Waffle House

Waffle House restaurants are hit or miss but this location has been consistently a hit in my book. It’s not my favorite location but definitely a good one!

Super friendly staff bumped it up to 5 stars food was better than what you would expect from Waffle House and they were very conscious about my gluten allergy! :)

It is what it is. If you are fussy just skip it.

Normally I have nothing but good things to say about the Waffle House. Where else can you go to get some eggs and hashbrowns (scattered, smothered, and capped) at 2am? But this Waffle House surprised me. It looked like it had been a while since any tables had been cleared. Dirty dishes were everywhere (everywhere!), including the spot I took at the counter. And the nice lady who took my order hastily removed them once I sat down. The same lady confessed to me she wasn’t feeling well when she served my food (a chicken melt with the aforementioned hashbrowns), complaining about another employee who appeared to be on perpetual break, and then disappeared with that employee to the back room, presumably to argue about the work-​load.
My sandwich hit the spot after a hard night of watching Drum Corps regionals. The cook was the only one who seemed to have his act together. Yet I’m sure there’s not a whole lot he could do about the roaches…
