I am duke of this establishment, a title that I’ll not easily relinquish. I’m already saving my grease and cooking oil, to fill a vat and stand on the roof in preparation of defending my territory. I will not go quietly. I know what you are thinking. Why viciously defend a f%#+*¥ laundromat? Screw you! I’m old and weak and I have to start small! Don’t judge me! This place is a few blocks from my house and is very convenient. We own a washer but when our dryer broke over a year ago, found it pretty cheap just to use Morton. The prices are competative with other places I’ve been to and it’s usually clean with ample dryers. My only complaint is the lack of a good area to fold my wash but it’s pretty moot because I live so close I usually just take it home. My only other complaint is that neither the attendants or the machines show me the proper respect as their duke! An insolent machine ate my quarter, as if I were a commoner! The attendant pretended that she never heard of a Duke, when she tried tp make me leave when I showed up pantsless! They also took down my oil painted portrait that I hung up on a prominent wall. Some people just don’t know how to deal with royalty. That said, I think I’m a pretty gracious ruler. I already have designs to annex more areas in Folsom. Clerks at the Folsom Gamestop are starting to get wise, I think it’s time to make my move…

I came here last night based on Chrissy’s review; between not being completely caught up on laundry before moving and not knowing which boxes have which outfits in them, we had to make an emergency laundry trip last night. It’s a laundromat. I don’t know what there is to really say, lol. I can see it getting totally busy during the day/early evening, but we’re all about doing laundry at midnight, so it was completely dead inside when we showed up. Morton Laundry Mat is way cleaner and has more functional change machines than most of the city laundromats I’ve visited, but has no sink(which sucks when you’ve inevitably spilled a little laundry detergent on your hand). I’ll definitely stick with Morton Laundry Mat until we get a washer & dryer at our new place and just try to remember to be more careful next time.

If you need to do your laundry at 230 in the morning or make a shady deal on a well — lit public phone this is the spot to do this in. This is under relatively new ownership. They’ve replaced the glass that had little pellet gun holes through it so you feel slightly safer doing your laundry. They’ve also given up on having business hours despite being able to get in 24⁄7 and just made it a 24./7 kind of spot. Well convenient. They’ve added new machines and a fluff and fold service. If it wouldn’t cost me 10 dollars round trip on the r3 to get back and forth from here, this is where I’d totally do my laundry. at 4 am. while dodging air rifle pellets.
