Stayed here two nights with a tour group. The property is somewhat dated, with small bathrooms, and some signs of wear and tear over the years. I don’t know what the cost of the room was, because it was included in our overall tour price. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, but it worked perfectly and kept the room at the set temperature. The entire staff is very courteous and helpful. Our tour group leader and driver messed up and delivered our baggage to the wrong rooms, and they were not much help in locating our bags. However, I want to point out that this had nothing to do with the hotel staff, since they were not involved in luggage handling at all. I DO want to point out that the hotel manager asked me what the problem was, and when I told her our bags were missing, she and her staff began searching the property for them AND finally located the bags for us. So, while our tour group leader and driver were of little to no help in correcting the problem they created, the hotel manager and staff went above and beyond in correcting a problem which they did not create. My heartfelt thanks to the management and staff at this hotel for voluntarily helping locate our baggage. «Our people make the difference,» is not just words at the Patriots Point Quality Inn. Breakfast was very good, plenty of hot delicious food and plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your breakfast. The breakfast staff was very courteous and friendly and kept all food well stocked. Housekeeping did not get to our room until late afternoon, but the housekeeper was courteous and helpful and made it clear she wanted to make our stay comfortable. The free WiFi was adequate, with a solid connection to the internet, and the TV was a nice flat screen. I observed there was a guest laundry available too. Some people in our group said there were fresh cup cakes in the evening up in the breakfast area. Overall, a decent place, with a GREAT staff.

We stayed here three nights, one night before and two nights after a cruise to the Bahamas out of Charleston. It’s a good place where using their«Park and cruise» plan, you can leave your car here and they provide transportation to and from the cruise pier. The rooms are quite nice, altho a bit pricey at $ 149 a day, and the limo service was on time and courteous. The negatives: When we returned from the cruise, we called the hotel for our return limo ride, but when we arrived at the hotel at 9:45, as expected, we had surmised, we were told the room was not available until well after noon. «Well– you know check in time is 3PM.» Arrangements should have been made for the returning guests. My wife slept on a sofa in the lobby for two hours as we waited. when the room was available, tho we advised staff of our whereabouts and our eagerness to get into the room, we had to ask at the desk to determine if the room was available yet. Staff didn’t seem too concerned that we were not in out room. The room telephone didn’t work. The wi-fi was very slow– about like a dial up. When we pointed this out to the desk staff, the response was«I don’t know– we have a different system for the hotel computers» Sort of a «let them eat cake» attitude. Staff was always seemingly unconcerned when we had any problem, responding with the«corporate» «I’m very sorry about that» but providing little in the way of assistance. But, that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays, so I guess I can’t rate then down for that. Positives: There was a full breakfast included in the price of the room, and a very nice lady cook who made sure it was all fresh and good. Pleasant large dining area. Good location near Patriots Point Maritime Museum and lots of local restaurants. .There were free cookies on the desk in the lobby. Secure parking. We went to the car to find a note warning us that there were«Valuables visible in the car.» Well landscaped. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms.

First the general and good stuff: — Exterior is nicely kept. — Area is safe and convenient, at the foot of the Cooper River Bridge. — Check-in process was efficient(if not slightly flawed, see rant below). — Room was clean, nice size. — Free waters and sodas in lobby, occasionally, in a tub of ice — Decent, free, breakfast — Free wi-fi(didn’t use) Now the bad, rant kind of stuff: — The bathroom was straight out of the 80’s. The fixtures barely worked, the shower curtain installation looked like it was used as a training exercise for the new maintenance guy, and he failed. Water seeped out from the edges, in spite of my best efforts. The TP and tissue holders were loosely held in their respective«holes» in the face of the counter. The door didn’t open all the way because the aforementioned shower curtain rod(one of those semi-circle jobs) interfered. This was a big deal if you wanted to sit on the toilet, because the door interfered with your legs. — Price, although not bad for the area, still high(~$ 140/night) — Breakfast in the food-area only, don’t plan to take it to your room, unless you’re one who gets away with it. My wife and I like to take a plate to the room and watch TV, chill out a bit, to start the day. Nope, not here. I was followed and told that I had to return to the food area to eat. Not long after, someone took their plate to the elevator and left the area. Hmmm. — Tickets must be presented for breakfast. Odd again given that breakfast is free for EVERYONE. I can see trying to avoid the guy off the street looking to scab a biscuit, but just make me show a key. — At check in, I asked about breakfast. He said, yes, you’ll smell it from your room. He was right, we were right there. But he didn’t tell me about the tickets. Tough on the first morning. A little embarrassing. So, in summary, you will most likely want to consider this place because of the good things. And, since you’re reading this, you may very well give it 4 or 5 stars(price and that pesky shower curtain rod preventing the 5th star for some) because you now have the inside word.
