I purchased a coffee table from Encore Interiors in Mount Pleasant, SC on March 10, 2016 for $ 439.42 with tax. The workers there loaded it into my Hyundai Sonata and I drove it back to my home on Johns Island, SC. Upon further inspection, I noticed a black spot, similar to tar or grease, about one inch in diameter near the corner of the table. I used a clean cloth baby diaper to rub the spot which removed the black but also removed any finish down to the wood. There were also waxy streaks in other areas of the table. Amey, the owner, had her husband pick up the table up at my home on Friday, April 8th. After more than two weeks, Amey eventually returned my call. She indicated that she would get to repairing the table but was not sure when she could do it. Amey sent me a text this morning with the following message: «Good morning, this is Amey with Encore. We have a clearly posted All Sales are Final policy at the store but Because I was the one that painted the table I decided to do the right thing and pick up to fix it, if in fact there was a flaw in the finish. Upon inspection the finish on the top has been completely rubbed off which is not a flaw and have attached a picture of the table before you bought it.(there was no picture attached and it took more than two weeks for her to make this determination). Based on these circumstances, I’m going to make the call that the table was damaged while in your possession and not in Fact a probelm with the finish. Therefore I will not be repainting the table for you. We will hold the table for our standard 5 days in the warehouse so that you can come pick it up.» I then informed Amey that I was filing a billing dispute with my credit card company. Her next text to me was«You are welcome to come get your me merchandise as I stated before. We are not holding your items from you. If you choose to not come get it that is on you.» Don’t get me wrong — Amey has great(albeit expensive and triple the price online) home décor which is why I paid the price for this table, however, I cannot agree with her unethical business practices. I am kind of bummed since I am new to Charleston that I will not be able to do business with her or Encore in the future nor recommend the store to my friends and family.

Oh to decorate a house with only finds from Encore, every would be designers dream! I spent the better part of the day here and came home with a fabulous kitchen table and 2 chairs for our dining alcove. Caron, Robin, and David were all such a big help and moved enough furniture for me to figure out the perfect match. Now I can’t wait to buy a bigger house in order to finish furnishing other rooms with great finds at Encore! I love the mixture of high/low that really pulls a room together rather than having it look like it’s a hotel room. Thanks guys, signed«The Coaster Lady»! ;)

What a place! I spent almost 2 hrs here! So much to see it take two trips around the store. Gigantic pieces of home décor with all ranges of prices. Def something for everyone. One tip. Allow at least an hour or longer when planning a trip to this store!
