First time at Bob Evans. I ordered the chicken noodle soup along with a salad. The soup lacked the broth. The bowl was full of noodles and pieces of chicken… no need for a spoon. The salad was good. The service was ok at best since I needed to flag down the server for refills. Perhaps it’s the last time dining at Bob Evans.

Great pancakes and eggs! The only thing I would suggest is getting the hash browns extra crispy. The price is good for the amount of food you get. I would eat here again, the service was excellent.

A good place for all meals. Bob Evans has a great variety of items on their menu. They change seasonal items frequently. That can be good and bad. Some of my favorite items have been seasonal and they’re no more. Service is generally good and the restaurant is clean. Bob Evans is usually less busy than other places in town and easier to find a seat during peak hours.

We don’t have Bob Evans in our neck of the woods(Topeka, KS). So we decided to give it a try since this was our last night out. The hostess and the waitress were very friendly. The waitress Rebecca was our waitress and she got our order right and stayed on top of our drinks. There were a number of other tables in her section, so she was busy. The food was good and cook correctly to order for the four of us in our party. Portions were generous. I did the 3-Course Dinner with a sirloin steak., salad and baked potato. It was pretty tasty and I didn’t leave any food on my plate. Quite the bargain! The restaurant was clean and well kept. I look forward to my next opportunity to eat at Bob Evans.

Apart from the fact that this restaurant is incredibly clean, which is an anomaly anymore, the food and service were incredible. Restaurant is smoke free, well lit, and has great menu options. Selected the Be-Fit breakfast for a 350 calorie count. My breakfast arrived and was shockingly a plate full!(See picture). It was delicious and the cranberry whole wheat pancakes were filling! The fruit was obviously cut fresh. AND the eggs HOT when my plate arrived. Server was attentive and friendly to include smiles and light chit chat. This location has a bakery with fresh baked goods available to take home with you. They looked scrumptious. They also offer a few gift type items such candles, jams, honey, candy, etc. The gal that seats patrons also clears tables and she works hard and still SMILES! Of you do a pit stop or a hotel stay in Mt Vernon… EAT here!!!

Service is terrible. I counted ten employees, the restaurant was not busy, but it took ten minutes for us to be seated, and that was only after the party ahead of us tracked down the manager. It took another five minutes for a server to take our order. No one checked to see if we needed any tea refills while we ate. Servers were yelling at the kitchen staff. It was not at all a professional experience. On the positive note, the food was good.

Stopped in for lunch on our way back to Tennessee. The pot roast dinner was very good. If you can’t figure out what you will be ordering start with bake potatoes soup it will warm your innerards. That’s country folk talk for insides.

Very good, but I usually just either get breakfast or their knife and fork sandwiches… staff is friendly and cheerful… BUT, don’t get there right after a tour bus just dropped off a bunch of seniors… move on.

Been to this BE for years and something was different, The place was clean, the food was hot and good, presentation was perfect Bob Evans, wait staff was clean and sharp looking and the manager was on patrol making sure she did not se anyone wanting coffee or anything. upon check out I asked if the place was under new management. I was informed that it was I just had to tell the people how much it had changed. This Bob Evans has done a complete flip flop from the worst we had to eat at to the one we look forward to eating at the most. Food was great Wait staff was great Cleanliness was great Manager was great I give this BE restaurant five stars proudly and would recommend this Bob Evans above the corporate headquarters BE in Ohio, been there too and was the best until this management took over here in Mt Vernon, IL
