I have found Mathews cleaners to be very competent and reliable. What more can you ask for from a dry cleaner. I’ve also gotten things hemmed here very well. They’re great and I’ve used them for countless years.

I’ve been going to Matthews for 12 years. It’s the best. When I first moved to the area, I chose it after pricing out various other dry cleaners. Matthews had the best prices on shirts. I’ve stayed because they’ve done a wonderful job with all my cleaning AND my alterations! More than anything I love them for their honesty. I have brought in shirts with a hole in the sleeve(that I didn’t notice). They didn’t clean the shirt and but rather let me know about the hole first. My husband is notorious for leaving stuff in his pockets. We have been returned hundreds of dollars and key tags to his office. I brought prom dress in to be hemmed a small amount and they came up with an alternative of adjusting the straps. They let us know that the hem could not look the same and the other way would save us money. Matthews Cleaners are the best!

OK, so I am going to start this little off by stating that having just done a bit of business with Matthew’s Cleaners this morning, I currently have a bone to pick with them, but let’s get the positive out there first. As far as dry cleaning goes, they are quite good. Turn-around time for shirts is usually about 1 – 2 days, and suits about 3 – 4 days. They are also very accommodating about one day turn-around if I’ve ever needed it, and at no extra cost. Prices are the norm as well: $ 1.50 for a shirts, $ 5.50-$ 11 for everything else, depending on how many pieces. Now for the negative. So Matthew’s advertises tailoring and alterations, as most dry cleaners, and everyone told me how good they were. Let me just correct this… they blow. This morning I picked up a suit jacket that that had a slight roll across the back. The only thing needed was about an inch of fabric removed, but this seemed to be too monumental a task to be done correctly. Sure enough, I get the jacket home, the roll is still there… definitely not the way to keep me as a customer, especially when you are charging $ 12 for the alteration that you may or may not have even done. So if you have just dry cleaning, go with Matthew’s, but any alteration should probably be taken to a place that specializes in that alone. Looks like I am going to be making a trip to Men’s Wearhouse… ugh!
