My wife and I stopped in for dinner around 7:30, after reading a review that they had a dinner menu. We went on a Tuesday night, their live music evening. The keyboard singer/soloist may have been good, had we stayed long enough to hear more than one song. It was so loud that I had to yell to the bartender for my order, and he was only two feet from me. A woman showed us to a high table with tall chairs, but didn’t take any orders, offer a menu, or even know what was on tap. I finally found a menu, which was primarily high fat/cholesterol appetizers and flat-bread pizzas. We didn’t see anyone eating anything, or smell food cooking, so we’re still wondering if they cook on music night. They had a small dining room off of the bar area, but not a soul in there. The bar, however, was packed. My wife gulped down her diet soda sans carbonation, and I my beer, and we left to find a diner. Don’t think we’ll consider the Mt. Royal Inn for food.
