The staff was super nice! The subs were nice and hot. The fries were awesome! Anything over a 6 inch sub starts getting pricey. Lunch for three of us, including 3 drinks and 2 cookies, was $ 42. Overall — good experience.

Fresh hot and delicious. The food here is made to order but doesn’t take any longer than a typical fast food restaurant. You are missing out if you haven’t been here yet.

Love find new subs to try. On my first trip to this location I was with someone who had already been there and knew my kind of sub. So I had them order for me. Good thing or I would have had a sub the size to feed a small family. Wow the amount of fries is huge. Along with others I agree the space is tight for customers to go to the restrooms and drink station. And if the place is packed. Your eating with someone’s backside to close to your face for my comfort. I’ll go back I liked the sub and fries, but I will get the order to go and drive up to Charlie Daniels Park and have a picnic in an open space. A drive thru would be a great addition to the next P’S should they build more. At least lease a larger space for diners that need to eat inside.

Poor customer service! Office ordered lunch today and we were missing several orders of fries. I called and politely asked about a refund for the fries and the shift leader argues with me about fries being in the bag.

I love Penn Station. However, this location’s employees are a pitiful excuse for customer service. They close at 10pm and when we went in to their location at 9:10pm they informed us they were out of fries. Despite the full bin of potatoes behind them and that part of the allure is that they cook fresh cut fries. Right? I understand the food industry and late night customers can be annoying. BUT you are open until 10pm. Seriously disappointed in Penn Station right now.

When I first heard that Mt Juliet would be welcoming another sandwich shop I had scratch my head and wonder what business owner, in their right mind, would move here when there are a substantial number of sandwich shops in the area. Quiznos, Subway, Which Wich, Publix(now my second favorite sandwich in the area — but more on that later), and Firehouse subs come to mind. I personally believe that the franchisee who opened the new Subway across the street last year got a rude awaking after week one — There are just too many choices here with a limited audience. But to my pleasant surprise — Penn Station East Coast Subs(PS) actually does things that no other local shop does — and they do it well. The place is pretty small and that pretty much makes up all that I dislike about PS. The entry and ordering is awkwardly tight as I take two baby steps away from the wall and attempt to read at close range. Walking up and down the place is like getting to the bathroom on a plane that only has one restroom working — it’s very uncomfortable to walk sideways and you know you’re going to hit someone on the way up. Just another 4 feet of space to the wall would have made the space a little more accommodating. Aside from that, everything else is pretty awesome here…(well, not counting the Pepsi fountain). I’ve been here half a dozen times since they’ve opened and have found the staff to be exceptionally attentive and kind. So much so that one of the cooks had to tell the cashier to tone down the happiness factor a couple of notches(I say be yourself man!). The things that make PS so unique are the freshly cooked subs and the deliciously awesome french fries that are hand-cut and fried to order(in peanut oil). French fries is an odd pairing for a sandwich shop in this day and age but I think the fact that PS is actually buying raw potatoes and taking the time to prepare them from scratch really says a lot about a place. I would make the trip to PS just for the fries. Seriously, the fries are F*****G’ fantastic(FFF). Now let me take you down the story of my 5 stars… I tried the Philly cheese steak a few weeks ago and found it to be a little less than a truly authentic Philly. I don’t think that the banana peppers should be anywhere near the sandwich and I thought the meat was lacking in volume. Just a few days later I developed the money shot… No banana peppers, extra meat(just over a buck extra) and the only thing missing was the Liberty Bell! Damn, it was that good! Crusty artisan bread and stinky cheese to boot. So getting back to my sandwich rankings… I absolutely love Which Wich as my number 2 choice in Mt Juliet for sandwiches only after recently discovering the sandwiches at Publix Deli as a great value with quality meats, fresh bread, and low prices It is… WAS… my favorite sandwich spot until Penn Station showed up. Aside from the lack of elbow room and the Pepsi products PS is spot on when it comes to a good sammich. PS may be a little pricey for the everyday meal but let me tell you, the fries rock and getting a quality sub is a nice treat every once in a while. Did I mention that the fries were really good? Without a doubt Penn Station is now my number 1 sandwich shop in the area and I highly recommend the trip.

Being from Philadelphia, it is real hard to find A restaurants that serves cheese steak sandwiches thats even come close to the ones in Philadelphia. The rolls an important part, and the flavor of the meat was right on. The place is clean, owner came out introduced himself which is important to me, that they show and appreciate the customer, all of the employee were friendly and smiling, and looked like they liked working here. Portions being that when I left I was not still hungry going out the door!
