Go here way too often but it’s never a regret ;) LOVE this place! Pizza is great and pasta Monday’s are amazing.

I’ve never actually eaten in the restaurant, or at the bar, so I can’t comment on the service, etc. I live across the street in the Highlands, so I come here for takeout, and usually grab a drink(or two) at the bar while waiting. The food seems to take some time, which I see some Unilocalers have mentioned previously. But all in all, it’s pretty good for the price. The Pete’s Angry Burger w/onion rings is my go-to cheat meal(or when I’ve had a few too many), as is the eggplant parm. Portions are huge(you can do the eggplant parm for dinner, and lunch the next day). Bartenders are always friendly as well.

If I could give this place less than a star, I would. We’ve endured decline service since they purchased the Rattlesnake Cantina(now out of business!). With 4 people in the restaurant, out food was none existent after 25 minutes. I asked the waitress where I food was and she declared that out ticket didn’t go through. However, all the while she stood behind the bar eating pizza and drinking!!! She was non-apologetic and that was it! Her attitude for her failure to follow through was inexcusable. Never again will we go there.

Hadn’t been here in over a year but decided to give it another shot. Big mistake. When we took a table, two tables next to us hadn’t been cleaned and remained that way for 20 minutes until another patron complained. Ordered an app which never came. After 30 minutes we asked about the app and was told they never put it in, but our bar pies were ready. They offered to take the app off our check — gee thanks, but then said they’d bring the app with no charge. Pizza tasted like it had been cooked a week ago and was reheated. Not charging us for the app was the only thing that kept this from 1 star.

Generally okay. Parm Alfredo was seriously lacking in cheese … had to add the entire jar from the table to get any flavor! Linguine and white clams was very good. Service good but server seemed confused when I asked about bread to go with the salad/meal. Hmmmm. Took dessert to go only to discover the cannoli were only filled on the ends, not to the middle. :-(Filling a bit too stiff and too sweet. For a tavern/pub, decent food but it is a bit pricey.

We came in on a Thursday night with a group of 14. Hostess was attentive and the food was great. Staff was very accommodating. Thank you from Colgate-Palmolive!

Disorganized. Not enough menus. Not enough silverware. Dirty dishes and tip money on tables while people are waiting. Management seems unconcerned while they drink behind the register. Waited for a pizza that came out warm, not hot. We saw it sitting before service. Meh!

My friend and I arrived at 1:00AM after a long shift at work. My friend ordered a beer around 1:30AM. At 1:50AM, the next think we know we were getting kicked out. The female bartender motioned to us, and said, «You have to get out now!» It was very odd, and weird. No lights came on, they didn’t stop the music. A drunk girl said, «Everyone out who doesn’t work here get out! I work here, and it sucks, now we have to drink!!» My friend couldn’t even finish his drink. He had one sip. A man(who was serving pizza that night) also said to us, «Get out… NOW.» Not a fun, and friendly environment we thought it was. No last call was made. Sorry guys, but this was a turn off. Also which I was i shock is that we were trying to exit, and the doors were locked. I felt like a prisoner. Never again

Bad food and terrible customer service. Apparently they encourage the staff to argue with you and pretend to be different people on the phone. The bartender who pretends to be a manager is rude and the guy who she has handle her calls is even worse. He said to me «Did you get your food?! Then what is the problem?! «. I responded it was not cooked properly and he said«you got it so how was it wrong?» What? The owner of this place needs to address the issues here. Avoid this place!!!

Love’em. Todd is the best. A good Italian family restaurant. Very reasonably priced for the portions and good specials. Quaint bar atmosphere and wonderful patrons. Ohhh, not too mention, if you want delivery after 815 on a weekend; Pete’s is THE only place that wants to make $$$ in Morristown and, especially, Morris Plains. Give’em a try.

So this is a hard one to write. The pizza is really some of the best you can get. The main problem for me is the place — it seems like it has not been cleaned or updated in 20 years. 2 of the 3 drinks we ordered were in dirty glasses and the Guinness I ordered tasted like it was from a dirty old tap. The interior is in need of a serious cleaning and update. Will I return, yes because the pizza is awesome. Would I be a regular if it were cleaner, probably. Good food but at what cost?

HUGE portions. I was nervous to order the Baked Ziti because I’ve ordered from other places and when it’s bad it’s BAD and a huge waste of money. That was NOT the case at Pete’s! The pasta was good as was the sauce and cheese. They add ricotta(love) and don’t charge extra for it like another place I was considering ordering from. The salad was very fresh, as was the bread that came with the pasta(crusty on the outside and so soft on the inside). Docked a point for a really bad interaction with the delivery guy. Todd the manager was helpful about it.

Love the bar here. Nobody had their phone out, regulars and strangers all talked to each other! Ate the Stuffed Sole, well sauced and warming on a cold night. Bartender moves quickly and elegantly and friendly. Guinness is pored just right. Tomorrow night I’ll try the pizza, which is loved by locals.

Went here for a quick bite to eat before my friend’s tattoo appointment and honestly, it was just a simple plain pub. Like don’t get me wrong, I liked it. The beer was good and so were the wings. But wait. The wings. They were actually reaaally good. They were breaded and crunchy and full of fried goodness. But apart from that, nothing else stood out. I’d say if you just wanted to go somewhere real quick for a dinner or lunch, then you can head here. But apart from that, that’s about it.

I ordered the chicken parm with angel hair, the pasta tastes like it was cooked in metallic water. I took one bite and felt like I was sucking on pennies. The waitress came to take it from me and didn’t even ask why I didn’t like the food. I returned it and ordered something simple, garlic knots… big mistake. The knots were burnt, which overpowered any remnants of garlic whatsoever. Terrible experience, service was awful.

Not a fan of this place. We came here for a small pre wedding get together, about 14 people. We ordered an array of personal pizzas, slices and entrée selections. First off there are fruit flies all over. A hamburger was sent out rarer than rare, sent back and still raw! Their Italian wedding soup is very nontraditional(big hunks of chicken, very cloudy broth) when it was clear we didn’t get what was expected the waitress acted as if it was listed as such on the menu(no it just says«Italian wedding soup») Of the 2 pastas I tried both had very bland sauce. Their drunken chicken parm(chicken parm with vodka sauce) tasted like cream with a bit of tomato paste and the shrimp fra Diablo’s sauce was like spicy water with way over cooked butterflied mini shrimp. Literally nothing was good.

Sat down for dinner early in the year and were thoroughly unimpressed. I got pasta that was completely over-sauced and disgusting. The waitress saw I ate one bite and couldn’t eat any more, and she never even offered me something else or a refund. She simply picked it up and took it away without even saying anything! My friend got pizza and said it wasn’t great, but was edible. Our waitress never came back and finally some other waitress took pity on us and brought us our check. I decided to give them a second chance after seeing what a good delivery deal they offer. Same friend and I ordered takeout plain pie and each had two slices. Four hours later I wake up and immediately vomit all over the floor. I spent the next nine hours puking my head off in the bathroom. My friend spent even longer in the bathroom, and ended up having to go to the hospital for dehydration after being unable to keep even water down. I called Pete’s both times to complain and was told a manger would call me back. Never heard from them either time. I will never EVER go back. You’re better off at Burger King across the street.

Probably a bit effusive and unfair to give it 5-stars. I’ve only been the once. Will I go back? Yup. I didn’t try the pizza, but sidled up to a small high-top table, and went for one of the night’s specials — a stuffed chicken dish served on a bed of linguini or fettucini. Excellent dish. The sauce brought it all together, but was not overpowering. Pasta cooked perfectly. Chicken was excellent — wish I could tell you what was stuffed into the chicken. Started off with the apple walnut salad, which was also tasty … and substantial. I hit dinner a bit late, and as I was wrapping up to head back to do some more work, a guitar /bass duo started performing in a corner — first song was a nice rendition of a Peter Gabriel song. I wanted to stay, but it was getting crowded, and it had been a long week. Speaking of crowded, this is a ‘joint’ — couldn’t have been more than 25 chairs with room for twenty, plus the active bar. Being alone, I became unintentionally well acquainted with the folks standing and sitting around me. Not so many people that the din would mask conversation, and instead of people watching, I guess I was people listening … as much as I tried to not eavesdrop. Largely a more mature crowd — late 30s to mid 60s. But, friendly. This is on my short list for Morristown. Would love to explore more of that menu … and maybe stay for the music, next time. The entrance passes by a few tables and a counter which look to be focused on the pizza side of the operation. Still small. I didn’t count that in the 25 chairs. They were using some of that space, on the night I visited, to fold pizza boxes. Looks to be more of a ‘take out’ operation.
