The ideal waiting room for the Iron Bar next door. Drinks are very expensive and the place is very loud. Menu has nothing special. Just yet another bar with nothing special to offer. It would be nice to have a bar menu with a real selection and for drink prices to be more reasonable.. Morristown is not Manhattan why does this place think it is? Overall Iron Bar next door is a better value.

Security guards are on a power trip here. Watered down drinks. Rude bartenders. And everyone has a «you’re voice is too small to matter vibe, your bad experience wont stop us from staying business»

This place is absolutely terrible. It only fills up on Saturday nights when people don’t feel like waiting on line at Iron Bar. Terrible music, terrible food, terrible service. Save yourself a trip.

I’m rating this place solely on my dining experiences — I’ve eaten here quite a few times over the past year, usually to catch a game on TV on a Sunday or happy hour menu after work and the food honestly is never very good(I’ve had a salad, a burger, the sliders and the nachos before) What continues to draw me in are the open walls in the front that give an open air feel inside and the beer selection. I like that I can order a $ 2PBR or a Carton Boat from the same bar. While the food is not great this is still my favorite in-town smelly sports bar for football Sunday.

COMEDOWNHAVE A DRINKWITHPEOPLEWHOAREMISERABLE and DISLIKETHEMSELVES. I came here on 5÷27÷2016 at around 10:00pm I was having a drink and this random dude attempted to assault me because he was drunk. I have to say I will reconsider my options. I am happy I did not get hurt.

I have been coming to this bar for years and I could not believe how I was treated tonight. The security guard would not allow half of the group of people I was with into the bar, and it was the first stop of the night so we were not at all intoxicated. He then told me to «go f*ck myself» and put his hands on my friend and pushed her away from the line. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior and I will guarantee that you will never receive my business again.

Came here for lunch today, hardly anyone was in the establishment. We put our order in and 45 mins later still didn’t have our food. I had to get back to work so I asked for mine to go. While paying I noticed the ticket said chicken sand rather than chicken lettuce wrap so I questioned the server. He assured me it was for the chicken lettuce wrap(I should have known better). I took my food which took another 10 mins to come and and went back to my office. Low and behold when I opened the to go container there was a chicken wrap and fries. Ugh so disappointed and the wrap wasn’t something I would ever order so I didn’t even enjoy it. Horrible service and cook.

Not a fan of the crowd here. It was once described to me as «hell on earth» by a bartender at another local bar. I went against my better judgement with some friends and I’ll never go back. Service was slow, crowd was obnoxious and beer selection leaves a lot to be desired. I’ll stick to other places for their beer and people.

This place used to be my favorite morristown bar. They have much more reasonable lines, especially compared to iron bar on the weekends, so if you get to iron bar around 1030 and later, its a much better idea to just go to sona thirteen. The lines for drinks are also decent, but the reason i liked this bar was that it played less edm and more hip hop than iron bar and grasshopper. With that said, this bar really sucks if you enjoy dancing. I have been kicked out a few times because the bouncers mistake me dancing and having fun with me being some sort of problem, lol. It is really because no one actually dances, they just stand aroud with a beer in their hands the whole time, so if you actually dance a) other dudes start mocking you and try to get in your face(really bizarre) and then b) the bouncers realize that its more profitable to satisfy the dudes w their friends who are buying all the drinks. Too many haters, just go to iron bar where they let ya dance(even if the music sucks).

I don’t know what happened to this place. It used to be so much fun, my girlfriends and I really loved the laid back atmosphere and good music. Everyone would dance and have a good time. The music is still okay but the last couple times we went they had tvs on by the«dance floor». It was so bright and distracting that everyone was just standing around watching tv, talk about boring. The bartenders are the most horrendous thing. It took me forever to get drinks and when I did they were completely watered down. I had to send them back which required me to waste another ten minutes trying to get her attention. She was much too busy flirting with guys and talking to her friends. That’s the first time I didn’t bother to tip.

Hey so fuck the bouncers here. Went here for my 22nd birthday, went in with a group of 5, and another friend was meeting us. My friend called to say she was here, so I went out to meet here. I was immediately greeted by the bouncer shouting«in or out in or out» while I tried explain my friend was meeting my group, until I eventually said fine, I’m out and got back in the line of literally THREEOTHERPEOPLE with my friend to get back in. I was told, verbatim«you were being a bitch, we don’t let annoying bitches in.» Mind you this is after I had already been inside and bought drinks in this establishment. So basically fuck this place. I instead went to iron bar next door which was way more fun, and much more worth my time. The bouncer there wished me a happy birthday and gave me no trouble and they had my business for the rest of the night.

It’s average. Nice atmosphere and I have and good food here and not so good. Beer selection is okay. Mostly young people late nights-typical Morristown bar. Better and worse places in town. Stick to the burgers as I got a salad here before with shrimp and there was so much water at the bottom of the plate like they didn’t drain the water after washing.

The bartenders were super friendly here. They all had smiles on their faces and willing to serve us. That alone is a great experience. During happy hour, they had some wine, beer, and martini specials, but no well drink specials(wah, wah) Their drinks are a bit pricey. I tried my friend’s fried pickles and they were really good. A bit too bready for me, but i feel like they were fresh cut pickles underneath it all. We all enjoyed them!

I went to Sona last night with my boyfriend and our friends to celebrate the ending of my summer internship and to celebrate beginnings of my new internship in the fall along with our friend’s as well. Ok, the ORIGINAL plan was to go to Iron Bar and celebrate but the line was too long. I don’t wait to get into clubs, the club waits for me to go in. We went into Sona since there was no line and the place seemed nice! It had a nice hip vibe to it with a good DJ playing(you can’t find good DJs nowadays). He was playing Top 40 hits and 90 — mid 2000’s hip hop which I LOVE so I was having a blast dancing all over the place. My main complaint from that night though would be my drinks. I was on the first level and I went to one of the bars and ordered an LIT and a Rum and Coke. Here’s the thing. I love to drink. A lot. So when I get mixed a drink that has soda with like a splash of rum or an LIT with an over-usage of sour mix, I won’t be too happy with it. BUT I don’t waste drinks because that’s alcohol abuse so I gladly downed those too. HOWEVER I went to the bar in the basement and ordered another Rum and Coke(I wasn’t driving). This drink was quite the opposite experience I had upstairs because it was 99% rum and 1% coke. I honestly couldn’t finish it because my throat was burning. Apart from the drink, I overall didn’t mind Sona! It’s not a bad vibe or anything, it’s just not something I’m going to always go to. Oh and a small fight happened when I was there so that was cute.

Average food. Average service. Good place to hang with your buds and have a few drinks. Loud, lively crowd, mostly 20 and 30 somethings. Not good for a romantic dinner or quiet conversation. We ordered fried calamari for an appetizer. Lightly breaded and seasoned and cooked just right. It was served with a sweet asian sauce on it with marinara on the side. So, if you wanted to dip it in the marinara it already had asian sauce on it and it was a little off putting. There were four of us. Two had the Sona Angus burger. Tasty, juicy and cooked to order. Another had the Grilled Cheese with Pork Belly. Gooey and rich. All three were served with soggy fries. Not at all crispy. The fourth had the Caesar Wedge salad. Crisp and fresh, just what you’d expect.

I came here for happy hour on Sunday: $ 3 Coors Light Bottles/Miller light drafts, $ 6 Sangria/Margarita. Sat at an outside table on a beautiful day. Ordered white sangria and it came out quickly. It was a very good tasting sangria! Our waiter and bar tender were very nice asking us how the drinks were. Overall, it was a good experience drinking and hanging out outside. I would be come back for happy hour drinks next time I’m in the area.

Food meh — wings, one order came out cold so even at $.50/each not that great of a deal if you have to send them back to be warmed up. Mac ‘n cheese(ordered w/o the bacon as I’m a pescatarian) was bland beyond belief, as though salt was not a staple in their kitchen. Calamari was coated in some sort of sweet crunchy stuff that was almost cloyingly sweet, kind of like eating fish wrapped in candy. Maybe if the sauce that was served on the side was spicy it might counteract some of the sweet, but it’s just regular marinara sauce. Drinks are cold, but given that you have to wait 10 – 20 minutes in between rounds & then after asking the waitress twice, she says«oh sorry, I forgot about your order», you may not get to taste too many of them. The crowd — loud, young for the most part, & all about getting their drink on. Not a bad thing, but as the food & service don’t live up to it, there are many other places in the same area that I’m sure could do better.

I’ve been here for lunch on three occasions. First to catch the US v Germany World Cup match, and then for two regular lunches. Great pub, with decent grub. I love the meatloaf sandwich, as well as the beer battered onion rings. Great service. Not uncommon to see a $ 6 burger, lunch special. The burgers are great, too. I typically park in the multi-story garage behind the place. Several big screens with sports programming. Standing tables to facilitate congregating, carousing, and contemplating the latest event on the screen.
