BUSINESSISCLOSED. Came by 9÷10÷2015 hoping to order something for dinner but the store is empty. Sad to see another mom & pop place close down.

I’ve eaten here one time before and had the orange chicken(maybe 2 months ago) and it was good. This time not so much. It was ready to be picked up when I got there, so that was good. However, the cashier was talking on her cell phone(not taking an order) the whole time I was there. The Chicken was tough and some parts were so hard I couldn’t chew them. The rice was okay. One of our orders had hair in it(which I know happens but still not good). The wonton soup was very plan, somewhat greasy and the meat was not a good consistency. Crispy Noodles smelled like dirty oil. One of the egg rolls didn’t seem cooked all the way. Over all today we were pretty disappointed.

The owners of this place are a young hard working couple. They are also very friendly. I have only been here twice but i was pleased with their selection and food. It’s nothing out of the ordinary. I can’t say much about their deliveries because i always pick up. I’d come here again. Their prices are reasonable.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I read them and decided to be brave and try them anyway. I was not disappointed! I ordered online, waited 5 minutes to leave, it took me 5 minutes to get there and the order was ready when I walked in the door. No problem with timing there. I ordered the Steamed Dumplings, Singapore Noodles and Szechuan Chicken, all the items I rate a Chinese restaurant on.(I usually try the hot and sour soup too, but I wasn’t in the mood for that today) Everything I ordered was very tasty, left no funny aftertaste(like some reviews said) and the portions are very generous. Did the food taste exactly like my usual go to places. No, but I don’t expect that, it’s a different restaurant, and flavors vary between Hunan, Szechuan, Mongolian, etc. The flavor bases are all right on and then the other spices and seasonings, just add to the food in a good way. No, I don’t work for Fu Lai, but they have a new fan. Ignore the bad reviews and give them a shot!

Placed an online order. After being 15 minutes late, tried to call them. The man on the phone was extremely hard to understand. After talking for 5 minutes, he still thought I was trying to place an order. I mean, come on, have someone that can understand basic English! He finally said he had to talk to his manager and call back. The manager calls back and says they had some big orders and it would be another 30 minutes. The place is down the street from me, so there’s no way they even saw the order till then. I told them forget it. I would never order from them again.

Menu items tried: Egg Rolls — Not very good, limp and filled with sauerkraut Roast Pork Lo Mein — Nice size order, but it seems as though they added liquid smoke to the recipe. Let’s just say I was tasting it for much longer than I cared for. No real taste other than that smoke taste Orange chicken — Lots of breading and very small pieces of chicken, sauce isn’t overly sweet, with a nice orange taste. Comes with broccoli which is a nice touch Mongolian Beef — Best dish of the night, but there was that smokey taste again. Kung Pao Chicken — not bad but could have been spicier Overall — meh not sure I’ll be back unless they can customize the order to get rid of that smokey taste. For the price, there are much better places to spend your money.

Fu Lai’s my go-to neighborhood Chinese restaurant… I’ve tried many of the menu items and they’ve all been good. Their egg rolls are actually pretty decent, so I’m not sure where other reviewers are coming from? Whereas the little«to-go» packets for take-out is duck sauce(not sweet&sour), duck sauce tastes okay(if you’d rather have sweet & sour, they’ll give you some(when I pick up my order I ask for packets of sweet&sour, the lady says«these packets are duck sauce, would you like sweet & sour?» They are very nice!). As far as authenticity of Chinese fried rice, as other reviewers argue, the pork fried rice is authentically VERY good! I order it every time! To sum up this place, it’s clean, my order is/has been ready within the given specified time, and I’ve ALWAYS been completely satisfied with the taste & quality of the food, and the people here are very friendly.

Pick up order took twice as long as I was told. Had to wait in the dining area, which was no warmer than outside, starring at a pile(literally) of leaves and other trash amongst the tables. The beef fried rice wasn’t like any I’ve ever had before… Which isn’t good nor bad, just nothing I’ll ever have a desire to eat again. Chicken lo mein wasn’t good at all. Very bland with weird little bits of what I assume is chicken. Teriyaki beef on a stick appetizer was actually fairly good. Egg roll was exactly as Joanne D. described… Stuffed with seemingly uncooked cabbage and nothing else. Poor first impression + way better options in the area = Will not be coming back.

The absolute most grotesque food I have ever tried to eat. The fried rice isn’t even authentic. The shrimp with broccoli is disgusting. I am used to a clear sauce, there was some sort of brown gelatinous sauce on it. The shrimp were not clean, very low grade. The broccoli tasted dirty. Let’s not even discuss the egg roll. The egg roll is full of raw filthy cabbage and nothing else. When you ask for sweet and sour sauce you end up with duck sauce. The bottom line is that the food was not edible. I am now out $ 30 on Chinese carry out that should only be served to the trash can. I am now eating fruit loops.
