I mainly go to Ace to use their U.S. Postal service. It’s much easier then going to the main post office. The wait usually isn’t too long and the service is always friendly.
The ace employees are always friendly and willing help you find what you need. There is a good supply of hardware, tools, plumbing supplies, yard supplies and plants.

don’t know what the customer service comment is about, always helpful and friendly here. Screws and bolts are usually quite cheaper than lowes and they have a far wider selection

Does the second time in three months that I’ve come to ace hardware on Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant South Carolina. Both times I was helped by Richard. I’m just blown away by his great service.

I disagree that they aren’t focused on customer service here. Every time I come in they’re more than willing to help and know the store inside and out. I would prefer to come here than the big box down the street. The only downfall is that Ace obviously doesn’t have as a big a selection. I’ll usually check here first, then try other options if needed.
I love that they have a Post Office in here too. They’re full service so you can get anything done you normally would at the other Mt P USPS (except picking up mail) and save yourself a ton of time.
An even bigger bonus is that Sweetgrass Café is attached to the side of the building so make sure to schedule your home improvement break around lunch time.
