Mike was recommended to us from a co-​worker to help us arrange a destination wedding in Charleston, and his assistance was invaluable. Professional and organized, he always gave us a quality selection of vendors to choose from. And his presence on wedding day, from start to finish, made everything go smoothly, and as Mother of the Bride, I didn’t have to worry about a thing and enjoyed the day without worrying about a thing. Michael went above and beyond! Before we ever even got to Charleston (we are planning our wedding from NYC) Michael gave us a list of venues and offered to make appts. He takes great care in what he does, takes a limited number of weddings a year and loves personal attention to detail. Mike Winship and his team are the real deal. My husband and I wanted to get married in Charleston, but lived in Pittsburgh – both of us with full-​time and demanding jobs. We knew that we would need help navigating the territory and have an ally in Charleston – there are MANY vendors in Charleston and we wanted to pick the perfect ones. Mike came highly recommended to us – and we were not disappointed. From the first phone call, Mike was ready to go and excited about working with us on our wedding. Notice I said «…working with us…» He did not dictate, but instead guided us through the process, while still allowing us to put our stamp on the wedding. He introduced us to the best of the best in Charleston – all of his vendors LOVE working with him and that is reflected from the first meeting with the vendors to the day of the wedding. We did not worry about a thing on the day of our wedding – we were able to enjoy the party, and our friends and family. Even my father, who is a man of few words, said, «Mike did not just make sure this was a party, but an EVENT.» High praise, indeed. Many of our friends and family members commented on how professional and courteous Mike was at our wedding – we could not agree more! We loved working with him and highly, highly, recommend his services…

I can’t say enough great things about Mike and Winship Productions. We have been working with him since October 2012 for our April 2014 wedding at Boone Hall. Although we have lived in Charleston for a while, I had no idea which vendors had good reputations and more importantly, I have no idea where to even begin! Mike set us up with great timeline and great list of his favorite vendors to get us started. He’s the kind of guy who wants to get to know you as a couple and find out what the two of you want out of your wedding and pairs you with the best vendors for your event! He’s worked as a wedding planner for years so he knows pretty much everybody in the industry around town and they always have such great things to say about him! Above all, I’d have to say his attitude and enthusiasm are probably the best part of having him as our planner. He is full of energy and he’s always ready to find the next solution to any issue. He will never tell you something can’t happen… instead he finds the best way to make it work into your vision! He’s been a true joy to work with and can’t wait for our big day!
