While this is not my primary grocery store by any means, I use it for supplement my students´ hungry stomachs. I appreciate the unique choices in healthy options and even organic available at fair prices. Mount Vernon location is well stocked, but I must admit that you have to buy what you want or will want at that moment, because the stock does vary.

Shopped for old food, brought my own bags, packed it myself, then took insults from cashier owner Polly. Rough neighborhood.

I have been shopping here with my family since I was a baby. 25 years later it still stands strong as a piece of Mount Vernon history! This is the first place I come for my groceries because not only is it inexpensive, but there is a vast variety of stuff. Their wine selection is off the charts for such a small(ish) store. And recently they have added a healthier section where you can find gluten free items like cereal and crackers. The service is always great. The location is great. I love this store. It is near and dear to my heart and I will shop here until the day I die!

Cheap closeout food that you need to watch the dates on. They don’t take manufacturers coupons and you can’t assume they will have anything other than milk and eggs — everything else is only there if they were able to get it for a steal of a price. Which is why you come here. The prices. They are low — almost always way lower than anywhere else(although sometimes not true on non-food items).

Affectionally known by my family as the«Dead Food Store» — always feel good about spending money in there — the wine section even though a bit cheesy often has great deals — only place I can get my Granny Goose Ruffle Chips and my spicy hot links — have taken many bundles of unique grocery items as a Red Cross package to my son in Seattle — I need to learn to buy the items I like in volume as often times you don’t see them again for months — great addition to the Grocery experience in Skagit Valley!

I was hesitant to go to Grocery Outlet because I admit I am a bit of a grocery store snob. I like shopping at the frilly ones. However, we have hit a tough spot financially and I decided it was worth a shot. I was looking for the most bang for my buck. We definitely were surprised, they had a lot of name brands. In fact most of the items were top brands. The prices were fantastic and the store was clean, stocked and pretty organized given the small size of it. I’m looking forward to returning and saving more money in the future.

This is a great place to get some cheap stuff. Cheese is a great bargain but make sure you check the dates on everything. The downside is the atmosphere. It’s basic but serves the purpose.

Stuff sold here is cheaper because it is excess from different stores, the manufacturer’s shipping problems or near expiration date(which you may want to check carefully on refrigerated items). They sell all kinds of non food as well shampoo, beer, frozen goods… all for low prices that usually beat other grocery stores. One of the better«Canned Food Grocery Outlet» stores, it has more selection than many other small town locations. Better than Chehalis, WA, Scappoose OR, Bellingham, WA. Tacoma(Mchord AFB) is the mother-load, but for the smaller stores this is one of the best. The entrance to the parking lot is tricky, watch out for pedestrians. .
