Enjoying sipping on a crisp cider at Rack & Cloth in the adorable town of Mosier. Can’t think of a better way to spend this anniversary with my love.

This place is fantastic! Great patio, fast service, good beer and the pizza is bomb!!! My only addition would be a slightly(just one or two) more pizza flavors. Patio 10 of 10

I’m from NYC, and I also lived in Italy for three years, so to say I’m a pizza snob is a bit of an understatement. The pizza I just ate at Rack & Cloth was sublime! As was the peach bruschetta, which actually is more of a carpaccio: thinly sliced white peaches drizzled with the perfect amount of balsamic and olive oil, and topped with goat cheese. Delicious. The pomme pomme cider was definitely one of the better American ciders I’ve had. So happy we found this place!

Straight from the farm… literally. This food is absolutely the best in the whole Gorge!

Maybe it was the fact that I jogged 5 miles(give or take) from Hood River to get here, but this place is awesome. The menu, listed on the wall behind the counter, has few items; however, each item was intriguing and everything we ordered was delicioius. We started with peach bruschetta. So simple, yet full of flavor. Rather than bread, the chef used thinly sliced peaches topped with a bit of goat cheese and a drizzle of balsamic. The juice from the peach was refreshing and the flavors blended well. For our main course, we tried the a pizza topped with apricots, gorgonzola, and salami with a balsamic reduction. This was a flavor explosion. on a thin and light crust. Cooked perfectly, the cheese wasn’t burned, but not too stringy, the apricots were slightly browned. And there was just the right amount of salami keeping the meat from overpowering other flavors. The crush was crisp, but not hard and retained a little texture from the cornmeal used for baking. The pizza paired beautifully with Pfrieme’s blonde IPA. The space is charming and comfortable both inside and out. Service was friendly and timely. Rack & Cloth is the place to go at the end of the trail in Mozier. I expect this place to be packed when I return next.

Not typically a fan of hard cider, but I was impressed with what this establishment had to offer. Their cider is of a much higher quality then the standard fare found in bottles at stores, furthermore their food was both healthy and quite delicious. It is also worth noting that both the business owners and the crowd were all friendly and generally pleasant to be around. So if you find your self passing through Mosier I recommend you stop by and give it a try.

We discovered the Rack & Cloth in Mosier, a few miles east of Hood River along the Columbia River Gorge. This place rocks! Charming old house turned into a café & pub with indoor seating, outdoor patio and porch. Splendid views of the Gorge. It’s kick back! Meet Christiana(owner /farmer) of 10 acres using organic practices for ingredients in her soups, sandwiches, salads and pizza. Christina grows veggies and runs the café. Cool! Her fiancé, Silas, is the Apple man. Silas makes hard ciders that you have to try. Like, an organic cider called Stony Pig which is 6.9% ABV and won the People’s choice award at the Hood River cider fest. It’s a good time to get in touch with people who love farming and a passion for comfort food and cider – and 6 microbrews on tap. It’s also a good time to get out of town, drive out into the Gorge, check out the scene and then finish the day here at the Rack & Cloth! Get into the local character here because this place is Hoppin with locals and and out-of-towners. It’s fun. Rack up this review! We came, we saw, we drank but already grubbed-out! We are coming back and WEARE coming back and BACK!

We were in town for the Mosier Sunday Farmer’s Market and decided to grab dinner after our jaunt in the market. I’m glad we decided to stop in. I recognized the name from the Gorge Magazine’s listing of cideries. Neither of us drink, but they do offer farm-to-table meals. Today’s menu was simple: a soup, salad, hummus plate and 2 pizzas. We decided to go with the salad and a pizza. The salad was made with purslane, a succulent some consider to be a weed, but it was pretty delicious. It had a light dressing and fresh ground pepper topping it. The pizza was a Summer Squash, Squash Blossom, Onion and mozzarella cheese pie. That, too, was delicious. I decided to take a peek in their produce market while we waited. They had a simple selection of produce and a cold case with non-alcoholic selections(various fancy sodas — Fentiman’s, Mexican Coke, and a semi-local Steelhead Root Beer, which I decided to grab.) If they put as much attention into their cider as they do the other parts of their business, I would imagine it is just as good. So far, this has been our favorite spot in all of the Columbia River Gorge/Hood River Valley; rack And Cloth is what we were expecting all of our meals and eateries to be like. Do yourself a favor and skip the brewpubs of Hood River and give these guys a visit.
