James, behind the counter, was very informative & friendly. We tried both the Standard & Luxury Tasting. The 2013 Boekenoogen Pinot Noir and the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon rocked our taste buds. We left with a bottle of the Cab & were extremely happy.

Whenever we have out of town guests and relatives this is our GO TO PLACE! Brandon, the server, is low key and informative about this wonderful winery. We have visited their former site in Paso and now enjoy the modern, minimalistic tasting room on the Embarcadero. They don’t need lots of hooplah because the FABULOUS wines have their own voice… a MOST superb beautiful one at that! Thanks Brandon, see you soon!

We were delighted to find during a recent vacation that Château Margene, one of our favorite wineries from the Paso Robles area, had opened a wine tasting room in Morro Bay!
Located right on the Embarcadero, it’s a beautiful relaxed atmosphere to try their wines (at reasonable pricing!), plus also try some unique cooking oils and vinegars. Cate was behind the counter and you can hear her enthusiasm in their product. It’s truly not a hard sell… because their wine is awesome. We plan to stop here again soon!
