Bleh. Terrible experience, food was gross, sloppy presentation, and there was a dead fly squished to my pickle. Very over priced. We were looking forward to a fresh and delicious meal and got a sad attempt at wraps and salads. Would not recommend.

Great tasty salads boasted by a wide range of choices. The greens are very fresh and you can add on protein in the way of chicken and shrimp to all your salads. But be price cognizant, this place is very overpriced. $ 10 – 12 for a premium salad that you can make at home for under $ 4 or $ 8 from Cosi’s or Panera. The staff are very friendly though, so they got that going for them. Yes, they toss salads.

We order from here frequently at work. Usually I get the chopped salad, which is good, nothing above average, but good. About a week ago we placed an online order(we always order online) and over an hour after we called to check on the status. They hadn’t started the order yet. We were told, in a very rude way, that the website gives a standard 45 minute delivery time. Basically they said it wasn’t their problem that the delivery time given was about 45 minutes off, they were unapologetic and we canceled our order, which they were also not happy about. Finally, today, we decided to give them another try. We placed 2 separate online orders. 1.5 hours after ordering we called to see where the food was. Apparently despite getting confirmation e mails, they never received our order. However, rather than apologizing and trying to make it right, they had a major attitude, and again, said it wasn’t their problem. We placed the order again, and 2.5 hours after the initial order, it came. I got the cheat day breakfast wrap-it’s supposed to include eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese, ketchup, and spicy mayo. Imagine my disappointment when I opened it and found soggy egg with a sprinkle of cheese and very few tiny bits of bacon. There was no ketchup, spicy mayo(not even in the bag), potatoes, nor was it in any way big enough to call it a «cheat meal». Between the customer service and the experience, I’d recommend skipping this one.

Calamari was good but I got food poisoning. Took ten shits that night. Maybe should have had the salad.

Nothing positive about my experience except the location. Just from my first steps into the business I felt like the place was a mess, menus thrown all over my possible tabletop, large flat screen tv showing family photos, employees lined up behind the counter with their arms crossed. All red flags, should have walked right back out. I decided to make a custom panini, chicken cutlet, pesto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper and some balsamic. Pretty simple, right? While placing my order I confirmed that they bread and pan fry the chicken cutlets at the business rather than some rubber precooked nonsense. He confirmed. I take a seat and within a reasonable time my sandwich comes out. A chicken breast(not grilled nor breaded) with the peppers and mozzarella. No pesto or balsamic to be seen. I walk back to the counter and explain what’s wrong, acting as if they understood they go into the back to fix it. It comes back out, this time, correct chicken STILLNOPESTOORBALSAMIC! At this point I was crunched for time and didn’t feel like waiting any longer. For $ 10 I’d much rather go to one of the many other options in the area. Don’t bother testing this place out, craving a fast salad? Head to the Kings down the road.

I love salads and I had a great salad today from The Salad House. The chopped salads are tasty and the creamy balsamic dressing is delicious. Would recommend.

I rarely write reviews… the salads are actually really good, however, on several occasions both during the day while at work and at night for dinner I have chosen the delivery option. Almost every time delivery takes over an hour. Two night ago I called in at 6:00 and the two salads arrived at 7:30. The first time I called to check on the order at 7:00 the staff stated the order left 10 minutes prior. Staff who I spoke to twice didn’t seem to care much. I probably won’t be going back too often unless I have a lot of time to spare – our office stopped order in from here all together.

Tasty with a nice variety. But way too expensive for what it is.

I found a piece of plastic bag in my salad and the man working there couldn’t have been any ruder. He simply looked at it and told me it was from their plastic take out bags. NO offer to do anything. I went up a second time with the rest of my uneaten salad and he just looked at me and told me they have a lot of bags in the back and the«wind probably blew it into the salad»… After all of that he offered to make me another one — no thank you. I asked for my money back, and will never be returning. I understand that these things can happen at any restaurant, but to be stared at blankly and given an attitude for it?! Horrible customer service with over-priced salads(with free plastic bag toppings)!

If you feel like your taste buds need punishing then the Salad House is the place for you! This place has been consistent with a few things: mediocre food and friendly staff. An improvement from my first visit: I did not have to wait 30 minutes for my food. The first time I got a Chicken Pesto Sandwich… PASS. Thought I would give this place another chance but this time my food was inedible and made me cry(literally, read on). I got the Onion Salad – oh wait I mean Cobb Salad. It’s hard to tell what I’m eating when all I can taste is ONION. To put some color around just how much onion there was, my eyes watered a little when I opened the container(making me think this was pre-made and stuck in the fridge) and after forcing myself to eat not even a fifth of the salad, I had an onion cough attack. Aside from the onions, the avocados had a watery consistency around each little frozen piece and the chicken was overcooked. Think I’m going to stick to trusty Panera Bread from now on.

Excellent! Had the buffalo chicken pizza. For the money, it’s huge with a lot of chicken on it. Love that they deliver… Our business will be ordering from now on. Thank you!!!

Delivery took over 1.5 hours for 2 salads and cold fries. The driver called me from the car in the street and I had to walk out to get the food from him. My chopped salad was really good, I love a chopped salad. The caesar salad was nothing special and I would not get it again.

We had a great first experience here! It was our first time and right as we entered a women behind the counter came out to great us and show us how the create your own salad or wrap works. We created our own salad and they turned out delicious! The ingredients were very fresh and the staff very helpful. Prices were reasonable with $ 6 base for a green plus 5 ingredients, we added a protein for an extra $ 3. Portions were very reasonable and lasted for two sittings. I would highly recommend the create your own salad, this is a great addition to morristown!

Looked like this place was having a grand opening party so decided to give it a shot. My compatriot had the turkey bacon panini and said it was very good. I had the crispy shrimp sandwich which had abaca do and a spicy mayo. Nice, tender shrimp in a crunchy costing nestled in between soft ciabatta bread with a very tasty and not too spicy mayo. A nice change from the standard chicken sandwich. Clean, bright décor and a friendly staff. Glad I stopped by.

This review isn’t so much on the salad, which I actually found to be a bit soggy… but from the delivery person. I am at work, leave my direct work number and I get a phone call on my cell phone saying the food is here. When I walked up to the lobby he yelled my name while I was still a good 100ft away and said«for future, let the receptionist know you are ordering food, so it minimizes the time I have to sit around and wait». I proceeded to say the receptionist knows how to call my phone, and if not I left my direct number on the order form. His response to that was«I didn’t have my phone»…just plain rude and not how you should speak to a customer.

Yes, it isn’t cheap. However the delivery came 15 minutes early which is always a bonus. And to the person who claims ‘Chopped’ is cheaper– well you must have worked in the city a long time ago. Because their prices are on par with Hale and Hearty and Chop’t. I also can’t imagine how people think these salads are small. One salad lasted me three days of lunch.
Their customer service, along with their quality is great. Minus a star because I would like more options like hearts of Palm, baby corn, sunflower seeds, etc. If they expand their add ins, they will really take off. I will without a doubt order delivery from then again.

If you restrain yourself you get a big bowl of greens plus 5 add-on veggies for just $ 6. Choices of leaf are romaine, baby greens, iceberg, spinach, kale. The free(read: cheap) throw-in veg includes tomato, cucumber, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, peppers, carrots, chick peas, corn, peas, kidney beans, beets, olives, raisins, egg whites, sunflower seeds, bacon bits, tortilla crips and croutons. But add on some cheese for $ 1.25, avocado for $ 1.50, roasted red peppers for $ 3, shrimp for $ 4, and suddenly you’ve blown $ 15+. My dining companion restrained herself and got a basic salad plus cheese. Ingredients were perfectly average — shredded carrots, frozen-thawed corn, generic shredded cheddar. I tried the Italian tuna sandwich, a tad high at $ 9 but I did like the mixture of olive & tomato in with the fish; focaccia-style bread was fresh but shoulda been toasted or something. A few leaves of lettuce on the side were just decoration. Vegetarian rating for The Salad House: 4 stars for the salads, smoothies, hummus and insalada pizzas, veggie burger, also portobello and grilled veggie wraps. Radio kinda loud(fine) blaring ads too(not fine). Friendly people, they run the food out to you. Plenty of seating.

2.5 stars, but I’ll round up since it’s a new business, although I do have a few bones to pick. Lets just say I love the concept. Chopp’d is my jam. When I work in the NYC and need lunch, I without a doubt head to Chopp’d and I was hoping for a similar concept here. The concept is there, but the end product was completely different. For $ 11 I got a smallish, sad looking salad not filled with organic free range chicken and high end artisan ingredients, but just a regular, albeit tasty salad with dressing on the side. It was like a salad you get at the airport to-go counters(but this was actually good and fresh). It really wasn’t anywhere worth the price tag. The Man Salad(which I also just didn’t like the name of this at all) was chopped chicken cutlet, bacon, tomato and cheese. Am I a man because I was a little hungover and wanted to be indulgent? You can imagine what is on the ladies salad. I guess I’m no lady since egg whites and grapes don’t cut it for me. I’m pretty sure that this isn’t meant to be sexist, but it is. Regardless, the food. The Man Salad was tasty, but at $ 11, it was just overpriced and it just didn’t have the quality or the value I’d look for when making a regular purchasing lunch decision. As I mentioned, I also ordered an indulgent salad with ingredients that make the salad good pretty much no matter what. I’m not confident that can be said of the salads without these delicious ingredients. In the end, if I was in a bind, in the area and wanted a quick and healthy lunch — yes, I’d return. They also have smoothies!

Expensive for small portions. I ordered the Fradiavolo Pizza and it was pretty good. $ 11 for a personal flatbread pizza is kinda steep but it turned out to be the perfect portion size for me to not overeat. I guess the concept is you pay a lot for a little bit of food and you can’t afford to add on an appetizer, soda, dessert, etc and so you are eating less and so you’re being healthy. Originally our order was the pizza, crispy shrimp sandwich, and sweet potato fries. When we saw the total price, we were like whoaaa why so expensive so we deleted the $ 6 fries. My husband said his crispy shrimp sandwich was good and had large shrimp in it, but for $ 9, it was a small sandwich and didn’t include fries or chips or a drink or anything. Not worth the price but it forced him to eat less. We ordered online and there is a $ 0.60 convenience fee which actually turned out to be not that convenient because when we went to pick up our food, we still had to wait in line for a little while behind people who placed their orders and were waiting for them. The restaurant is brand new but for some reason, it looks and feels kinda old inside… maybe it’s the lighting or ceiling tiles or maybe it’s all the green that is just not aesthetically pleasing. For the prices, you can eat anywhere else in Morristown and get just as much or even more food, with sit-down service, with a nicer ambiance. If you have no portion control and want to lose weight with sorta fast food and you have a lot of money, then this is your place. Oh and I agree with the other reviews that the salad is really overpriced… I saw them being prepared and the container is really small. Given their location, the prices are kinda understandable but maybe they can give more food for what you are paying– for example, more shrimp in the sandwich, fruit or salad included as a side to the entrees.

I was hoping for a place I was going to love but left feeling underwhelmed. First, it’s overpriced. Salads will run 9 to 12 dollars for a small tiny bowl. For less you get twice was much at salad works. Also the staff first gave me the wrong salad which I noticed before I left. When I got home I noticed they also gave me the wrong dressing. I. gott grilled chicken added to my salads and it was very dry and flavorless. Sadly this was my first and most likely last time
