Great bar on weekends. I am usually in town every two weeks and I love spending time with my friends at Iron bar on friday and saturday nights

My friends and I always have a great time here. We don’t come very often, maybe once a month or so. It’s our girls night out. The drinks are always great and it’s nice to usually see the same bartenders every time we go. One time I lost my phone there and assumed someone stole it, but they found it and got it right back to me. I don’t think it would have been returned in other Morristown bars. That good impression really stuck with me and I appreciate their quality. The only two things I don’t like is how bright it is upstairs and that there is no coat check. I prefer the music upstairs but find it sort of an awkward spot to dance. Downstairs definitely has more of club feel. Overall it’s definitely a fun spot Thursday Friday or Saturday, just get there early to avoid long lines!

I came Saturday around 5pm and it was pretty empty. Alexis was our waitress and she immediately greeted us. We had a few drinks and an appetizer. They have a great menu and good food decently priced. The service was 10 stars. Will come back. Great atmosphere and big tvs

Service was good. Veggie burger was wierd. Fries were crispy. Drinks were strong. Came here on a Sunday and every game was on TV with lots of loud dudes yelling. All in all, average experience.

I got a Heineken at the bar the bartender never came back with my change after 15 minute I asked her for it she then told me that she gave it to me when I was at the bar waiting the whole time and started to fight me about it after she asked every person behind the bar Not a big deal just wish she wasn’t so rude then at 1 o’clock you can’t smoke or go outside again not that big of a deal but after writing this post the owner found me forced me out and had the bouncers and cop mess with me and my friends normally if you give a place a bad review they try to make things better by offering something not this place they’ll throw you out and put there hands all over you

Well seems like I had some of the same experiences other people had with the bouncers. I was there on 11÷28÷15 sitting at the bar with my boyfriend talking for a good hour only had 2 drinks. Then all of a sudden some young kid around 915ish came uo behind me and said I’m taking your chair. I’m all confused like why is some young kid trying to take my chair. I said no I’m sitting her please move along. Then I see the bartender behind the bar smile at him and as I turn around the guy is giving her a weird smile. Then proceeds to tell me no I’m taking your chair get up. So me being 30 years old figured oh this is some punk kid who is trying to act cool in front of his friends. So I said no your not taking my chair leave me alone or I’ll punch u in the throat.(Yes I said that bc the guy was rude and persistent). Well big Mistake all of a sudden u can see his shirt now under his zip up saying iron bar starts screaming at another bouncer and next thing u know we’re getting kicked out. And on my way out I got called every profanity in the book a female should never be called ever. If I knew that«kid» bouncer worked there and he mentioned hey its getting to the packed hours I need to remove your chairs please yes I would of complied but never once did he mention he work there and never once was polite he was just acting like some kid who thought he was cool in front of his friends. Never again will I go back here. We were paying customers who were sitting quite having a drink until someone wanted to have fun at his job. And as I see with ither reviews the night crew of bouncers and door people treat people wrong and seems nothing has been done about it. Never in my life have I been talked to the way that bouncer did to me

Came here on a Friday night with my friends and we were not impressed. All of the bartenders seemed more interested in each other and their cell phones than they were in serving us. They had $ 4 well drinks for happy hour which was a good deal. While we were there, we tried the calamari(eh) I also tried the chicken caprese sandwich which was not that great, and the chicken club sandwich which was a bit tastier. Overall, we all left unimpressed. I’m sure if you are coming here for just drinks you will have a decent time.

Food is a hit or miss and the service is liable to be on the slower side no matter how little the customer traffic seems to be. That said, the wait staff are nice and accommodating. The restaurant seems very industrial and has a large space. Probably becomes a bit rowdy in the evenings.

Iron Bar is a fun, typical bar; cute inside with a contemporary feel. My friends and I sat down for a meal on Saturday and shared appetizers. The food was good and the prices were on par(20 bucks each for 4 apps and 4 drinks), can’;t beat that! My only complaint was the service. They were very slow and a little stand offish. The waitress seemed annoyed when we asked questions or asked for more time to place our order… she just ruined our experience. Although I would go back for the nachos and bacon, bacon, bacon!

This is the most racist bar that I have been to… it said that it won’t accept the id issued by the Govt of India… guess what they checked our ids when we entered the bar, but we saw atleast 5 people entering the bar and they did not even bother to ask them abt their age… I am never going back to this bar again, and yeah I urge my fellas not to go there either… there are so many better options a couple of blocks down such as Hops and The Famished Frog… Shame on you Iron Bar

Horrible — Bartender was a nasty girl for no reason. Then we witnessed something really racist. Well as we are standing at the bar on Sunday 9−27−15. We witnessed a black guy and a white girl get turned away because the black guy was wearing Timbs. Wellll 5 minutes after that a white guy who was not nearly dressed as nice as the black guy was let in with the dirtiest Timbs, wrinkled jeans a flannel shirt. When we approached the bouncer and asked why, his answer blew us away … He said he let the white guy in because he was a cop and a «good guy». So that really nice dressed black man with brand new timbs on was not a «good guy». Unreal — I will never go back and make sure to tell everyone I know about this story and also never refer this place to anyone.

Nice atmosphere very clean. Gets pretty pack on Sunday for the games. Good pick of beers(Magic hat #9) the crowd is alittle young but controlled. The food is very good. Very nice area as well. Good for a group of people prices are a little high but worth it.

Not a bad spot — two bar areas playing different music so you’ve got options. Bouncer is a jerk — we went next door to a different bar and didnt close out our credit card only to come back and find the bar tender was serving others drinks on our tab. We disputed this and waited on the manager outside who never showed. Bouncer loudly called us bitches as we left… classy. Go early to avoid long line outside.

The 2 times my wife and I have been here, we have been pleased with the service & food. Last night, on a bustling evening in Motown, was no different. We were seated promptly and the place wasn’t too busy. The atmosphere is upbeat and there are plenty of TV’s to keep you busy. The restaurant is very long and somewhat wide. Bar can fit lots of thirsty/hungry patrons. There are plenty of tables as well(booth style). Eric was our waiter. He was awesome. Friendly and knew his stuff. Since it was HH(until 8pm) I was able to score $ 1 off draft beers. Their selection is good. App: Fried pickles… need I say more… it comes with a horseradish dipping sauce which is so good! The pickles were excellent. We even talked our neighboring tables into ordering them… which they thanked us for. Entrees: SOUTHSTREETCHICKENSANDWICH — Teriyaki marinated grilled chicken with smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato with Cajun mayonnaise on brioche roll. It was really good. If the chicken wasn’t too dry it would have been perfect. CHOPPEDSALAD — A blend of romaine and iceberg lettuce chopped and then tossed with tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted corn, radicchio, bacon bits and onions. Topped with provolone cheese, pea shoots, chives and choice of dressing. Served with ripped garlic bread. We added chicken as well. It was very good. The ingredients tasted fresh. The bacon added a nice crunch along with the sharpness of the provolone cheese. I could have done without the garlic bread which lacked flavor and added carbs. Overall it’s a good place to go for a drink, good food and a nice atmosphere. Apparently their Friday/Saturday nights are fun and busy with music and dancing. ENJOY!

Dear manager who was working today, I am thoroughly disappointed in the fact you would not come speak to me when I requested your attention this afternoon(5÷5÷2015). And I know maybe it was because the promo that you rescinded despite it being advertised at the front door and then later changed the value of to make up the difference.(Yes we noticed that scumbaggery too). I actually wanted to discuss our service which, surprise, was as bad as your managerial ability. Our appetizers were forgotten, she did not know the menu at all, and our second round of drinks which we ordered at the beginning of our meal came well after we had finished eating. Not to mention our lunch experience was well over an hour and I promise this was not due to enjoyment. I’d like to give my regards to the chef who, despite the cluttered menu, made a hell of a steak taco. Outside of this I really hope the owner comes across this review because until I see a sign for new management I will not be returning to your establishment. An offended foodie.

I came here during Restaurant Week with a great deal and the tagline to try their food, not just their drinks. The lady and I gladly obliged and settled in before a hockey playoff game. Tables were readily available at 7PM on a Thursday. Service was a bit slow the whole night but not too bad. The décor is fairly stark and open — modernist, I suppose. The noise level wasn’t too bad at first but steadily increased as people poured in to watch the game(or just the normal Thursday crowd). A large-ish group of guidos and guidettes decided to park themselves right by our table, which didn’t help matters. We could more or less hear each other, but the waitress was out of range just a few feet away. The food was hit or miss. I started with the lobster bisque — five stars, definitely. They pour a thick, creamy bisque over chunks of lobster meat. Can’t say no to large chunks of lobster! My entrée was the ribs, which I only ordered because it was restaurant week and not something I’d get otherwise(quite pricy). The ribs were small and burnt. They weren’t tough or chewy, but they would have been a lot more tender if they were cooked about 4 hours less on the slow cooker. The sauce had mostly dried on or cooked off, so they were pretty dry as well. Instead of a side of ketchup for my onion rings, a side of BBQ sauce might have helped. The rings were not my style — instead of the crumbed style, they were a solid ring of dough around the onion. Good enough, just not my style. My girlfriend gave her salmon very good reviews, so let’s call that four stars. The drinks — meh. Not a terribly large selection. No craft beers, surprisingly for a bar in this area. $ 1 off for regular happy hour, and some even better deals if you stay late enough on a weeknight.($ 1 Yuenglings on Thursday night 9PM on!!) Some of the other dishes looked very good as they went by, such as the lobster mac. I’m not sold on several elements here, but if a dish comes out well, it can be excellent. If it doesn’t — I guess it doesn’t. I might come back, it’s certainly a lot less pretentious than Sona next door, but I have to be in the right mood. This is on the good side of the 3 star rating, but not quite up to 4. Yet.

Not bad… This is another typical Morristown bar. It’s another one where the bar is really long and there’s seating parallel to the bar and just a strip of space in between so to get from one end to the other, you have to get to know everyone intimately and basically crawl up on strangers to make your way through.

Knocked down another star after most recent visit. Very few beers on tap, only one bartender(granted, not a lot of customers) who has absolutely no knowledge of any of the beers.

Above average lunch spot. I haven’t been here at night in a long time, so I’m going to stick with 4 stars on food alone. I was here for a group lunch. The bar is long and spacious and the bottles of booze are nicely displayed. They appear to have a large beer selection, alas, I was here for a work event and didn’t take a close look. As far as ambiance, this spot was empty on a Tuesday afternoon around 1PM. It’s always feels creepy when you’re the only group in a bar, at least to me. They have 9 or 10 flat screens and I could see watching a game here, if I frequented Morristown. They have quite the eclectic selection for lunchtime and I’m sure you’ll find something you want to try. I felt like I was in a diner, with too many things to choose from. The range of food is Mexican-American to American bar food to some unique creations like a po’ boy made from Ahi tuna. I was enticed by the lobster mac & cheese and a few sandwich options but I went with tacos… Onto the food: 1) benguittes– Whoa! These were flavorful, sweet and tangy thanks to the sauce. Impressed. 2) edamame– surprised to see this on a bar menu. Similar to mid grade Japanese restaurants. I practically ate all of this from the table. 3) calamari– standard bar fare. The tacos were weren’t bad either. They were fairly bland and could have used a more unique salsa. The salsa that was provided tasted like it was from a jar. Everyone really seemed to enjoy the food. The lobster bisque soup was a popular choice at our table. It’s served with the lobster at the bottom of your bowl, and the server pouring the soup over the meat. It was neat to see such attention to detail in a bar. Would return for lunch, not sure about weekends since I am now elderly. Pricing seems in line with the area, and I thought it was a good value. Everyone left stuffed and happy. Sorry for no pics– but was with coworkers.
