This store price gouges and sells expired beers. anyone who wants to get quality craft beer at a good price should look elsewhere.

These people are complete hacks. They charge way too much for all their beers and bourbons. I recently went into the store because I had heard they were getting the latest version of Bourbon County Brand Stout(BCBS). BCBS is a highly sought after beer that is released once a year so with that comes high demands. A four pack of 12oz bottles retails for 26 – 28 dollars. When I walked into the store I walked around looking for BCBS and wasn’t able to find it. I then asked they guy behind the counter. He said, «I have.» Knowing the high demand for the beer and this stores reputation, I asked how much. I almost fell over when he told me, «100 Bucks.» He also told me he had the even rarer BCBS Vanilla and it was also 100 bucks for a 22oz bottle!!! These people are complete hacks doing business the wrong way, marking up items nearly 400% based on popularity so they can fill their pockets. I will travel far and wide before I spend one dime at Morro Bay Market and I strongly suggest you do the same. update: They guy behind the counter told my brother today that a 400% markup is nothing and that because of the rarity of this beer 17000% mark up would be more adequate and fair. I’m no math expert but offhand I believe that’s close to $ 500 for a four pack of beer that retails and sells nationwide at 28 dollars. This guy is pathetic.

Great selection and fair prices, particularly so given the size of the town.
