I guess it’s true that you get what you pay for, especially in this case. For approximately $ 10 I got 2 Belgian waffles, 2 scrambled eggs, grits, bacon and coffee. I’d call that a pretty good value to just feel full. If you’re coming here for taste and ambiance you can forget that. Its definitely not the cleanest of restaurants but its about par with most Waffle Houses. I still can’t figure out way places that supposedly specialize in waffles can’t keep up with cleanliness. The waffles were malt based but bland. The batter used just had no real taste. The scoop of butter on top of the waffle was literally the size of an ice cream scoop you’d find on a cone. Not sure if that was butter either. The syrup was no way real maple syrup and was more than likely corn syrup. Again no taste. The bacon looked dried out. The eggs were supposedly medium but were overcooked and dry. The grits were lumpy. The coffee tasted as bland as McDonalds too but I’ve been ruined by Starbucks. If I was a starving college student I’d eat here just to keep the hunger pains away. If you’re not don’t waste your time.

Thought this was a chain, but it’s an «Edna’s.» I’d stopped in after a nite camping at the state park couple miles down the road. I was instantly greeted and offered coffee and ice water. They have a menu but I ordered what I wanted which the sunburned nice lady readily wrote down. The breakfast was great, people friendly, service good and prices reasonable. I didn’t see the junk some of the other reviewers saw, i had a good breakfast and i’d come back, and recommend it as a local breakfast diner.

Love this place but the one time I try to eat here the door is locked, sign says open at 5:30 … Door is locked we knock. Server says the cook has not shown up yet … Needless to say I’m at Cracker Barrel

How has this place not been shut down by health or fire inspectors? Nothing looked sanitary and there was so much caked grease everywhere that I’m amazed it hasn’t burned down yet. Food is passable, but tough to enjoy due to the filth of the kitchen.

I understand the whole waiting for a table to open up thing but, for what? Disgusting ceiling tiles that are broken and moldy, or roaches crawling right next to your feet just steps away from where your food is being prepared? Seen a waitress cash out a customer and go right to refilling drinks with out washing her hands. Small food portions compared to other breakfast places near by.

Wonderful breakfast and lunch spot! Great food, great service! Where the locals eat. Hot coffee almost beats us to our table on Saturday mornings! Always our«go to» place for breakfast.

My favorite place for breakfast in town. They have a large, typical American breakfast menu. I love the waffles. They are perfectly crispy outside and soft inside. Service is always quick and polite. The one bad thing about the location is that it’s not very big. If it’s busy, it can be hard to find a seat.

After reading some of the reviews, although only 6 of them, I was looking forward to this place. Heard about the«large» portions and went in hungry as I hadn’t eaten since breakfast the prior day. Well needless to say, it was OK. Portions were average at best. One bright spot is that the service was really good. Me being from GA, I would compare it to the Waffle House, but I like Waffle House better personally.

Stopped in here after reading the other reviews to give it a try. We had eggs, omelet, bacon, waffle and potatoes. Everything was outstanding. Came to the table hot and tasting wonderful. A must stop while traveling or if you live close by.

If you go here thinking you are going there just for food you will be pleasantly surprised. The food more than makes for an older building. Great food, great service

Okay, if you’re like me, and enjoy a traditional American meal, prepared at a traditional«greasy spoon» diner… look no further! The only thing that surpasses the deliciously prepared fare at The Waffle Company is the exceptional service! The staff is friendly and accommodating. After a number of years hunting in Williamson County, this place has become a tradition with our deer camp gang. We simply do not go home without stoping here for breakfast along the way. After four years, we have never been disappointed. Again, this place would be classified by most Unilocalers as a a «Dive», but the food here never disappoints. Their waffles are absolutely incredible… served up with fresh-made whipped cream! Just in case you’re wondering, they serve breakfast all day. If you can see beyond the dated kitchen equipment, the cook’s lightly soiled apron, and worn-out furnishings… then go ahead and belly on up to the classical diner-style counter, have a seat where you can observe the magic and enjoy a wonderfully prepared meal! By the way… this place is Veteran-friendly. So that’s always a big plus for this old, retired Air Force boy!
