There I was in the middle of an icy winter night, my face and hands smashed against Max & Ollie’s Vintage Boutique’s window. It was late and they were closed, but I stood spellbound, the fact that I just was freezing my arse off forgotten. I felt like a boozy version of Ralphie from A Christmas Story, except instead of an Official Red Ryder 200 Shot Carbine-​Action Range Model Air Rifle beckoning from the other side of the windows, there were a thousand wonderful vintage treasures, the likes of which left me agape!
Glassware, furniture, clothing, and all manner of treasures from bygone eras abound here. The owner has excellent taste. She sniffs out unique gems with charm and personality, and presents them in fun and unexpected ways. It’s a good sized space too, full of great finds without being snotty and overpriced. So far, I’ve scored some cute anthropomorphic kitchen goodies and a fab apple green display/baker’s cabinet thingy.
Had I deeper pockets and shorter work hours, this girl would be in serious trouble!
An easy 5 stars here. Wonderful!
