Better than expected. Great service, food tasted great except for hot and sour soup which I usually love, wasn’t up to par. Everything else was really good.

Scott the manager went way beyond our expectations. My wife is gluten, dairy sauce free allergies and he took the time to get the recipe book and look up all the ingredients, talked to the chef and waitor to insure she received a wonderful dinner. I love PF and glad we were able to return. Me I eat anything and had the kung po which was great. Service was excellent

This is the first time I’ve been to pf changs at this location. I called ahead and placed a reservation(not needed but i hate waiting) and we ended up getting there early so they seated us anyway. That was very nice. We got to the table and were immediately greeted. Always a plus sign. We started with the chicken lettuce wraps. They were good but the lettuce was a little too watery from rinsing. I asked the waiter what he recommended and that i was in the mood for shrimp. He chose the walnut shrimp and melon. I went ahead with his dish and WOW im glad i did. This dish was absolutely unbelievable. Perfect portion and the flavors were amazing. We wanted to stay longer so ordered dessert(the chai apple cobbler) … i didnt realize we would wait 20 minutes to get it. Waiter kept coming to apologize but still. We got it and it wasnt the best but it wasnt awful either. They ended up taking it off our bill for the wait. All in all our experience was good. Im giving this place 4 stars for their attentiveness, my waiters recommendation which was again AMAZING, and the atmosphere which was very cozy and nice considering the awful weather outside. Will definitely return despite the few hiccups.

I ordered the chicken lo mein, I felt like I should have ordered any thing other than a typical Chinese dish, I was amazingly surprised how much flavor came from this dish! The noodles were light and delicious! The service was great and the restaurant was clean as a whistle! Great job

I used to love P.F. Chang’s, but my last experience was horrible. We did a to-go order and realized everything tasted old and the portions were extremely small. My favorite 2 dishes are the chicken lettuce wraps and the mongolian beef. The chicken lettuce wraps was old and overcooked and the serving size was for only 1 person. The mongolian beef was tough and salty and again the portion size was very small. We also ordered the chicken lo mein and again it tasted old and was extremely salty. The only fresh thing in our order was the lettuce cups. For $ 52, I say we were ripped off. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they have become over-rated, over-priced, and simply not good anymore. I’d rather go to a hole in the wall chinese take-out restaurant than go back there! I wish there was an option for no stars, because they don’t even deserve a star. Good riddance and congratulations, P.F. Chang’s, you’ve lost another customer!

Solid asain cuisine. I personally love the BBQ Ribs. Sounds wierd getting BBQ ribs at an Asian resteraunt but try it and you wont be dusappointed.

Love the atmosphere. Service is always good. Food is amazing! Only had one time where I sent the food back, but they were completely accommodating. They cooked it again(tasted great!) and took it off my check. Thank you! See you soon!

Brother’s wedding weekend was derailed by Hurricane Joaquin and flooding. His choice rehearsal dinner venue couldn’t be reached and this P.F. Chang’s stepped up in a pinch to offer a classy and lovely affair. So cheers to your flexibility, willingness, and hospitality. We are forever grateful.

I love pf changs. I never had it until It hit the charleston area. I do feel that he food is over priced, but overall great. They have changed the menu since the last Time I have been there. Seems like there is tons more options to choose from. Overall a four star. The atmosphere is fun. And the food always taste good.

Ok. Service is decent. Now, this is the 2nd time my husband and I have gotten food poisoning from this place. We haven’t been there in over a year because of the 1st time. We were there Saturday night, I asked for a to go box for my meal. Yesterday(sunday) I attempt to dig into my dinner, I’m looking at the beef, it has mold growing in it. It was a bluish, greenish color. I looked it up to make sure I want crazy, sure enough, same exact thing. Pay attention to what you are serving your customers, or eventually, you will be out of business.

Meh… Not any better than my local chinese take-out back home. Definitely not bad, and great service but not worth the hype. If you’re near the Isle of Palms, don’t waste a night/meal of your vacation. Go get some good seafood instead!

Not a huge fan of chain-type places like this, but we went for happy hour with some friends and it was good. Service was fine and the place was comfortable. We sat at some high-tops in the bar area. Happy hour prices were very good. 4 drinks for 2 of us, 3 appetizers and a generous tip came to $ 50. Again, wouldn’t seek out a chain restaurant, but would go to happy hour again with a group.

C’mon, guys — it’s a P.F. Chang’s for God’s sake! It’s not like we’re reinventing the wheel here. I have been to enough of them to know they are not the quintessence of Chinese cuisine but they are usually pretty good. Not here, however. Crispy Honey Chicken: mushy. Tuna somethingorother: mushy. Firecracker Shrimp: tasteless. «Signature» Chicken Lettuce Wraps: tasteless PLUS mushy… and the lettuce was wet. And the coup de grace was that everything arrived nearly cold. As they say in Shanghai…“Fuggeddaboutit!”

I wish I could give 3.5 as a rating. The ambience counts for something, and this is a well-designed restaurant. But we go to restaurants for the food(mostly). This is where I find P F Chang’s Mount Pleasant just a bit weak. It’s good, yes, but not outstanding. Obviously quality and taste varies as do people’s preferences. While I always enjoy this Chang’s and many others I have visited, I still consider the food not on par with better dining establishments.

From my past experiences I would not have given this restaurant before star however, they seem to have picked up on the quality and service. We ordered their famous Chicken Wraps as an appetizer and their Sesame Chicken with Brown rice for our entrée to share. The appetizer came out quickly and was much better tasting and more satisfying than it has been in the past. In the past their was either not enough lettuce wraps or their was very little chicken for the price. Basically, there always seemed to be a consistency issue. Which leads me to say that I hope this visit wasn’t a fluke. I also appreciated the one sauce on the side rather than the trio of sauces they gave to you in the past. The entrée came out in perfect timing, just as we were finishing up our appetizer. Again it was visual satisfying with bright green broccoli and red peppers. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not too heavy and not overly dressed in sauce. It was the perfect serving size for two people to enjoy as well. The ambiance is just as lavish, warm and intimate as always. I love their décor and overall feel of the restaurant. A much more upscale venue in which to enjoy Chinese food.

Consistency — EXCEPT, I used to crave PF Changs when on a road-trip, and narrowed down my choice to Kung Pao Chicken. OK I know that is a bit hackneyed, to choose one dish every time but I found it delicious and exactly to my tastes. On a trip to Ohio, I found that KP chicken had been(at a number of trial sites) changed to a healthier, lower sodium recipe that(of all things) contained boiled celery — absolutely disgusting — to my palate that is. I didn’t expect this new, healthy option to be adopted in Charleston — but it was. Adopted is exactly right, like a «red-headed stepchild» — unwanted and certainly unloved. I’ve had it with Changs.

We ventured in here the other afternoon for a spontaneous dinner date. Having never been before, we had no idea what to expect. Also, I’ve only had non-take-out Chinese food one other place(on Daniel Island), so that’s all I have to compare it to. I started out with their Agave Margarita, which was pretty great. It was smaller and more expensive($ 9) than my usual at our go-to Mexican restaurant, but I could tell it was higher quality. We chose to do the 2 for 4 special they were running(or maybe it’s always an option in the menu?). We both started with the Egg Drop soup, which was pretty yummy. We then had Mongolian Beef and some sort of Spicy Chicken. For one, the spicy chicken was amazing — just not spicy. While delicious, the Mongolian Beef had a TON of sauce on it, which was less than desirable. Just like the other restaurant, they bring out the meals and you serve yourself from both plates(making sharing SO much easier). For dessert we tried the peanut butter crunch cake and the salted caramel cake. I have no idea about the peanut butter crunch, but the salted caramel cake was great! Our server was very attentive, bringing my husband his required 5 diet cokes and knew everything on the menu well enough to help us figure out what we would like and what we would not. We went pretty early(6 isn) so it wasn’t crowded and there wasn’t a wait. The only complaint is that the parking lot is shared with some businesses and another restaurant, so it was a little hard to find a spot. Overall, I would come here again, skip the alcohol, and figure out what that chicken dish was!
