Nail Tech

Overpriced for mediocre quality. Staff is incredibly friendly.

I used to go to Nail Tech off route 73 for years, literally. The last time I went, I was fuming angry with the job they did. They overcharged me, left clearly lifting acrylic nails on my fingers (and looked like something was growing underneath — ew) and even charged me for «cutting my nails down» when all the woman (owner, I believe) did was file across once. I keep my nails pretty short, so trust me, it wasn’t anything big. Not only that, she took FOREVER to complete the job.
A time before that I tried to get an underarm wax. I asked her if the hair was long enough, she said yes. It wasn’t (especially for the cheapo wax they use) and, instead of just stopping, she proceeded to try plucking all the hair out with tweezers! I didn’t even know how to stop her. Finally I asked «Was it not long enough after all?» She said it wasn’t and told me she wouldn’t charge me… wow, I would hope not! My armpit was sore for a couple days after.
Just seems like 3 or 4 people work there now (including the owner and her husband) and the service has gone way down. There was a point when they were good back in the day, hence why I’m giving them 2 stars, though I refuse to go back and I’ve told others I wouldn’t recommend it.
