This place is fabulous! Central location just off W AJ and easily accessible from Economy or Walters, in front of Home Depot. Super choice for a quick lunch or a lingering dinner. Lunch 7 days a week, dinner menu W-Sat. Two options for grilled cheese… one is a traditional cheddar melted on your choice of bread(we opted for the amazing swirled rye) or the triple cheese with Havarti/Cheddar/Swiss(also on rye) and truly melted the whole way through. Too many places have melted edges and not so much in the middle. They get it RIGHT at Redbud! Soups…oh the soups… A wonderful taste of the garden in their regular tomato basil and if you are fortunate enough to try the Tomato Seafood… DOSO! It is a fresh update on a classic cioppino without the finned fish, only the shellfish plus some corn and beans and absolute PERFECTION! I first had the pecan chicken salad, and it was good… but then I had the Redbud chicken salad and SWOOOON… it was love! When you think of a classic, Southern chicken salad – THISISIT! Creamy without being soupy and bright, juicy red grapes sliced in and a slice of farm fresh tomato and leaf of crunchy lettuce. I went with toasted ciabatta for mine and can’t imagine anything tastier! The desserts all look amazing as well – the selection is among the best I have seen anywhere and they are site baked. I really like that the slices are single layer of most cakes and they have massive brownies, blondies and other treats. Counter order but table service. The staff we’ve encountered have all seemed truly happy to be there, very well versed in the menu items and have yet to see someone ‘holding a broom up’…it’s a hive of activity! The interior is bright and inviting with retro light fixtures and some very fun ‘liquid’ fixtures on the long wall. The beverages are self service and they have both sweet and unsweetened tea as well as carbonated beverages. They have a self-service pre-pack deli case just before the order stations. I have gotten both pimento cheese(it comes regular and hot) and pecan chicken salad to take home. One tip – I buy a small container of the chicken salad and mix it with a breast of rotisserie chicken that I pulled and then cover with shredded Havarti and Gouda cheeses and garlic/rye croutons and bake for an awesome hot casserole. Truly a shining star in the constellation of eateries in Morristown!

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for a few weeks but just haven’t had the time to do so. The menu and shared photos certainly where enticing, so when I had a chance to eat dinner with the gf I was happy to try a new spot. I’d say Redbud has the right idea, but could use a bit better execution. My dinner choices where the house chicken salad sandwich on wheat berry, dill potato salad instead of the homemade chips, and for dessert a slice of chocolate chip cookie cake. Almost everything I tried tonight(along with a few bites of the gf’s meal choices) needed the same thing: salt. Everything just lacked a bit of salt to help balance the creaminess of the potato salad, the flat taste of the homemade chips(had a few of the gf’s) and somewhat blandness of the chicken salad. My other issue was the bread, I wish I had asked for them to toast it, but I’m not sure that’s an option(which should be, it obviously isn’t that hard). I will say we enjoyed our desserts(the gf being a chocoholic ordered the chocolate cake, her favorite thing of the meal). My slice was something I’ve never tried nor heard of before, so it was quite a surprise in that it tasted just like a cookie. It was pretty moist, but I still felt the need for a glass of milk due to its flavor. I think we’ll be trying it again, and perhaps next time taking a shot at their dinner options. Some look pretty good, though I may have to be convinced that squirting sriracha ketchup and mustard on meatloaf is an appetizing offer :-/ Update: I’ve been back twice, and if I may make one recommendation: SOUP. The soups are just great, including their current specials Chicken Tomatillo and Loaded Potato.

Wonderful place. Never had a bad meal and so much of what this town needs. They are open only a few days for dinner. I hope that changes and becomes more oftern. Love to see them have a second and larger restaurant.

This place is a gem. The food was very fresh and creative, which is two big pluses. NOT a chain. Pimento cheese sandwich with chunky tomato soup. Cakes are fantastic, prices reasonable. Luzianne iced tea. Every detail was thought out carefully. My party of three all loved it. Maybe my teeanaged daughter will stop asking to go to chain restaurants when we travel.

My favorite restaurant in Morristown! I have never had anything bad. The soups are all made from scratch and extra flavorful. The shrimp and grits is to die for! All of the desserts I have tried are amazing too.

I’ve only been one time… had chicken salad and a lemon bar with ginger crust. Both were too sweet for my taste. Chicken salad also a little too much mayo. Based on other reviews here, I’ll give it another try and get something different next time. It is a nice little deli.

A great find for wonderful tasty food. Ordered their Cobb Salad with Chipotle Vinaigrette. Nice and tangy. It came with a Sweet Potato Muffin which was dang good. The service is fast and staff are friendly. Lots of choices of salads, soups and sandwiches. Place was packed but still had plenty of room for me to enjoy lunch. Come on in, place your order, take a number and a table and you’ll soon be dining a fine meal.

Really incredible food. Home made desserts. Hand made soups. My group had — the meatloaf panini, chicken quesadilla, pimento cheese and the chicken and fennel soup. We were all extremely satisfied. I would highly recommend the Redbud.
