We were told delivery(ordered through street eats) would take 45 – 60 mins. It took over 2 hours. They answered an initial call over an hour after we placed the order and told us it was 15 minutes away, which was a lie. They then let the phone ring out numerous times. Street eats understood our frustration and refunded our money. Thank you street eats. Stick to pick up from this place, if at all…

I always see this place pop up on GrubHub but never have over $ 20 of food to order. But, one day I was driving by and decided to stop in. It was completely empty. Very clean. Dinner tables downstairs and hookah upstairs. The guy was super nice and asked if I wanted to tour the upstairs but I didn’t feel like climbing stairs… lol. I got the chicken gyro which was packed with flavor and the sauce was on point. No one spice was overwhelming. It also came with seasoned vegetables. I can see how it would turn some off because it’s just seasoning vs dressing. I also got a side of fries that were well prepared. I will definitely be back again! Order only took about 10 minutes to prepare.

I had been passing this place curious as to what a Mediterranean restaurant lodged between a liquor store and a police precinct would offer? My sister and I went for lunch on a Friday and no one was in this place. I was pleasantly surprised at the renovations and the upgraded décor. Kind of like a lounge/restaurant, it’s hard to make this spot out due to the heavily tinted windows, which I think needs to come off if they want to attract more customers. We were seated by the one-man band –who was working as the wait staff, cook, and manager on today. The food did not take long to be served and it was actually pretty good. Fresh hummus with a really nice presentation of olives and oil strategically slathered for decoration. I had the chicken shawarma, super tender flavorful chicken with really good basmati rice. The flavor was not shawarma though, more so chipotle? But it was not bad at all. The portions were very generous. As we were chatting about our week, the large tv mounted on the wall was turned up high to some person rappin, cursing, and carryin’ on about«the streetz». So we told our host and asked if he could turn it off. He immediately apologized and fumbled with the remote until the ignorance ceased. As we were leaving, he pulled aside two young men that were doing some work for him, he began to scold them about the tv. My sister and I laughed as they were being reprimanded. Just goes to show you they are not used to getting a lot of business, but hopefully the community will make their way over and give this little Mediterranean café a chance. Glad WEDID!

It seems to me that they are having delivery problems, I got charged 34 $ and never got my food delivered, when I called they said they can’t do anything about it, I mean really!!! i ordered a mix grill side of fries and an order of chicken wings, it’s also more on the expensive side, I asked for the manage but I have been told that he stepped outside for a minute, 30 minutes passed called again, lol guess what he still not there, what kind of establishment operate without a food manger(I think that’s why it’s a requirement by the HEALTHDEPARTMENT) Requested that whoever was in charge to contact me about the FOODTHAT I PAIDANDNEVERGOTDELIVERED, but unfortunately no one did address my issue with them, if j could give them a –1 star I would have done so but I can’t they are getting this 1 star just because it’s the lowest on Unilocal

I ordered delivery for the first time and the hummus had a HAIR in it. We ordered lamb kabab, hummus and baklava but ended up eating none of it. Way to crush your appetite.

This is my go to restaurant to get food delivered from. I’ve ordered about 3 times so far. I’ve only had the chicken kabobs but they are good! The cheesecake is good also. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I recently found out that they have a hookah bar and will be visiting soon.

Awesome place. The best Arabic food I have ever had and trust me I have had plenty. The baba ganoush is made to order. The falafel are the best I have had to date. I went there twice just to make sure the awesome experience want a fluke, and they did not disappoint! I believe the owners are Egyptian. I recommend the vegetarian platter for a starter, it comes with foul(pronounced fool) Which is a bean dish. The shawarma are very tasty, I got chicken my wife got the falafel one. Also we got a plate of rice and kabob for my daughter which she loved. Fire dessert I recommend the rice pudding, it is made by the restaurant and not prepackaged. The only complaint was that the service is a bit slow even though we were the only ones there. But given the friendliness of our waitress and the awesome food I can overlooking the pace of service. We will go again!

Don’t get delivery. The driver couldn’t find the dorm on the Univ of MD Campus. She had an iPhone and even with texting her and many calls it took a long time. The hot chocolate was spilled and the food was cold. She told us we could get a full refund. We contacted Grub Hub about a refund. We got texts from the owner telling us not to lie and we were trying to get free food. No, we just didn’t want to pay for cold food that we could not eat. Try teaching you delivery people to use the GPS on their iPhones and a little customer service 101.

Pretty good. Convenient as its in walking distance from my house. Shawarma and kabobs are legit and I like that they don’t try to everything like Aladdin Sizzler. I hope this place survives

I’ve been here 3 or 4 times, including once time where I got food to go. The food is outstanding. Hummus is so hard to get right, but they DO. It’s my favorite every time. I wish I could get it with vegetables instead of pita bread but, minor issue. The french fries are excellent too. I know, they’re french fries and aren’t even Middle Eastern, but they are really really good. I’ve also had the foule which is very good, and the wings, which thrice were excellent and once tasted a little overdone or old. They have their own spice mixture, which is great. They also have buffalo and other sauces too, if you prefer. Everything comes out of the kitchen hot and fresh. Unfortunately for you all, that’s all I keep getting. The same thing again and again. So I can’t opine on the rest of the menu because these things keep me sated enough. As far as ambiance… part of the issue, I think, is that it’s perennially empty. It’s a nice space. Good distance between the tables, there are also sofas with lower tables for a less formal dining experience. It’s a big space and cutely-adorned. But there were few people in it when I have been there, so it looks empty and lifeless. The way to fix this is for more people to come. Not sure the best way to rectify it — they have had many people for town or civic events… maybe host those, or have happy hour or something(with specials, not drinks but food), tastings? Not sure. It’s not a bad space. I also wonder if it’s possible for outside dining on nice days… not sure there’s space. But none of this trumps the fact that the food is AWESOME. Service is decent to good, depending whom you get. One time we got someone who seemed to vanish partway through the meal, but the rest of the time the serving staff has been more than attentive, friendly, and treated us like valued customers.(Each time, I was with different people.) I believe most of the time we are served by the family members, but regardless, always with good cheer and respect. There is free wifi and it’s very good. I will be back, again and again. But I can’t promise I’ll ever order anything different to eat, because those are so, so satisfying.

The Kufta Kabob and Gyro are fantastic. Know that the website has not updated prices or options. For example the website says the kabob is 8.99 when it’s actually 9.99.(Not a big deal to me). The website says the gyro is 6.99 and comes with fries when actually it’s 7.99 and no fries. So be prepared for that until they update. Overall the food is delicious. I’ve only dined in once because the atmosphere is a cold zero. I’ve done carry out three times, including the order I just placed. If you can get around the blah atmosphere and the one server that is on the verge of rolling her eyes then try this place. Yum yum!

Overall, this place has a sub par vibe. However, for my first experience(Mt. Rainer Day) I did not care for the customer service. I had a opportunity to to meet the owner’s family but their workers were slow and unaware of pricing which was a turn off.

I give this place 4 stars bc of the food. It’s really good! BUT the atmosphere is lacking, I was surprised at the dull environment when I walked in for the first time. The service is hit or miss. My second visit was a call in order. When I got there I sat at the counter for 10 minutes before seeing anyone. This restaurant is new, and has tons of potential. I give it 4 stars because the food is homemade and delicious! The veggie burger is hardy and filling, the vegetable kabob is grilled just right, and my kid likes the foole dip. Great prices, clean environment. I’m very happy this place is here, it’s walking distance from my house and serves great food, let’s just hope they can work out the kinks and create an environment that is welcoming. Please get rid of the TVs!

Delightful new addition to Mount Rainier. Menu is not large, but there is a nice selection. We started with hummus which was clearly homemade. Pita was also soft and warm and very fresh. Delicious! I had a chicken shawarma wrap with fries and my husband had the lamb burger. Portions were large, but not huge. Food was fresh tasting and obviously homemade. We ended with tasty baklava. Entire bill for two of us was less than $ 30. Can’t wait to come back!
