We are obsessed. Solid food. Excellent prices. The folks who work there are great. The curry shrimp and basil chicken work for me… And my sig other has pad thai obsession. Try it!(Use GrubHub — nice deals and coupons on there for this place!)

Delicious, and reasonably priced, I drive past several Asian restaurants just to get to Little Basil’s.

Always fresh food and prompt, friendly delivery. I judge all Chinese take out by the Singapore Mei Fun. This place has some of the best Mei Fun around.

Food normally decent, nothing special though. Tonight was exceptionally bad. Got boneless spare ribs and general tsos chicken. Ribs were like eating rocks and GT was soft and a little weird tasting. Called the store and response was sorry to hear that. I said i won’t be back again and she said ok. Delco needs some good chinese food. Please help!

3 stars is probably generous. The pork fried dumplings were decent as was the crispy duck(though the«crispy» could be debated). Pad Thai wasn’t bad either. But the General Tsao’s chicken(always a dubious choice) was bready and sticky. It was hard to chew. The Kung Pao chicken was swimming in gooey, sugary sauce. A big test of asian takeout for me is how much you’re looking forward to leftovers the next morning. I tossed everything but the Pad Thai out – everything else had congealed into an unappetizing mess.

I am sad to say i even considered ordering here and that i tipped them at all for the worst experience of asian food in awhile. My general tso’s was horrible and the pork fried rice was dry as paper its self. i was relieved to see a coupon for a free egg roll till it got here. All the egg rolls i had gotten were disguisting and the duck sauce was fowl as all heck i didnt even know what i was eating at this point. I honestly was putting a nice tip in the order for them to see a future customer but they ran off with my money before i even got to check it and bam. You know how that goes, my wifes food was absolutely rancid. Apparently it was«chicken lo mein* but it was soggy vegetables wrapped around noobles and the egg roll once again was paper disguisting and duck sauce was tasting expired same with other sauces. i enjoyed the crab rangoon for one second till i noticed the red sauce hadn’t even came in a amount suitable for me and my wife to enjoy. It was watered down and flavorless tasted like dyed water honestly i was so upset over this cause it was the only reason i ordered the food plus it was my birthday! this place is pitiful and probably has more cockroaches running around then anything in it so please heed my warning when i say DON’T GOTOLITTLEBASIL they are so nasty and if you really want it that quality get store bought chinese for less… sincerely a repeat customer of grubhub –Jake

Came here Xmas Day — partly motivated by the good reviews. I ordered their apple chicken, and duck with mushrooms & veggies. Both were pretty good, and unique. You wouldn’t expect something different like that in a small strip mall in small-town Morton. The prices aren’t bad, either. I’d go out of my way again to try some food from here. And this is pretty much a take — out place, there was only one table there, so it seems to be designed as a take out place.

I found this place while searching around on the Beyond Menu app for other Delco Chinese delivery options. I’m not too thrilled with the local choices. This one came up as an option. I’m so happy it did. I officially love the Apple Chicken. It’s a unique flavor, and one that you don’t see often. It’s a sign that they’re trying to be better than the norm. The staples that we love are all higher quality. From dumplings to egg rolls to wonton soup, I loved them all. The wife thought her chicken and broccoli was better than most in the area. This place is worthy.

RIPOFFONCOUPON: Every time I order food i use a coupon that this restaurant has, spend 20.00 and you get something free, well today i ordered it was 19.58 and I said add a 2 Liter bottle of diet Coke or Pepsi so I can use the coupon, well the lady said btw she is also the owner, said soda doesn’t count anymore pick something else, I said since when it always counted in the past plus it doesn’t say that anywhere on the menu. She said well it’s new. I said how about if I just cancel the order, she said okay so she lost a customer over $.42, Unbelievable than an owner would lose a customer over something like that that’s horrible customer service since she couldn’t figure it out I wasn’t going to tell her. BEWARNED that The owner is pulling tricks just to get you to buy more food to use the coupon! The food is very good it’s the way they treat a loyal customer over something so stupid and there’s no trying to explain anything to the owner because she things she is never wrong!

I’ve ordered a few times now using the Grub Hub app. Decent Asian fusion. Everyone recommends the pad Thai but I still haven’t tried it. I highly recommend the tempura shrimp though, haha. The egg rolls are pretty standard. Delivery is always fast too, except one time on a Saturday night and I’m assuming they were super busy; the food was still hot when it got to me so it was great!

I’ve ordered several things from here, and they’ve all been good. Their vegetables are always fresh, which is really appreciated. Their spicy dishes usually aren’t very spicy, the exception being the Tom Yam soup. So if you’re looking for some real heat, this might not do the trick. Overall a pretty good take out place.

Love this little Chinese restaurant – the owners are extremely pleasant and are willing to create off menu dishes if they have the ingredients. Price is average for Chinese take out and the food is similar to what was offered by the previous Chinese restaurant in the same place. I’ll admit I got dry rice a couple of times, though. Still a regular because I enjoy the sauces.

Honest to God, I vomited 30 minutes after eating here. I rarely give one star, but after eating a small portion of the chicken pad thai I had to call and ask why the noodles and chicken were so pink. She told me it wad the«ketchup»! Go Elsewhere..

I am travel a lot, and I mean a lot. I work in the airline industry and being on the go all the time means unfortunately I have to eat out a lot. I am in a hotel near the airport in Philadelphia and of the very limited options I have for food that delivers to the hotel, II chose this place because I was thinking this has to be the best option apart from pizza, Italian(When I’m good and don’t want to harm my digestive system, I’m gluen-free) diner food, or hotel food. So I order Thai Basil Chicken and I’m thinking this should be safe and I know what its supposed to taste like because I had a Thai roommate in college that cooked for me all the time. This tasted like greasy, flavorless, mystery meat«chicken» and guess what? There was not a leaf of Thai basil. At least the brown rice was cooked right… Ah that’s what rice cookers are for. I have found that the average American palate is very desensitized when it comes to good Asian cuisine because most have not tasted the real deal. I have and it actually insults me when I am served subpar food perhaps with the assumption that I don’t know better anyway. Well I do know better but today I paid my money to pour my food down the toilet. I guess next time the airplane food will be a better choice. I gave 2 stars cause the rice was perfectly cooked.

We were really excited to try Little Basil but unfortunately it wasn’t what we expected. We ordered wonton soup(flavorless broth and thin, soggy wontons) with(super greasy, flavorless) crispy noodles, steamed vegetable dumplings(GREEN weird tasting dough filled with odd tasting stuff), scallion pancakes(too thick and too greasy plus undercooked), Pork fried rice(looked like white rice with some pork and veggies thrown in and not very flavorful), orange chicken(not spicy at all, chicken not crispy and was basically the sweet and sour type of chicken all soggy in the«orange» sauce which tasted nothing like orange), sesame chicken(exactly like the«orange» chicken except had some sesame seeds thrown on) — extra spicy(not spicy at all) and chicken lettuce wraps(filling was very good, but not enough lettuce and what we did get were tiny). For about $ 40 we got a ton of food, but the only thing we thought was good were the lettuce wraps. It’s a shame. We were looking for our new«go to» Chinese restaurant, but we won’t be trying it again.

Little Basil is close to where I live, and it’s very convenient when I have a hankering for Chinese Take-Out. The menu is inexpensive, and most of the food is great. We love the lettuce wraps, steamed pork dumplings, and wonton soup for starters. Last time we ordered i had the Chicken Lo Mein, which was passable, but not the best I’ve had, but my boyfriend got the Pineapple Pork and it was absolutely delicious. They have a deal that when you spend $ 10, you get 2 free egg rolls, so we always do that as well. The egg rolls are decent(for free they’re damn good). I would recommend Little Basil to others who are in the mood for good Chinese take-out.

Little Basil is the PREMIER location for Chinese food near Swarthmore. They beat out all the other competition(Cheng Hing, Happy Wok, etc.) without question. While they are marginally more pricey($ 1.25 delivery fee, dishes are $ 0.50-$ 1.00 more)… Let me just say, dinner box. $ 7.25 for a popular entrée, white/fried rice, wonton soup/eggroll/soda. This is a ridiculous business model but while it lasts TAKEADVANTAGE! The portions are generous, the food is fresh, the veggies are fresh(this is incredibly rare for a takeout place), and the delivery is PUNCTUAL(they average 20min for Swarthmore, even though they’re in Morton, and they’re open until 11:30pm on weekends). The delivery guys have been awesome, especially Peter who speaks Korean and is an amazing chef. General Tso’s, chicken with broccoli, honolulu chicken, all amazing choices(they also offer Thai options like Pad Thai). I order from this place out of loyalty and respect for their high standards. Couldn’t go back to anything else. Exactly what I’m craving now.
