An old tried and ture favorite, HOWEVER, we noticed a change is ownership notice on the door. Unfortunately, I noticed several changes right off., none to the good. Cold food, inferior dishes and unfreindly staff. We will try again, but they will need to step up, to get us to step in, in the future.

It was just barely OK. Food was not tasty and fresh. Restaurant opened 30 mins ago but we had to wait another 20 mins before they put food out. We were the only people there and it seems that way for a reason. I don’t think I could recomend this place to anyone.

They used to be good. The last few times ive gone for Dinner at 6 the food at buffet looks and tastes like it was put out at noon.

It just keeps getting worse and worse. Nothing like the original owners! Its a shame! They need to start putting out quality food again!

It was 7pm on a Saturday night and we were the only car in the lot. My daddy always used to tell me that was a real bad sign. first of all, the people there are very nice. I wish I had something better to say but I don’t. First, the big things: from the taste, looks, texture and temperature I would guess the food had been sitting under the warming lights for 2+ hours. A few things were OK __the sushi and the crab Rangoon and a couple of other things. But the staples of a good Chinese buffet were just not very good. The shrimp were so overcooked — both boiled and fried — that they resembled rubber more than shrimp. Seriously. Finally, the small stuff: the crackers were terribly stale. even the fortune cookies were stale. There were no containers for the sauces. Maybe my biggest disappointment was the lack of oysters on the half shell or crab legs. Other reviewers indicated they did have them and I was really looking forward to them. No luck. I asked about them and was told they were only available during specific seasons. Strange that oyster houses just down the street seem to have plenty. There is a Chinese buffet called Ichiban just up the road in Leesburg — just a few miles but a world of difference. Wasabi = big disappointment.

My wife and I are suckers for Chinese Buffet and bigger suckers for one with Sushi in it. HOWEVER we will walk out of a place if they are not clean. With that, I recommend Wasabi for sure especially if you live in the Mount Dora, Leesburg area. It has a great atmosphere and its clean and the selection of food is spot on. Sushi, steak on the buffet and all your other assortments there as well, looked and taste good. If your passing through Lake County on 441 and get a hankering for Chinese buffet then definitely check it out. We’ll be back.

we decided to stop here for lunch(and we had a coupon that gave a ½ off second meal with purchase of 2 drinks — more on that later) the décor was nice(though they should hide the soda cooler behind the sushi stand) not thrilling but nice the food — meh — maybe I am jaded from being from the SF bay area but this was some of the worst Asian food I have had in a long long time. most of the hot dishes tasted the same. the only bright spot was the bbq ribs it did not appear that fresh food was brought out that often even though the restaurant was pretty busy Before we were seated we told our waitress that we had a coupon — then when we went to pay we were presented the coupon, they charged us the full price. We pointed this out to the waitron and she started to argue with us over it. After about 7 minutes we were presented the correct bill. wont be back — sorry

Not worth the price. Very skimpy portions available. $ 11.99 dinner not including drink.

Came in for lunch … $ 7.49 for a lunch buffet is a pretty good deal. There was a good assortment of sushi, however there was not much in terms of the Chinese food options I felt. Also, there was not much turnaround with fresh food on the buffet. Once something was out, it was not refilled.

Not bad for a buffet. My family really enjoys it. And I can eat a ton of sushi for cheap. The pink lady roll is way good if you like krab, and I do.

It wasn’t awful. Some of the foods were really good but others were less than satisfactory. Many of the items were very dry or rock hard leading me to believe they sat out for a long time. My husband said the sushi was amazing especially for a buffet. When the check came I felt it was very overpriced for what it was. Three small buffets, one being entirely desert. It wasn’t awful but we won’t be returning.

This is by far, one of the best Chinese buffets we have been to. I understand that it changed owners around Sept or Oct 2013, but I assure you the service & quality are still there. The food is kept fresh & hot. We went for dinner and they have a lot of seafood items. Variety of shrimp, crab legs, raw oysters, muscles etc. all of it very fresh. Restaurant is always clean and service is excellent.

This is your typical Japanese, Chinese, American buffet. The variety was good and everything was hot. The people were friendly and helpful. One of our favorite things that they always have is frog legs. We got there about 8PM and they had put out their last batch so we didn’t have many to choose from. We will make sure to go earlier next time.

This place is consistently good. The food is always fresh. The quality is better than other chinese buffets I have tried. They have an excellent sushi bar for a buffet. The prices are low. I always like eating here.

This place is amazing! The best Chinese BBQ ribs I have ever had! I love all the food here and its a great place to go whenever you want a different variety of food. Awesome on my wallet too! I wish I lived in Florida, because I would go here everyday.

I’m not big on buffets. Usually my husband has to drag me kicking and screaming to them on his birthday or other special occasions. Wasabi Buffet was a pleasant surprise. The food was a higher standard and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was clean and very well taken care of. Price was a little high, but in this case I didn’t have a problem paying. You pay for what you get and I got a topnotch buffet experience.

This is my favorite Chinese buffet around. I’ve always enjoyed it. The food is fresh and the selection is – I believe – a little better than most others in the Tri-County area. There are a few dishes I’ve rarely seen at other buffets around, and it’s always presented well. They also have a significantly larger sushi bar than other places I’ve seen. The staff is sweet and does a fine job, and the décor is nice and cozy and very clean. I’ve been in one too many Chinese buffets where the inside was outdated and dirty, but I’ve never had a problem at this one; from what I’ve always seen, it’s extremely clean, well-maintained and modern. The customer base is better than other buffets, often filled with the morbidly obese shamelessly exploiting the all-you-can-eat slogan by eating plate after plate of crab legs, slobbering all over the table, their stubby fingers dripping with butter sauce. Disgusting. Ummmm… anyway, I’ve never seen anything of the sort at Wasabi. The last time I was going to go there, however, the place was filled with emergency vehicles, diners were being rushed out, and servers were outside talking on cell phones. I have no idea what happened(Fire? Medical issue?), so I wasn’t able to go in; hopefully it wasn’t anything major.

I’m usually pretty skeptical about sushi at a buffet — meaning I don’t eat it, but it’s different a Wasabi. The sushi chefs make the rolls where you can see them and the sushi is pretty tasty. In addition to sushi, you will find all the usual suspects of an Asian buffet including sweet and sour chicken, beef with broccoli, fried rice, lo mien, salad a decent array of desserts and a few flavors of ice cream, including mint chip. The staff is always friendly and quick to refill drinks. It’s very kid friendly and depending on the age of the child you are charged a different amount. I would recommend lunch over dinner, the only difference is lunch is missing crab legs, which aren’t the best and pretty rubbery. Lunch is much more affordable.
