We found Ascot Suites on
for a mini getaway. This was a great find. The hotel is in walking distance from the board walk of Morro Bay. The hotel has a romantic European country vibe. The rooms are clean and very cozy. The room we stayed in had a fireplace that did a great job warming up the room. The staff is very nice and gave great customer service. I would recommend this hotel highly and we will definitely be coming back.

House cleaning knocked on our door three times on the morning of checkout (within a two hour span), while we had the do not disturb sign up.
A/​C thermostat in the room would not turn the air conditioner on. The chairs in the room had stains and rips. The end of the blow dryer was broken. Some of the drywall was broken on a corner.
The fireplace worked, which was nice and the morning breakfast seemed decent, although there were not enough eggs available when we went to get breakfast.
Overall, for the price and location it wasn’t a horrible stay. I could overlook everything else had the maid service not been such a nuisance, although had the room been any hotter it would have been unbearable.

This place is a JOKE! NO NOT STAY HERE! These people actually had the nerve to give me a room with my debit card hold with me telling them I was planning on paying cash… ran my card at 6am… when the card did not have enough money on it to cover their hold? They called our room woke us up demanding that we leave the room… we came down to the lobby confused as to what in the world was going on? I said I have cash for the room I told the person who checked us in last night. When I tried to pay cash they would NOT take my CASH! They called the police!!! These people are NUTS! The police even said why wont you take their cash? They said they are under new management and can not accept cash? HUH? OK? So the police said it is a civil matter and to just leave then… as we went to leave they told the police… okay we will take their cash? These [people are a JOKE! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS TACKY BUSINESS!!! WE didn’t even get to take a shower! Pathetic!

A cozy clean romantic hotel blocks from morrow rock. The staff (all of them) made every effort to make my stat enjoyable… they made sunset dinner reservations for my party and returned some suit jackets I left accidentally. I would highly recommend this hotel! Colleen and the night desk clerk (blonde guy with long hair) were exceptional!
