfriend ordered the Rodeo Skillet and while we were both surprised it wasn’t actually in a skillet, it was delicious! I ordered the hazelnut– chocolate waffles with strawberries special. I thought the batter could have used a bit of salt to liven up the flavors, however it was still quite good. Mid-way through the meal, a friend mentioned we should try the red velvet pancakes, so we ordered a stack of them as well(we took 2 of the 4 home). Despite the rush of people, our pancakes came out quickly and were quite good. They were thick and fluffy. Overall, the food was 4⁄5. My problem with this establishment is not the food or the service. My problem centered around the way the staff handled a group(8?) that had sat to our right. They had come in midway through our breakfast and proceeded to have a VERY loud conference call. «Phil» was probably a very nice man, however I did not want to hear his entire(loud– speakerphone) conversation with Bill, Nancy, etc. Phil actually asked what was for breakfast and Nancy responded that they hadn’t ordered«because they didn’t want to be rude.» Irony… Maybe this is a normal occurance in Morristown, but I didnt like that the staff said nothing. I have no problem spending the money on an enjoyable breakfast, but I would have bought my $ 36 breakfast elsewhere had I known I was going to have breakfast with Phil. In fact, my boyfriend and I would have stayed for another $ 4 cup of cappuccino(which again, was delicious) if these people weren’t so loud and rude. On a side note, Kudos to the Seeing Eye dogs(all tenish of them) who sat nicely with their trainers. They saved my mood.

Sunday brunch is our favorite eat-out adventure. Usually, we go to NYC but this Mo’Town eatery has been our list for a while, do we dragged our friends out for a meal. First, there was about a 15 minute wait for a table so factor that into your time line. Next, our server, Bryan, was energetic, helpful and professional. We all, despite the pancake brand name, ordered eggs! I had the Rodeo omelet and it rocked. Spiced but not overly so. I ate every bite. Our server offered us the chance to swap out the toast for a short stack of pancakes and that was a great idea. We added real maple syrup for an extra two bucks — well worth it, imho. Everyone else reported their meal was good and made yummy noises. My wife had the garden omelet — mushrooms, peppers, onions with a side of potatoes. She said she would definitely order it again. The two beverage highlights were the bottom-less cup of excellent coffee and the better than Florida fresh squeezed OJ. I could have had a gallon of both. Despite the crowd, we were not rushed by the waiter — very respectful. The bill was, with generous tip, $ 80. About half of what a similar meal would be in The City. Not cheap but a fair value. Recommended.

Definitely filled an open need in Morristown, but still a few kinks to work out. MPH is in the old Tomato Pie location(we were disappointed this didn’t make it as it reminded us of our favorite«Trenton style» pizza, but I digress). Open only until 3PM, but with breakfast available the entire time. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, seated quickly and met an equally friendly waitress. There were some specials on a chalkboard at the front of house and these were repeated for us by our server, who reminded us of our most recent bing-watched show, The Leftovers, because she promptly«departed». Things were quickly righted, however, when we asked«Irene», in between water-pours, if she could help us. Irene took over entirely and service was crisp from this point forward(except that the departed waitress did return but awkwardly avoided eye contact with us both, even though we had smiles on our faces and no visible weapons at the tables). The menu is fairly standard, but has some creativity as well. There are variations on eggs benedict(in our case, with chili!); good veggie and vegan options; and gluten free waffles and bread! We asked for our omelets to be «light»(«soft» in their parlance… tough thing for a guy to utter in front of his wife) and they were; we asked for crisp bacon and we hit 70db breaking the pieces. The gluten free toast my wife ordered was tasty, but one piece was burnt and one piece under-done. I liked the fresh squeezed OJ. The pork roll was thin and had nice grill-marked flavor, but I take umbrage at calling it «Taylor Ham» in the middle of New Jersey, where we like our pork rolled. We will definitely return. Not so much to see if the servers depart, but to enjoy properly cooked eggs and teach them to roll the pork.

What a great place! The menu was extensive and delicious looking. I had a hard time choosing between Nutella stuffed French toast and eggs Benedict… But I went with the eggs Benedict. And it was super. The portion size was very big and the breakfast potatoes were flavorful and cooked just right. I sat and caught up with a friend for quite some time while eating breakfast and the servers and staff were all very pleasant and helpful. If I’m in town again, I’ll definitely be back!

Nice homey restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Service was relatively fast and restaurant seemed to be patronized by lots of younger people and families. Ordered the Daddy-O A Combo with all Bacon. Pancakes were ok but were super filling and I could not finish them. Home Fries and Eggs were good, Bacon was ok. My friends French toast looked amazing with eight pieces being served and I will be returning to try those. Just a nice simple place for breakfast.

Pancakes for lunch? Not for me thanks, happily there are plenty of other choices. The Pancake House feels like a diner inside but doesn’t have the ridiculous 100-page menu of the typical Jersey diner lol, it’s rather focused on pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, salads and burgers. Good service and a fast kitchen, seriously there are *bunch* of people in black T-shirts running around. My dining companion ordered the two-egg plate plus bacon, $ 8 for a large meal with all the above plus wonderful rosemary hash brown potatoes and toast too. That struck me as an eminently reasonable price. I must rant about the PH’s huevos rancheros, a disappointment. I expected corn tortillas slathered in refried beans, easy over eggs and deeply flavorful red or green(ideally both!) chili-pepper sauce, plus maybe some rice. Here? They brought out the corn tortillas on the side, seriously on the side, see pic, and of chili sauce there was no sign at all, argh. So I made breakfast soft tacos with the heavily grilled chorizo sausage, black beans, eggs and pico de gallo. Enjoyed the rosemary hash browns too but boy did they not fit in with my notion of mexican food. Ah well. You’ve been warned. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars, of course there’s pancakes, eggs and a garden gathering omelet, but also vegan salads, vegan nachos, veggie burger, vegan chili, veggie quesadilla, pita veg melt, grilled cheese sammiches, egg salad and a Greek salad wrap. You might not think of a diner as veggie mecca but they’re really making serious effort here. BYO champagne! Uh I mean cheap sparkling wine of course :), they’ll bring out a huge bottle of fresh squeezed orange juice plus the tall thin wine glasses so you can do brunch Properly. Family friendly, lots of little kids here, yet surprisingly modest noise level, conversation encouraged.
