I know I only wrote my initial review of Trek just recently, but that review was from an experience long ago. After being reminded of their level of service, from my own recent review, I found myself in need of their services again. Both bikes were in need of a once over and one of them had a flat tire as well. Again at Trek, the staff were so insanely helpful. As mentioned before, it didn’t matter that I didn’t have expensive bikes that I purchased from their shop, they were willing to help me just the same as the guy with the carbon fiber road racer next to me. They immediately got the one bike on the gurney to be operated on and checking everything over. He asked what was wrong with the second bike to which I replied«nothing». I just wanted to make sure it was sage to ride as it had been sitting stagnant for a while and I was already bringing in one so… Not only did he have the bike looked over, he also suggested fitting me for the bike to make sure I was riding properly and maximizing my energy output. All this cost me a small sum for the bike tube and the labor charge. He let me know that they don’t charge for what they refer to as a «Safety Check» and praised me for being proactive enough to bring them in to be looked at. The way they see it, they’d rather offer a free safety check to riders who are looking to prevent a problem in the future. Service like this is while I’ll continue to be a customer even though I’m moving down the road.

Was looking for a mountain bike and wanted to spend around $ 1,000. I visited all the stores in the greater charleston area and Trek had the best customer service by far. I’m not an expert and they took the time to explain the differences between bikes and didn’t push me toward the most expensive. Most of the other stores are staffed with college kids with beards who assume we all grew up riding $ 3,000 bikes and know everything already and couldn’t care less about the customers. Thank you Trek, I won’t bother driving around next time just coming straight there.

i bought a bike rack from this place today… the kid not only helped me select the right rack for my truck — he also came out into the parking lot and installed it… i have also used the service dept for my tune ups… they pass along local trail info… and are just helpful. i am happy to have this place as my local bike shop… they go the extra step for you…

Staff was super nice and helpful… It’s hard to not keep coming in and buying everything the store has to offer. Went in on a busy day before a big weekend and they still managed to help my friend out with a service to his bike before a long(store sponsored ride). If I lived in the area, I would definitely join their group rides that they have for varying skill levels. Lots of merchandise and bikes to choose from here. Their clearance rack is pretty well stocked with nice items.
