Instead of traveling to Italy or France, drive an hour or so east of Portland to Three Sleeps B&B. We’ve stayed there five times, and each was memorable. Leaving I-84, you go through little Mosier and wind your way up the orchard-covered hills to a private lane which borders one of the Dominio IV vineyards and ends at the beautiful B&B. Liz and Glen greet you at the door, show you to your view suite, and invite you to join them for a 5 p.m. glass of their family’s superb wine. You may request their dining and activity recommendations, or you may simply bask in the stunning peace of the place, situated at the top of a most picturesque, quiet valley. The accommodations are private, tasteful, and especially comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and ample to start your day of exploring the area(Columbia Gorge hikes, Hood River shops, biking the Old Gorge Highway) or just relaxing on the patio and walking through the vineyard. In addition to being very hospitable innkeepers, Liz and Glen are delightful people who are most welcoming and simultaneously unobtrusive. Each time we leave, we promise ourselves to check our calendars and schedule another visit. Highly recommended!

Évaluation du lieu : 5 Portland, OR
This place is simply divine. Glen and Liz are the owners and you are guests in their rooms in the basement of a magnificent house overlooking the vineyards and hills of Mosier. Imagine a Tuscan countryside: that’s the idea. It is an incredibly relaxing place immersed in the magnificent nature of the Gorge. There are wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds, finches and frogs. Perfect for a getaway from the busy, bustling city life. It’s only about a 20-minute drive from Hood River, so anything you are hoping to accomplish there is easily within reach. The rooms themselves are elegant. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. The bathrooms are really nice and the beds are very comfortable. There just two rooms. Each room has its own bathroom. Coffee and tea are available just outside your door 24 hours per day. The breakfast is tremendous. They are very accommodating of dietary restrictions. We requested vegetarian foods and we were not let down. Fresh fruit salad, yogurt and french toast one morning and an caramelized onion and egg dish paired with a baked peach drizzled with fresh blueberry sauce and yogurt on the other morning… oh and of course, fresh-baked blueberry scones. De-licious. Glen and Liz eat with you as well, which gives you ample opportunity to pick their brains about the local attractions of the Hood River-area. So much fun! Can’t wait to go back.
