Ugh, awful. Maybe this place is popular with the tourists but I’m not a tourist and it was disgraceful. I’ve had a better meal at Denny’s.

We had dinner before the band came on. The food was ok and nothing too memorable, but our waiter was so great that we could not believe how well we were treated — he could have easily fit into high end restaurants in the big cities charging double or triple the price. For a few minutes after our meal we sat and enjoyed the sunset through the large windows, with Morro Rock changing colors as the sky grew dark. Then the blues band(Cliff Notes) came on. They just dominated their songs, with a lot of fun interaction between the band members and the audience, and amongst themselves. It was a treat to listen to the lady singer«Fireball» and hear the energy and passion of a Janis Joplin, but with a nicer voice. The caption for this restaurant says it has«karaōke, breakfast and brunch and sandwiches». Somebody should add night time entertainment to the description to make this an accurate caption.

Where do I even begin? Extremely slow service. Noisy, dirty, smelly, cigarette smoke burning your eyes bad! Full of arrogant, immature, college kids who want to be noticed by all customers. 2 orders of fish & chips that were bad and 2 baskets of fries which were swimming in salt and seasoning. Asked for check and waited way too long. The waitresses seemed clueless as to what was going on in this place and seemed to not care about their customers.

This is probably one of my favorite places in Morro Bay. The staff is very friendly and love the food and entertainment. I would recommend this place to anyone who visits Morro Bay.

Wife and I attended the 2016 Morro Bay Annual Car show from Thursday through Sunday, one of the highlights was The Otter Rock Café. The owner Jamie Parker and All her staff(Nicole, Lars, Carley, Peter, Ana, and Shay) were so so friendly & their customer service was a Ten, it was our«Go Too Place» every evening! Their food was awesome, esp their local seafood, scallops & salmon were our favorites, Saturday nights music with everybody dancing was the best, band was awesome. Drinks esp their«Fire Water Special» is a must have! We cannot wait to return, Great Food and Great Service! Manny & Crystal San Diego CA

A little over priced but the food was good. Had the spaghetti and meat balls, marinara sauce was terrific, and the grilled salmon plates. Most all the tables had a good view of the bay and there is live music, which we may have missed at lunch time. Service was top notch.

Went there yesterday to have dinner. The hostess at the entrance rejected to place us at a two party’s table at the window as it wouldn’t have fit in the work flow of the restaurant. Thus, she offered us a 4 party’s table pretty much in the middle of the runway. Once we told her we do not want that table she didn’t show any attention to hold us back from leaving.

Ordered 2 cosmos and could NOT get them down. Really bad. $ 24! REALLY??? Told them they were bad and all we got as a response was, «oh really, he usually makes them really well. « Sorry new waiter, would have left you a tip but felt robber by the drinks.

Enjoyed an evening of live music and good food here tonight. Elizabeth Etta performed on stage with her original songs on guitar. She moved to the Central Coast from Kyoto, Japan and was featured in the local newspaper. We had the half-order of the seafood combo which was delicious and enough for two people. I recommend this restaurant with a view of Morro Bay.

Went on Saturday afternoon with friends for drinks and were entirely unimpressed. 3 of us tried the Cayucos Mules. 2 of them were okay but mine was horrible. I took one sip and asked the waitress if I could get something else. As she was taking the drink away she stated that I would still be charged for it so I told her one of the boys would just drink it then. She angrily put it back on the table for my boyfriend who couldn’t even drink it because they put so much chili powder into it. After that I just got a vodka cranberry which I had to add cranberry juice to because it was basically add vodka with a drop of cranberry. Our waitress then screwed up my sister in laws drink order which was supposed to be a moscow mule with tequilla instead od vodka. She brought the vodka one and when we complained, she tried to argue that it was ordered wrong. After she brought us the correct drink, she whined to both the bartender and another waiter. After all of this, our waitress never came back and only looked at us to glare. We left and went elsewhere where we knew we would get drinks and service were more enjoyable. Overall, very disappointed.

My husband went in last night and had a great time! My favorite kind of restaurant; drinks and overlooking the water :)Service was amazing, our waitress was great and manager was on top of it! He was just as involved as any of the staff. I wish i could recall their names to give them a shoutout. Food was awesome! I took the recommendation from our waitress the fish tacos and my husband got the cream cheese spinach oysters, which he loved and were local. Which is whats great about most morro bay restaurants is their local seafood. To top it off there was music and dancing! Anyways we will be back soon. Thanks guys for a great night! P.s I’ve been there in daytime and just as fun sitting on patio having a bloody mary overlooking the bay ;)

This place is great if you want to sit outside and enjoy the veiw. Or if karaōke is your thing. It is great for social get togethers and live music. Though, if you want food that is amazing or fast efficient service, not the place.

Stopped in for a cocktail on New Year’s Day while we waited for our table to be ready next door at The Galley. We aren’t really beer drinkers so we opted for dirty martinis. I wasn’t sure that was the smartest way to go based on what we saw going on around us, but honestly they were perfect. There was a live band playing while we were there. Not our usual taste, but I give a lot of credit to live musicians. They did a great job! We enjoyed our selves during our quick stay and felt totally welcome, even being a couple of city slickers :)

The food was awful! I didn’t even eat my $ 17 plate of tequila prawns. My husband said his fish and chips were the worst ever! The atmosphere was cool so it is getting one star, but the food was a disgrace! FYI– the tequila prefabs were overlooked and served in a heap of warm avocado, broccoli, carrots and mushrooms. So gross!!!

Call in a reservation. They’re under Reno right now so just the top patio was open. On Sunday’s they have unlimited mimosas til 12. Get there early enough to partake. If you like bloody Mary’s ask for the bacon one, everyone at my table had one and the raved big time. Ask for your salad with the dressing on the side. I had to ask for a second bowl of lettuce due to soooo much dressing. That being said, the blackened salmon was awesome! Well cooked! Customer service: definitely nothing special. And in fact it is why stars went from 4 to 3 for me. So many employees scattering about however I think they were trained to avoid eye contact. It was so tough to get anyone’s attention, our server included.

Friendlyish, sometimes slow, service, but prime location overlooking the bay on the embarcadero. Interesting food combos and drink concoctions. Not a bad place to try. There’s also karaōke(complete with disco ball) and occassional live bands. Sandwiches and breakfast are pretty yummy too. I’m giving special props to the fresh hot chips and curious salsa. The salsa tastes like marinara sauce with pico de gallo in it, does that sound gross? Well, it’s not! It’s actually fan-tas-tic!!! Burgers, soups and seafood are all pleasantly filling and satisfying. Nice place to go and watch the sunset or enjoy the wildlife swooping and swimming around the bay. CHEERS!!!
