It’s a very basic market; nothing fancy here. But the selection of produce is good and the prices are low. They make a reasonable effort, for a store so small, to cater to people looking for organic, gluten-free, and other types of specialty foods. The employees have always been friendly to me and provided good service. My two pain points with Cookie Crock are that they don’t carry any frozen shrimp that you can just thaw and dump in a salad without taking tails off, shelling, or cooking; and they have stopped carrying the delicious locally-produced Linn’s frozen pies and replaced them with yucky mass market brands.

Cute little store, but there’s no fresh seafood counter. There was limited seafood packaged. We had to go to a different store. I wanted to give then a chance, but we ended up having to go to Albertsons and spent a fortune on lobster and oysters.

Great local market that is SUPERCHEAP! Always stop here before camping to load up on supplies and boos at half the price of the big box chains. Best prices: ice at about $ 2.48 a bag & fire wood at $ 5 a bundle. Great service and good meat selection to. Never heard of this store anywhere else, but a wonderful morro bay gem.

This place makes me want to take a shower as soon as I leave. It just seems dirty in there. I find the selection to be poor, with a lot of ‘off’ brands. The place seems to cater to the low income crowd. Also, I thought plastic bags were banned, yet they will sell you a ‘recyclable’ plastic bag for ten or eleven cents, if you forget to bring your own bags. Why aren’t they providing PAPER bags for sale? The whole point of the law was to get rid of PLASTIC.

Great produce! Good prices too. Their meat section is sooo much better than Spencers Prices are better than Albertson’s on most stuff. The staff is very friendly and i always enjoy shopping here.

My first visit to a Cookie Crock Warehouse yesterday was disappointing. I was warned by someone who shops there on a regular basis that it would be comparable to a miniature version of Food 4 Less, and they were right. To me, the meat and produce departments speak volumes about a store. At Cookie Crock, I was disturbed to see off-color meats close to or at the expiration date and a depleted selection of produce. Maybe their delivery didn’t show up that day… who knows. Cookie Crock and Spencer’s Market are now officially off my list of go-to grocery stores. I’ll be taking my business to Albertson’s and making the drive into San Luis for the better prices, products and selections at Ralph’s and Vons.

With time’s the way they are I try and save everywhere. I stop in here once a week to see what the deals are. Some weeks are better than others but Cookie Crock Warehouse has some great rock bottom deals.
