I have had my RDX for 9 years and all service work has been done here. Every service experience has been excellent. The scheduling is simple, staff professional and courteous.

my wife and I were just looking, no particular dealer in mind or car for that matter, we were previously looking at Lexus but ended up pulling into this dealership, thank god we did, the attention and customer service it took awhile but we ended up buying a new RDX, beautiful car for my wife’s birthday and anniversary gift. Our sales person was E. J and top scores for her performance and sales skills, also the finance manager D. J was a delight to deal with. we just went back for our key chains and floor mats and I met bob the service manager, very pleasant gentlemen, was very impressed with every aspect of these professionals, thank you all for a great experience, i also am in the service business and this service is what I thrive to accomplish, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great deal and a great car, (they even feed us bbq burgers) lol… deb and I appreciate you all… looking forward to our down the road relationship… GOD BLESS YOU ALL…

Came in here to look at a pre owned vehicle. I Had a trade in I owned virtually nothing on that was only 3 years old. They offered me 3k dollars for it even though it was worth almost 5x as much. They said something was wrong with the vehicle and they just couldn’t take the chance. I ended up taking it to the dealership it was still under warranty at only to spend 150 dollars for them to tell me there was nothing wrong. They are liars and will do anything to make a sale. This is the type of dealer that might do something to your car to get a better deal on is as a trade in. They didn’t know how to act when I told them I was offended. I would stay clear of this place at all costs.

went there for an oil change and ended up spending few more dollars for an extra few items but it was fine…
The problem that i have, i was told my car has a oil leak and to bring it back if i hear some loud noise. WHAT!.. car with 14 000 miles and under warranty and having oil leak… why not offer to fix it. so i went for a second opinion and i my car is NOT having any oil leak… shame of you guys for whatever you were trying to pull… WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT SHOP…

The idea of buying a car has somewhat become a nightmare after dealing with so many dealerships. We did our research on the vehicle we wanted. We also requested the best quotes via TrueCar, and sure enough we got a great quote from a dealership in Elmhurst/​Westmont area. The customer service at those particular dealerships were lacking and we felt like we were being played, and worst of all disrespected. I ended up emailing other dealerships with the quote we got, and McGrath Acura of Morton Grove called me personally to assure us that they would not only match the deal but also throw in numerous incentives (add up to close to 2,000 $).
We were treated with respect, and our request was honored unlike so many of the other dealerships. Rico and Ronnie were great, friendly, and courteous.
We are happy with our experience.

This was my first visit to McGrath in Morton grove. Great friendly people, got me in and out quickly and even washed my car for me! Great service!

Having a father who served in the US Army for 20+ years and having proudly served myself for 6 years in the Army, our family has relied upon USAA (a company for active duty military, veterans, and their families) for insurance, credit cards and loans. I was excited to find that they had a Car Buying Service which allowed me to get a great auto loan rate using one of their selected certified dealers. I secured a 1.75% auto loan and found a pre-​owned car I liked at McGrath Acura in Morton Grove. Living in Indiana, I rented a car to drive to Morton Grove in the hopes of driving home a car that day.
My wife and I had a confirmed appointment but when we arrived the manager was not there and wasn’t expected for the rest of the day. We were assigned to the newest member of the sales staff and after after a test drive we began negotiations. We obviously offered less than their advertised price. Their first offer was for the advertised price of the car plus a $ 899 leather protection package and concluded with a monthly payment of $ 398. When we asked what the rate and length of the loan were, neither of our sales associates had any idea. A sales manager then came over and we clearly explained to him our USAA financing including the rate, the amount financed and our planned down payment. He agreed we had a great rate and would see what he could do to match it. Their second offer came back with the same car price, 50% reduction in the leather package, which we already told him we did not want, and financing at 3.99% for 6 years. We told them we did not want the leather package and we were going to use our USAA financing. The third offer threw in the leather package for free but the financing was the same. After more than 2 hours of discussion, we talked to our 6^th member of the McGrath staff, the finance manager, who informed us that McGrath does not permit anyone to use outside financing. WHAT??? When we asked why we weren’t told this when we first mentioned our financing, the finance guy said he didn’t know and when we asked the sales people it was clear that they were unaware of the policy.
When asked about the USAA Car Buying Service and their dealership the finance manager rudely responded by saying that USAA meant nothing to him, that USAA wasn’t even on their list of lenders, and that we had to use their financing to purchase the car even if we agreed to pay the advertised price. Needless to say, we walked out of the dealership. We then drove to Muller Woodfield Acura after confirming that they took outside financing, We had a great experience there and left that day with the same car that we weren’t allowed to purchase at McGrath Acura of Morton Grove. So to all of you veterans out there looking to use the USAA Car Buy Service, and to anyone looking to use outside financing, avoid McGrath Acura like the plague. If I could, I would give them zero stars.

The sales staff and finance people that I encountered were dishonest. Watching them slither around the showroom was sickening to watch. While they pretended to «crunch the numbers», a slug from the service department came out to flirt with me and left a trail of slime behind him. Surreal experience.

McGrath Acura is an Acura dealership located off of Waukegan. They have a nice selection of new and pre-​owned vehicles, as well as a service department. My parents purchased a car from them recently, and the staff were patient, accommodating, and really discussed everything that they were looking for. Prices were extremely competitive, and the maintenance of all of their vehicles are immaculate. I’ve made the routine service check-​ups for them, and it is super easy — you can schedule the service via online or even by giving them a call — they are pretty good with adhering to your appointment times and value your time as a customer. Make sure you check their ‘Specials’ section, as they have coupons and deals.

Well this place was a waste of my time — I called ahead to make sure cars were available to be test-​driven. I was told yes — then when I was there they tell me about the recall — the one that makes NEARLY ALL their used TLs unsaleable and undrivable.
Mike the GM told me they only knew about the recall for a week and they still didn’t know how to share the news with customers… He got all defensive when I told him that he wasted my time — not even an apology.
Clearly frazzled and inexperienced staff and management. Wish I could have that hour of my life back.

Horrible experience dealing them in every step of the purchase. The sales person, sales manager, finance (really bad salesman), service. They all got it wrong when their turn came around. Either they all have individual challenges with honesty, commitment and follow through, or the culture of the McGrath organization is really the root cause. I would not recommend this dealership or the McGrath name to anyone.

There were some good salesman we dealt with here… Elson (sp?) was personable. as well as DJ. at the time.although.now that we bought a car from them. they NEVER return calls… they were supposed to submit a check to my previous bank for the trade in. its been more than a month and they still have not received it… I have been trying to find out the status but all calls go by unanswered.
Also, at the time of this review the General Manager was Mike S.(some guy with a Southern accent) he was VERY condesending and pompous. acted like he really cared to put us in a safe car and one we could afford but his manner was very off putting and just came across as feigned. he would use reverse psychology. and pretty much acted like we were idiots… i would probably not purchase a car from this dealership again nor recommend it to family/​friends.

I negotiated a price over the internet and came to the dealership expecting to finish a transaction in a few hours, but it turned out that they cannot deliver what they offered via email. First of all I want to point out that this was a brand new car where I specified exactly the package and configuration and I want and usually is an easy purchase since you go by the manufacture configuration.
So, after a short test drive we sat down and first thing they said that I have to pay over $ 1,000 for some extra accessories that the car has (paint protection, wheel locks, etc.) I said that in the email you said that you have the requested car in stock and I can buy it for $XXXXX. The answer was that yes, the car is $XXXXX, but we put these accessories on all our cars and you have to pay for them. Well, after five minutes discussion and negotiation we agreed on an additional $ 250 price for these accessories.
The next catch was that they offered me $ 4000 for my trade-​in. I showed them KBB and Edmund’s estimates of over $ 7,000 and kindly declined the offer.
And lastly, after they offered me 3.99% financing and I declined it because my credit union offered me 1.50% they said that the price they gave me via email was subject to getting a loan thru their financing department.
So I spent over an hour at this place and left it with no car…
They offer low price via email hoping that they can either up-​sell on accessories that people do not need, make extra money on the trade-​in, or make money on the financing kick-​back they get from a bank for higher than market interest.
Note that neither trade-​in, nor the financing was never mentioned in my email communication with them so they were not part of the deal.
I purchased a car at a different dealership the next day and had a completely opposite experience.

I’m not going to lie, I was very surprised with how helpful the reps were. I remember not having the best service a few years back, but I can see that they are really changing things around and making costumer service on the top of their list. I wasn’t quite sure with what car I wanted so they provided detailed information/​suggestions about the different models they had and what would suit my needs. When I wanted to check out other car brands, the GM at Acura, Mike S., made few phone calls so that someone at the other Mcgrath dealerships would greet me at the door. I’m happy to say that I drove off in one of their cars a few days later! I’m very satisfied.

Trade in 2013 RDX bought new because of the bad suspension and they can’t fix to RDX 2016 new.
This place has been taking care by two types of people. Idiot and dump. Typical bull$hit dumb sale person want to making money but doesnt know anything about their own parts. Sales manager just promise you everything but they’re not going to do or follow up. POS. I told Mr. T I will get 2016 if they remove my trailer hitch from 2014 and install back to new car. He said «yes». On my research 2016 it the same suspension but improve quality so I’m sure my hitch will fit perfectly fine. At the end, the technician won’t be able to install because third party part and they are not sure it’ll fit and they phucking lost parts from hitch. Asshole!!! Why don’t you make sure from the beginning before you make a promise. And these two cars basically the same dumb ass. These idiots can’t fix their own car and love to screw up again. They told me nicely to get the parts and they lost it at any hardware store. This dealer ran up to be a complete retard.

This location is very convenient for me and they have an excellent service dept. Which is why I’ve rated them 4 stars. Not too long ago, I brought my SUV here for an oil change but for some reason there was a big scratch on a side panel. Not to worry, they let me borrow a TL loaner and my vehicle was ready in about 3 days. You can’t beat that top notch service. So you see, it would be 3 stars without this attentive and friendly customer service because as much as we’ve tried, we just couldn’t buy a car here. We ended up going to other Acura dealerships because of better pricing. In fact, make sure to come with service coupons and if you don’t have them, Pauly Acura is considerably cheaper but you’ll have to make the long trip up to Highland Park. They also have free pastries first thing in the morning and a neat coffee/​green tea machine. I also enjoy using their free wifi while sitting in their comfy black, faux leather chairs — all while watching TV.

Too bad you cant give zero stars to a review. This place is unreal, I tried to return my end of lease vehicle today and they wouldn’t accept it because the ONE guy who knows how to process a lease return was out! Now they want me to set an appointment of course during the week which is also surreal as «don’t they know people work and that’s why we come to see car dealers on a Saturday!
My have to just leave the keys on the table and walk away!

I’ve purchased two Acura’s, a 2002 RSX and a 2007 MDX, over the past ten years from McGrath Acura Morton Grove. I started out going to McGrath Morton Grove because it was close to Skokie, where I lived when I first bought the RSX, even after moving into the city, and working in the loop, I service my MDX at McGrath. The customer treatment, and dedicated staff keeps me coming back for service.
On multiple occasions, the Service Department has gone above and beyond to ensure I have the most positive experience possible. A few examples include the dealership switching out my loaner with my car at my job in the Loop, this after coordinating my transportation to and from the dealership.
Bob Weber, the Service Manger has helped me on multiple occasions over the past 10 years, previously serving as a Service Advisor. Even on my most stressful of days, the kindness and effort of Bob and his staff provide is nothing but the highest service possible for its customer.
Thank you for all of your help and going out of your way, above and beyond to ensure I receive the highest quality of service, and in my opinion, beyond. More so, thank you for keeping my MDX driving like new.

The Wife and a I bought our new vehicle there 1.5 months ago. Everyone was so attentive during the sales process. 2 weeks later, I went in for a (free) car wash and service to get my remote starter keys programmed. The hospitality that had been previously shown was gone. They discarded our friendship and made me feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind. I took the liberty of downing three cups of complimentary coffee that had the same bitter taste that my experience with McGrath Acura had become.
Fast forward 3 more weeks, I took my car in for another wash and discovered that they switched their car wash detergent from soap to Dirt™. I left with a sateen-​soiled finish. What a waste of time.
