I really can’t speak about their other dishes coz everytime I step into the place curry fried rice is the only thing I order. I can totally vouch for it, am sure you won’t be disappointed!

**WARNING** Do not go here… I work down the street and had lunch here twice… My waiter(same waiter both times) was nice but his supervisor(at the front desk/where you pay) was rude…1. All parties food came out at different times. 2. The food had a funny taste so I asked the waiter if I could switch it out for something else, I was told NO by the supervisor. 3. I opt to pay for another meal and was told I wouldn’t like that either because they use the same sauces on all the dishes… That was it for me, I gave it 2 tries and won’t be giving it a 3rd.

They definitely have tasty recipes and good service most of the time. However, the food seems loaded with MSG, and the quality of the meat consistently disappoints. I feel worse than when I arrived after I eat here. Something is very strange about the chicken meat they use in deep fried chicken dishes. The texture and taste is really off. I wonder where they buy that? Also, if you really pay attention to the taste of the meats in stir fry dishes, even after all of the sauce and MSG disguise, there are often very strange tastes that makes one really question the quality of what is being served here. It is definitely clear that they take short cuts. Look at how all the tables are served duck sauce bottles that are all nearly empty with the egg rolls. It appears to be an attempt to ration the sauce. The restaurant just comes across really cheap. If that it was they do with the sauce, what else are they doing to take short cuts with the other food? Is this a place that is good to eat at for one’s well being?

The food here is decent and it’s one of my lunch spots. Portions are massive and I can usually take half home for dinner. On this visit I was very unhappy with the service. I went for a later lunch, around 1pm and they are open until 230. By now the lunch rush was over and they were already starting to clean up. I stood up front waiting to be seated for longer than usual while the waiters were by the kitchen door doing whatever. I know they saw me, but made no effort to seat me. Finally after several minutes I was seated by one of the waiters. The hostess was MIA. Ordering was fine, but there was another patron who I saw stand up and flag people down for drinks, condiments, etc. Another couple came in half way through my meal and by this time one of the waiters was vacuuming. I found this very rude since there were customers there trying to eat and enjoy their meal. He left the vacuum running and unattended for at least 5 mins while he tended to this couple and going to the kitchen. Meanwhile the hostess and another waiter were at the front desk, ignoring the running vacuum. Why not cut it off??? The hostess was also busy tapping away on her private phone to notice the other man standing again, asking for a takeout box. If you are open for lunch until 230pm, then your patrons deserve the same level of service as those coming in during the busy lunch hour from 1130-100. Do NOT vacuum while you still have people eating!!!

I was in the mood for Chinese for lunch on a day off from work, and I drive past this place every day to and from RTP, so I decided to give it a shot. I got the General Tso’s chicken lunch special, which comes with white or fried rice and your choice of soup for $ 7.50(incl. tax). It’s a decent amount of food for the price, but the wonton soup was pretty disappointing — one wonton with virtually no meat in it, and the broth was way too salty. The chicken was good — hot but not over-cooked like some places tend to do. And maybe this is a weird complain, but they sort of skimp on the rice. I didn’t get very much at all compared to what I’m used to. This place is fine, especially for what you pay, but Chinese No. 1 on Cary Pkwy is better in my opinion.

Food was OK, but the hospitality was very very poor. The lady in the billing counter(May be the owner?) was so rude. We had a groupon and we told them before ordering. While paying I reminded about the groupon and then the lady increased the bill amount for all dishes and then applied the groupon

I usually go to Orient Garden for lunch on weekdays. It can get pretty busy during the 12 o’clock rush but service is always quick and friendly. Lunch specials cost around $ 7, which is a great value for the amount and quality of food you get. Most lunch specials come with your choice of soup and either steamed or fried rice. The three varieties of soup include, egg drop, hot and sour, and wonton. They’re all good but I usually end up going for the egg drop. If you’re looking for authentic Cantonese food, you may be disappointed but if you’re looking for solid American-Chinese food, this is the place in Morrisville to go.

What kind of quality are you looking for with a 7 dollar lunch? The food is the most average chinese food I have ever had. Nothing stands out as amazing other than the speed and the price. If you are out for lunch and want something quick and cheap that tastes familiar, eat here. I enjoy this place once every few weeks and it is consistent with my expectations.

I happen too drive by and saw the sign, plus the traffic was heavy so I stop too try them out. I sat in the parking lot debating if I should go in. Few minutes later I went in the establishment it was very clean, I was seated by a person that was not very friendly nor did she make any recommendation of what they recommended. Since I love oriental food I enjoy eating at different establishments. I decided to order TSO chicken medium spicy with sweet tea, while I waited for my food a gentleman walked in very friendly with a smile, the first thing he said too me was are you being help I said yes. He asked if I need a re-fill. The service was so different from the experience I received earlier, not once did the other lady ask if I needed anything. It took about 15 mins too receive my food and it was excellent and very presentable, the gentleman came back too ask if I needed anything and brought with him a box and bag without me asking him. When I got up too pay I ask the lady if she was the owner she said No, I stated too her the she need to go to customer service class and diversity because she does not belong with serving people. I gave a tip the the gentlemen that took care of me. The reason I am not giving them a 5 star is because of the service I received from her, and too let the owners know she is not taking good care of their customers. Thanks for the great food it was nice enjoyed the flavors.

Maybe 5 stars for a Chinese restaurant is too many, but compared to the restnofnthem around here, this places is the best. Don’t forget to ask for scallions in your soup if you like it that way, my son doesn’t so he was happy there were none. Chicken is tender and tasty, fried rice is excellent, steamed veggies were great. Avoid red bowl, eat here.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the Raleigh Durham area! They give good food portion, their food is fresh ! Everything about it is good. Other Chinese places I’ve been to is not as great as this place. Also the price is very good for the portions we get. I’ll definitely come back for more

Mediocre Chinese food. Mediocre service. About the only reason to eat here is the relative dearth of decent Chinese food around lunch time in this part of Morrisville.(There is Red Dragon near Harris Teeter, but that’s equally mediocre) I’ve eaten there a few times to indulge co-workers, but if I had my way, I’d pass.

As far as Americanized Chinese takeout places, this one ranks high on my list. The lunch menu offers a number of dishes that ordinary takeout places don’t, such as ho fun, singapore rice noodles, and noodle soups. Taking into consideration the price and the fact that soup is included, this is a place I would frequent. I’m a big fan of noodle dishes and have tried 2 of the ho fun’s and the singapore rice noodle dish. It seems like the other meat and vegetable dishes that come with rice and somewhat smaller in portion size. They also have great fried wonton skins to snack on with soup or before your food arrives. I’ve never had a complaint about the time they take to bring out your food. I will be coming here often in the future.

This is far and away your best choice for cheap, fast«Chinese» food in the area. The prices are on point, the food is pretty good, the portions are large, and the restaurant is clean. I love the crazy tiled walls– peacocks and dragons and waves. I’ve eaten there many times, and NEVER had a problem with either the owner or the waitstaff. If you’re a regular, you’re golden in this place– the owner remembered my name last time I was in, and it had been more than a year since I’d eaten there(used to live around the corner, but now I’ve moved and it’s no longer close).

I was rather unimpressed with my chicken something-something, it didn’t meet the«I can’t cook this at home» standard. Then I noticed that everyone’s food was really the same ingredient permutations with different sauces. So if you think about it, it’s basially a Mongolian grill without the fun of picking your own permutation and watching them cook it.(I have an «inside tip» that they really don’t eat like that in Mongolia.) So if you think Mongolian Grill is great, but you don’t like assembling your own food, then I guess maybe you’ll like this place? Otherwise you can do better all over town(see previous, next reviews.)

Not bad. By no means the best Asian food I’ve had, but it feels a bit like one of those«lunch factories» that cater to local white collar workers who tend to emphasize quantity over quality. But, as quick Asian goes, it’s serviceable and the staff were friendly, and I’d go back if I had a hankering and didn’t want to take my chances elsewhere.

I like their broccoli in garlic sauce. I went there for lunch couple of times and I got good food both the times. But my complaint is their service is very bad and they have some waiters who don’t even understand what we are trying to ask them. Looks like they have very few nice waiters. I am taking that ine start away because of their service.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant for years and until today have never had a problem. Today one of my friends ordered the Sesame Chicken Lunch special priced at $ 6.50. But instead of getting Chicken she got fried breading covered in sesame sauce. There wasn’t a single piece of chicken on her plate! We immediately issued a complaint to the waitress who took it up with the owner of the establishment. The owner then sent the poor waitress back with the bad news … «So sorry for the lack of chicken but we will charge you for the soup and the rice and oh that will be $ 4.50.» When we asked to speak to the owner she refused to come out and instead sat there and glared at our table. With today’s economy there are a ton of great Chinese Restaurants that believe in both quality food and customer service. I would highly recommend avoiding Orient Garden as they seem to believe in neither!
